A lovely traditional cafe in the stunning indoor Market, Redruth. Its just a nice old fashioned cafe with no pretentious airs and graces! Staff are lovely and working very busily when I arrived. I ordered a coffee and a small breakfast with extra tomato. Took a while due to them being very popular. But, when it did it hit the spot, just what I needed to keep me going.

Dropped in for a takeaway on our way back to our campsite. Fish was delicious and the chips were amazing. Never tasted any quite like them before from a chippy, crunchy on the outside and fluffy potato in the middle . Possibly double fried or maybe tossed in seasoning/flour before frying. My mouth is watering just writing about them! Friendly fast service too. Little sit in place at the back if you don't want takeaway and a carpark at the side as well. Would thoroughly recommend Greg & Lou's. All other chippys will be compared to them from now on.

Hadn't had the chance to visit here for a while as we live in Blackwater, and I no longer work in Redruth. I just fancied some fish and chips as they have been brilliant last time I had them. The staff were brilliant, and we had a lovely chat with one of them who recognised our Merseyside accent. On to the food. Well, what can I say?. I had haddock and chips which was AWESOME. Beautifully cooked fish, and the batter was perfect. The chips were delicious as usual. THE best chippy I have been to in Cornwall since I moved here in 2007. FABULOUS ..

Really good service and food and atmosphere, yes at a first glance the price may look a little bit more than you thought it would be but trust me it definitely is worth the money when you see the food and the portion sizes. Definitely recommended if your in Redruth or the area, only pick up if any and I can say this about 90% of places in Cornwall and that's the parking as you have to try and find somewhere on the main road.

My family and i visited here last night and i was very disappointed no gf option despite after googling 'gluten free fish and chips' and Morrish being named as offering this option. This was also supported with reviews of how good this was. Morrish need to make it clear they no longer offer this option to avoid further customers disappointment.

Had a family lunch greeted by Mrs Pascoe. We had the 3 course Sunday lunch menu, food was exquisite, all courses were lovely in flavours, colourful, nice portion sizes, . The roast was perfect I had the chicken tender and juicy, lots of vibrant vegetables. I had my favourite dessert sticky toffee pudding caramel sauce with clotted cream I was not disappointed! Service was superb check on us to make sure everything was ok, didn’t have to wait long for each course. Overall 10/10! 😁

We were asked to book an earlier table due to being busy. We got there and there was only one other table eating. We waited 25 minutes for our food order to be taken, and another 50 minutes for it to actually come out. We were told there were only two pizza bases left, so only two of our table could order pizza (which makes up the majority of their menu!), only for another table behind us to come in later... And order pizzas! They forgot the cheese on one of the burgers. We were told they were unable to add cheese and bacon to another burger (the pulled pork burger) because it was "something from the specials menu". They completely forgot a third burger! It wasn't the fault of the guy serving us, he was great, very amenable, but the service was massively let down by whatever shower of detritus that was going on in the kitchen. The food was expensive and not worth the money. We won't be returning.

I have been to The Oxford many times and it never disappoints. The landlady is very nice and friendly and so are the regulars. Every time I've gone in here I've had a laugh. Everyone seems to talk to each other, even if they don't really know you, which I like. It is decorated nice and toilets are always clean. They have a fire inside which is very cosy in winter. Overall, lovely, warm and friendly pub.
