Lovely, friendly staff, and gorgeous, reasonably priced food. Their Himalayan Lamb Masala is in my top 5 curry dishes ever, and that goes back nearly 40 years of loving food from Asia.

Staff were so nice and friendly as usual Ordered our normal drinks and then they came for our order. Food was amazing as usual. My husband had a chicken ticka masala curry with rice and a peshwami naan bread, which looked and was delicious. I had the Garlic Prawns with a side of rice (I have a smaller appetite), absolutely lovely and enough for me.

Excellent meal with family staff very friendly and helpful I had the Tikka masala which was very tasty kids also catered for and the desserts well presented and liked by all those that had some and prices not unreasonable

Popped into the Runner after a day out at the Outlet village. What a surprise! Haven’t been since I was a kid (over 30 Years ago) and it was absolutely amazing! Service was brilliant; friendly and attentive. Food was delicious; lovely to have such a good curry whilst my hubby ate off the pub classics menu.

Very dissappointed. My partner and I went for Sunday lunch. My rack of lamb was tasty and well cooked but veg was undercooked to the point of raw. My partner's roast beef was tough and chewy (most of it was taken home for the dog) and again the veg was undercooked. At no time did a member of staff enquire if all was satisfactory. My partner was a publican for 15 years so this review is not made from ignorance

This pub which serves a mix of the traditional and Himalayan food was an amazing find. The pub has a large garden and car park. Has a traditional pub party with pool etc, a garden and a restaurant section. What makes it special is the two menus, one traditional, the other Himalayan. I chose from the Himalayan and had a lovely curry, served by the friendly and efficient staff. Would definitely recommend a visit.

Visited here whilst staying in the area for a dance competition. Initially because it had a play park for the kids, which is a must to keep them entertained. The bonus was the food is exceptional, very fair priced and extremely tasty. Staff are brilliant and very accommodating, nothing was too much trouble. I was able to adapt adult meals to children’s and I had a fully gluten free menu, clearly labelling what I could eat. FANTASTIC!! I recommended the prawn Himalayan curry, it was Devine and prawns cooked just right!! Overall I highly recommend this place for somewhere to eat as a couple or with family and friends. Not much to say apart from this is a hidden gem! Stayed in the area for our daughter’s dance competition. Food is exceptional, staff are exceptional. Very very accommodating service. We visited on a number of occasions during our stay and were part of a large group (30 people). Each and every one of us were blown away by the food. Very well done to the current team

Visited here while on holiday in area, food was lovely. But what was best was the price. 3 adults meals, 1 starter and 2 puddings and 3 pints of juice came to £64 . Very good value in the current climate. Also the staff were all lovely and attentive. Highly recommend they get 5 stars from us.

Wow, we can't recommend The Runner highly enough. Last night we went for a family meal to celebrate 2 birthdays and the food was incredible and amazing value for money too. This was matched by the fabulous staff and atmosphere. We ordered from the Himalayan menu and every dish was superb! So tasty! We'll definitely be back! Popped in for a pint and some food after a work event, lush food and fab beers. We had an unbelievable Himalayan style curry, veggie and Lamb Rogan Josh. Lovely pittas ,home made spectacular. Great beer on tap, went for the ipa. Will Deffo come and eat again.

