Lovely little cafe, overlooking the harbour, tucked away from all the hustle and bustle. Warm and friendly service, very good coffee. A great little gem. Menu looked good and there appeared to be gluten free and vegetarian options, sadly we didn’t try as we just stopped off mid walk for a hot drink. We would go back if visiting again, lovely staff.

There are many things to love about this place. It's completely open air and far from the madding crowd, right next to the sea with great views of the Jurassic coast, the old harbour and the town beach; the menu is extensive and includes booze, and they make good use of local produce like crab and mackerel. However nice the crab sandwiches may be - and a woman was raving about them - they are small for the price of £11.50. Ditto the grilled mackerel at £11.95 - you can get a mackerel bap for half the price at Bennett's on the old harbour, but it probably won't be as fresh. I quite fancied the crab and chips - really good idea. But really? £13 for a portion of chips, a salad garnish and a little pile of 50/50 brown and white crab meat? But I did enjoy my beer next to the sea and I will be back. I didn't order food but I did look around at what other people were eating, and I am basing my review on that. I would have given 4/5 but I just found the prices too steep and the portions too small for my budget.

Nice location but so expensive! Great spot to take in the views, but a beer a coffee and one tiny bacon, brie & cranberry toasty with a few leaves a couple of slices of cucumber and tomato came to £17.70...! No crisps or chips with that, just a tiny toasted sandwich which was gone in seconds... I think that toasty was £9.50. For that I'd expect something pretty special. This is Weymouth not Monaco.

Searched this cafe out after reading all the excellent reviews. I have to say we were disappointed. It was extremely busy and we thought that must be a good omen......but..... ordered Fish and chips for 4. Waited 40 minutes and when it arrived we were surprised at what we had actually been given, the chips tasted frozen, the fish came as 2 small bits to each serving, batter was greasy and very little fish inside. The portion of mushy peas was a tiny paper sauce cup, the same size that the tartare sauce was in so about a soup spoon portion. We were sure that the board advertised bread and butter with it also, but this did not arrive, maybe we read the board wrong?? The position of the cafe is lovely and the staff were friendly enough but I am sorry but the food for us was poor. We would not recommend.

Spent a wonderful couple of days in Weymouth visiting our friends and were so pleased Stone Pier is open for the season. The extensive choice of toasties always makes my mouth water. Cheese and Kimchi was exceptional as was hubby's bacon, brie and cranberry. The coffee fresh and perfect temperature hot..hate luke warm coffee! The pricing is spot on value for money and delicious fresh food. Really friendly staff and calm, peaceful location to just sit and chill. We could stay here for hours! It's a must visit if you are in Weymouth, definitely worth the walk around or park at Nothe.

Mixed review: A warm and friendly welcome, clean and tidy. Day one: breakfast was lovely, all appeared freshly cooked so it took a little longer, the food was nice and of great value. Feel like there was a whole can of beans for the 'beans on toast' and it was piping hot. The pot of tea was plentiful The 'coffee' milkshake was more like warm milk, not the best. Day two: ordered the thick shake this time - meant to be with ice cream and so thought that would make it cooler and tastier - wrong, it was the same as the previous visit with cream and sprinkles - not the best (if you want a nice thick iced coffee, visit the White Stones cafe). The food took a bit longer again as it was Sunday and busy. The mushroom on toast was cold but we were on a time crunch, so we couldn't send it back. The taste was nice, just cold and the black pudding was a bit on the rubbery side. Everyone else enjoyed theirs.
