The best restaurants serving British food in Glastonbury St Benedict's Mendip South West

What a discovery! Only found it as I took a wrong turning but how lucky I was. Followed signs for Mamf’s Cafe and had one of the best traditional fry ups I’ve had for a long time. Staff exceptionally friendly and accommodating (I do like my bacon done to death and they knew exactly what I meant). I will return.

There is now a restaurant trading as Cafe Sol at this address. We only went because Rainbow's End next door is shut on Wednesdays, but it's very good! I had halloumi wrap with Greek salad and sweet potato chips aka fries, which were good anyway, but the best thing I had was their home-made elderflower lemonade, which had more body than most elderflower drinks yet was still refreshing. The service is rather on the relaxed side but don't let the put you off!

Fish chunky batter light and crispy chips golden and fluffy

Apart from being one of few establishments in Glastonbury that actually serves meat this is a charming little cafe with wood scrubbed tables and Cornish sayings on the walls. The pasties look great but the jacket potatoes are phenomenal! Especially the chicken tikka, tuna mayo and the cheese and beans! And don't forget the side salad which comes with fourteen different ingredients and tastes absolutely stunning!

Cosy little cafe that does gluten free and vegan for my friend. Can't really fault them at all. Love the staff and little skip the dog

Todos teníamos fish & chips, pero hay otras opciones de cosas para comer. Definitivamente relación calidad-precio y sin duda volveremos de nuevo

Absolutamente almuerzo de primera. Brillante en la gama de deliciosos sándwiches. El café era genial y un gran lugar para ver el mundo pasar en Glastonbury. Definitivamente vale la pena una visita

An excellent value Sunday lunch. Great selection of vegetables and meats with a veggie option. Small plate was plenty and only £12. Staff were really friendly and helpful too. Horace the Alresford Bear enjoyed his meal too - see the photo!