Family favourite place to eat, on regular basis! Exceptional host, super-choices for Gluten Free and normal menus (there are 3), one is for Sundays with roasts or for example –mother’s day special (for the info), one is Pub favourites, perfectly done and another Himalayan cuisine with all the delights of chicken and vegetable momos as well as curries and delightful Indian sweets. Husband and I went there for lunch ad-hoc, after years of not visiting it and found a beautifully refurbished pub with menus to simply make one hungry. Service was super-attentive, anticipating needs and providing it all with a genuine smile. The top up the list for this “wonderful” place are the prices; extremely good in relation to the food quality, making it very attractive as a regular haunt for us and family, or friends. Our daughter is gluten intolerant and she always finds things she would like and could eat from the extensive GF menu. The Himalayan carrot cake “Halwa” is now 1st choice for all of us. There is a nice little spring flowing along the patio and for the young ones a good size enclosed playground where our 8yo grandson likes to go playing even in cold days. The Irish-coffee and nice beers/wine enjoyed on the comfy sofa reminds me of a quiet café. Breakfast and opening whole day is planned in the near future, and for myself I cannot think of a better place to have a lazy hot-chocolate and cake, in Swindon. I understood there is also a large venue upstairs for bigger bookings and I know that is were my 70th birthday will be celebrated with the extended family, already. The best thing of all the good things mentioned, has to be the ever-present and working host, with his ready smile, intuitive intelligence, happy to accommodate requirements, attention to details (there is a disinfectant dispenser at the entrance that is actually clean, full and working), or in a cold day he noticed I kept the coat on and (brought without being asked), a small heater by the table (that put a smile on my face, made me happy and very toasty). Small things like those, together with his attentiveness make a huge difference to the way one feels when there. For that and all the rest we would sincerely recommend this place to my friends or anyone wanting quality food and service with a smile!

Our second visit since the change of management. Both visits very good This time we stopped to break up our long walk for a snack and a drink. We had three 'himalayan' starters and a side from their interesting and varied menu. We were greeted on arrival and the service was faultless. The dips that came with the paneer, broccoli and samosa dishes were all lovely. Tables and seating all very clean on arrival.

Warm welcome and great, tasty food. Drinks were lovely, but the food was exceptional. Friendly, helpful and polite staff and a lovely atmosphere and ambience great for a special date night with my wife. Why we haven't tried this place sooner is beyond me, but we will definitely returning soon.

Friendly, welcoming staff, and great food. The Himalayan lamb mussala is rapidly becoming one of my favourite dishes, and it is as good as any curry I've had in a restaurant. Dog friendly too. Highly recommended.

Wow, we called in on the off chance they had a free table. Both meals ordered were absolutely amazing. The food was hot, delicious and plentiful. The hosts were friendly and helpful, offering suggestions for food to eat when we asked. The atmosphere was welcoming and comfortable.

made very welcome, we arrived a little early and waited outside. we were spotted and let in out of the cold, First class service throughout our visit, (waitress even took a photo for us) The food was perfect and sensibly priced. Amazing lunchtime pre-Christmas meal with friends. I had the Gurkha Chicken Curry, and my friends had Chicken Chowmein and a Paneer Curry. Amazing. But it was very quiet so I could not really judge the atmosphere.

This is our local pub/restaurant, we live just a 2 minute walk away. We decided to visit on a weekday evening to eat and take advantage of a 20% off food offer for the Diwali celebrations. As usual a very warm welcome from the waiting staff with a very quick drinks order delivery. The menu consists of Himalayan specialty dishes and pub classics. On this occasion we opted for the Himalayan. The starters arrived quickly and arrived as described on the menu. Hot, tasty and plentiful. The staff were very attentive and as soon as starters were done, places were cleared and the mains arrived. The curries we ordered were perfect, just right spices in the main meat dishes, plenty of rice and delightful naan breads. Staff are polite, friendly and once again this visit was a very pleasant experience. Since taking on this venue the owners have gone from strength to strength to improve their business and it’s working. There are currently works going on to open an upstairs function room which will of course help this business to thrive. Well happy and well recommended, Thank You everyone at The Runner, keep up the good work.

Chose to go to the runner for my birthday with family and let them experience the himalayan menu. The soup and beef noodles were outstanding in taste and quality. Calamari bit dry but overall love this place for outstanding service. Thank you Sam and staff.

Went for a Sunday evening meal with my mum, food was really tasty and there was lots to chose from, we opted for the mixed meat starter and the himylanian lamb curry as we wanted to try some different things but don't have big appetites.
