The best restaurants serving British food in Weymouth East Weymouth and Portland South West

Had lunch here before visiting Nothe Fort. Lovely little Cafe overlooking the Harbour. A really good selection of reasonably priced sandwiches, cakes and drinks.

We stopped by Portland as tourists from the USA. We got a scone, slice of cake, and two coffees, and they were some of the best we’ve had in Europe! The staff were friendly and helpful too.

I take black coffee and as it’s always a bit strong for me I ask for extra hot water The owner wanted to charge me for the extra hot water really? Shame as I’m local but won’t be returning

This lovely little cafe in the heart of weymouth. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful the restaurant is spotless clean and the menu has everything you could possibly want at very reasonable prices

Went for the last night of the season for Halloween. Food buffet was awesome. There was a Halloween party, but didn’t stay for that which was a shame. Place is really good.

We had a shocker when asking if the fish and chips is Nut Free. They claim it is but they fry chocolate bars in the same fryer and not in a small pan. It is very Dangerous and it’s an accident waiting to happen. I’m surprised that they don’t understand allergies.

We booked into the Nothe Tavern for a pre-Christmas lunch with friends. Excellent food (turkey, beef, fish, vegetarian and other options) and very friendly, helpful service. Terrific view of the harbour and coastline and plenty of parking. Highly recommended.

Wouldn't let us sit outside with the pram because "no under 16s". What's a 5 week old baby going to do on a cold January afternoon. Very strange place that goes out of their way to turn people away.
