Encantadora cafetería y bacon eran lo mismo: pero un montón de otras cosas en oferta. Que hacer buenas tortas caseras que usted debe probar, pero no muy concurrido con clientes habituales que saben una cosa buena cuando lo encuentran

First visit here which was for Sunday lunch. All the waitresses had a friendly approach and nothing was too much trouble. Orders made were not exactly correctly provided ie wrong beer and crumble with ice cream instead of custard but all mistakes were quickly rectified. Nicely decorated inside and landican seems to take an interest in what people want in terms of drink even if he doesn’t currently have it. Location wise it is a bit far off for us but we would visit again.

We've eaten here many times over the years but it sadly went downhill so we haven't visited in some time. Noticed that it had been taken over earlier this year and reviews looked great so we went on Saturday for my husband's birthday. So glad we did! The refurb is lovely - seating is much more spaced out than previously. Team were all super friendly and efficient - lots of smiles and conversation if you wanted it - just how we like it. It was a very busy Saturday night and they looked full. Service as the evening went on slowed up a little but not drastically so and it didn't detract from our lovely evening. Food was exceptional! We had the crispy olives to nibble on, the trout for mains (please keep this on the menu it was amazing) and vanilla creme choux pastry and roast pineapple for dessert. It was all stunning! We only live a few miles away and are so glad to have a top notch eatery on our doorstep! Already re-booked to go with family for lunch in a few weeks time so fingers crossed we'll have the same wonderful experience! Top marks to the chef!!

Very strange menu nothing really to my liking and nothing for children either so it’s not somewhere to go with family…… ok ale but the menu needs to be bigger & nothing for a vegetarian my wife has recently become vegetarian for health reasons so we couldn’t eat here & don’t think we will return

Came to the spotted cow today for lunch with some friends. Been here a few times before, the service was good as usual. It was sad to see staff so stressed though. The pub was clearly understaffed. The girl on the bar was serving everyone, there was another running around trying to clear tables and bring food out the kitchen. Despite being so busy they were still able to show us a smile and treat us with respect. There was a bit of a wait on food but I heard that there was only 1 chef on so that was understandable. I’m not sure who is doing the rotas but only 1 chef during half term? Seems very unfair and the poor chef must have been so stressed. The food was delicious and hot though so they’re doing a great job. I saw another chef come in after our food arrived and I overheard that he has come in early to help but wasn’t able to ?clock on for it. I saw a customer (I think it was a relative of a member of staff) started clearing tables to help as the poor staff just couldn’t keep up with the amount of work. Seems a shame to see such brilliant staff working under such poor conditions. I wouldn’t be surprised if they leave, which would be such a shame as they all seemed so lovely and made the experience a good one!
