We stopped by Portland as tourists from the USA. We got a scone, slice of cake, and two coffees, and they were some of the best we’ve had in Europe! The staff were friendly and helpful too.

Tried out en-spec, whilst passing. Very lovely staff taking orders, and serving. Pretty table cloth. Good menu. Absolutely delightful home made cake and scones. Amazing views over harbour. Had a good chat with the proprietor, who took the time to talk. Overall, absolutely delighted with everything, and we hope the establishment thrives, as it really deserves to.

Another fantastic experience at The T Shop. As ever, a warm welcome by Andy and the team. Today, we had: A Dorset Cream Tea - a beautifully fresh, soft, warm fruit scone, jam and clotted cream. Biscoff Cake - deeeelicious! Soft, moist sponge with the perfect amount of buttercream. All home-made by the lovely Paula. She can bake!! New 'seagull scarers' are doing a great job - not that we've ever had any issues....our cakes don't last long enough! Oh....and 'music' provided by Dickie.

The menu is comprehensive and includes everything from Spanish tostadas, to traditional English tea item as well as sandwiches, toasters and panini. The cakes are made fresh everyday. So far the Dorset Apple Cake and Hummingbird cake have been sampled and thoroughly enjoyed. There is a wide variety of hot and cold drinks. Tea is served in quirky teapots and locally handmade cosies. Tea is also served in bone china cups - no plastic here! My choice of brunch was a ham and tomato panini. The combo of mature cheddar and mozzarella was inspired and something I’ll be doing when I go home. Overall an outstanding experience. Also did I mention the view 🤔

You have to visit this cafe! My sister and I stopped for lunch, I had the savoury tea (cheese scone, with cheddar, chutney and grapes with a pot of tea) plus a scone with jam and cream and my sister had a panini. Everything was delicious, freshly made and so yummy! We sat outside by the harbour with lovely views. All the staff members were so friendly, could not fault a single thing. To top it off it was such good value. We will definitely be back, thank you so much!

At long last a tea shop which understands the concept of tea. No mugs or paper cups here. The whole works : proper china cups and saucers (beautifully mismatched), teapots with tea cosies, fast and efficient and friendly service, delicious food. All this overlooking the harbour, whilst being serenaded by a man playing classical guitar. We will be back. Love the attention to detail and the importance attached to presentation.

Nice interior, cups and generous teapots (with nice tea cosies). Menu is very basic for savoury - sandwiches, toasties, soup and baked potatoes. Which is fine if you have very fussy kids. A little push forward to something like homemade quiche or sausage rolls, scotch eggs or something would help in this area. Kids are well catered to with picnic bags with sandwich crisp and biscuit, plus fruit shoot drink. An additional piece of fruit here would have been good. Overall it was a pleasant place to escape a chilly day and we left clean plates all round.

I absolutely LOVE this tea shop and despite the fact that we tend to always park way over by Weymouth Pavilion I insist on walking all the way round to the harbour whenever we visit so I can sit and have tea and a scone by the harbour before our holiday is over. The staff were friendly and helpful and the drinks were fabulous as always! The teddy bears picnic display in the window is adorable and I love the quaint decor inside the tea shop - I think if I turned up in period costume I could happily sit in there drinking tea from a proper china cup and saucer and feel like I was in a Jane Austen novel. Having a day in Weymouth we couldn't visit without my husband enjoying a crab sandwich & I was looking for a Dorset Cream Tea. On a walk around the Harbour we came across the T Shop & what a find. Three very pleasant ladies served us exactly what we were in need of. The Crab sandwich was delicious with plenty of crab & a small salad garnish with crisps. The cream tea was a wonderful home made scone with a pot of jam & a pot of clotted cream. Neither the jam nor the cream were scrimped on so the scone was lavishly covered. The tea came in a lovely tea pot with a cosy & proper China cup & saucers. A thoroughly enjoyable meal.

Friendly service, delicious coffee and my favourite apple cake of the whole holiday (had to sample a few different ones, in the name of science of course!). Love the location for people and boat watching. Really cute feel to the place, have only sat outside but imagine inside is just as nice!

It was definitely worth a visit. The yummiest scones I ever tasted (and we've tasted a few ;)). The tea cosy were really cool and the view was lovely as were the staff. The window was all kitted out for RNLI week and was really...

The scones were home made & delicious & the tea was served in proper China tea cups. They also have an adorable collection of tea cosies. What's not to like?! We sat outside overlooking the harbour to enjoy our cream tea. Lovely!

Found this little shop whilst wandering the harbour looking for a coffee. Plenty of outside seating on a sunny day. Ordered tea and coffee for six. Service was friendly and efficient. Coffee frappe was reminiscent of a thick smooth coffee milkshake and was divine. Didnt...

A great experience once again. 5th time at The Avenue and it never fails to deliver first class food and service. The students are a credit to the college. Their enthusiasm and attention to detail make the experience a real pleasure. We thoughally enjoyed the lunch and experience as usual and can't wait to return in the very near future.

I take black coffee and as it’s always a bit strong for me I ask for extra hot water The owner wanted to charge me for the extra hot water really? Shame as I’m local but won’t be returning

Mixed review: A warm and friendly welcome, clean and tidy. Day one: breakfast was lovely, all appeared freshly cooked so it took a little longer, the food was nice and of great value. Feel like there was a whole can of beans for the 'beans on toast' and it was piping hot. The pot of tea was plentiful The 'coffee' milkshake was more like warm milk, not the best. Day two: ordered the thick shake this time - meant to be with ice cream and so thought that would make it cooler and tastier - wrong, it was the same as the previous visit with cream and sprinkles - not the best (if you want a nice thick iced coffee, visit the White Stones cafe). The food took a bit longer again as it was Sunday and busy. The mushroom on toast was cold but we were on a time crunch, so we couldn't send it back. The taste was nice, just cold and the black pudding was a bit on the rubbery side. Everyone else enjoyed theirs.
