A lovely traditional cafe in the stunning indoor Market, Redruth. Its just a nice old fashioned cafe with no pretentious airs and graces! Staff are lovely and working very busily when I arrived. I ordered a coffee and a small breakfast with extra tomato. Took a while due to them being very popular. But, when it did it hit the spot, just what I needed to keep me going.

Our friend recommended this place and we were so glad he did. Roast lamb on a Friday, well cooked, very tasty and plenty of it. For another £2 we upgraded to a delicious dessert and a cup of tea. Great Value. There is a different roast each day of the week, plus a different menu for those who prefer something a little less filling. My only complaint was there was no mint sauce offered, yet after I had finished I saw a pot on another table. I mentioned this and was told I had to ask for it. I marked the venue down for this as it should have been offered, but I will know next time.

What a super Cafe, located in the market buildings half way up the Redruth high street. Wanted to stop here for a while just never got the chance as I love these old fashioned Cafes that produce what's always looked like excellent value for money food and drink. Not disappointed, Bacon butty with a fab runny egg and my wife had the Southern fried chicken burger....left us full, left us happy thank you for such a nice experience; love the feeling your Cafe has its like being in one of those heritage train station team rooms, a delight!

Wow! What a great cafe. My family and I were visiting Redruth and were looking for a bite to eat. We came across the Market way cafe and were very impressed by the cooked breakfast we had (not to mention the very reasonable price). The service was great and the staff extremely friendly. We enjoyed it so much we went back on a later date and equally enjoyed the roast dinner we had for lunch. Would highly recommend anyone to visit this cafe if you are ever in the Redruth area!

Wandering around Redruth, Cornwall, last week my wife and I came across what we thought was the Market and decided to have a look. Well it used to be a thriving Market but alas as with many these days the Market area itself was empty. But there was a bonus. To reach it we had to walk through a passage in which there were a few shops, and The Market Way Cafe. We decided to take the weight of our feet and went in for a cup of tea. We had the tea, and also a lovely bowl of freshly made vegetable soup. The owner and staff made us very welcome, and the customer service was very good. So for an off chance visit we found an establishment serving refreshments that was well worth visiting. Try it.

What can I say about this cafe Well to start I would like to say that I've eaten here many times in the past few years and there cooked breakfast was great. But and I mean but the other items on the limited menu should just be removed my husband had the cheese burger chips and opted for beans instead of the salad. The burger had been reheated in the microwave which I have to say looked so dry along with the bap you could have used it to hammer in nails. The chips and beans although decent portion sizes would have had more flavour if they where tesco or sainsburys own brand rejects. Now as for my meal sausage, egg and chips the sausages where so cheap that they probably contained cardboard and old news papers and the looked and tasted like it was created by some mad scientists in a lab and well the chips I've already said about them.So to summarise the staff are very friendly and welcoming but the food leaves much (and I mean much) to be desired. Sorry guys but I won't be eating there again or recommending it to anyone.

Parking right next door in the pay and display car park. The staff are very friendly offering advise of places to visit. The guy serving suggested special offers and we all throughly enjoyed our traditional cooked breakfast. The 2 things I personally liked is that the plates were extremely hot and the tomatoes are tinned plum which are my favourite. Thanks Market Way Cafe, we'll be back!!

This is a good old "greasy spoon" style cafe. With normal, honest people working there and from what I can tell it is a family business so the staff care about the service they give and the food that it served. It is all home made as well as being cheap and cheerful. I don't mean this in a detrimental way, it is good food for a good price. They use "doorstop" bread for their bacon sarnies, which is always going to be a winner with me. I try to eat there at least once a week for a cuppa and sarnie before college and it is always pretty much full, which proves that it is popular with the locals. If you're ever in Redruth and fancy a nice post-hangover fry up, or just a chat over a coffee, then I thoroughly recommend visiting this place

A small cafe in a small shopping arcade with outside seats if required; a most unprepossessing venue in a town which has seen better times. But here you will find proper home-cooked fare at truly astounding prices. Nothing is too much trouble for these people;the menu is comprehensive, the ingredients fresh, all cooked on the premises and the value is unbeleivable. Where else can you get a traditional roast dinner with 5 different vegetables - all perfectly cooked - at £4.75? Or a home-made lasagne and fulsome salad (plus chips, if you want it!) for the same price? Add adessert - apple pie/crumble or rhubarb tart or trifle - that'll be 50p! - have a cup (mug, actually) of coffee - that's included! You might say it's cheap and cheerful - the staff are certainly cheerful - but my verdict is it's just wonderful.

I have walked pasted this cafe many times and seen how busy it is and i finally decided to visited the cafe with my girlfriend, We had to Roast Lamb dinner, two desserts and two drinks all for £10.40. It was lovely food, the staff were friendly and everywhere looked clean. It's proper cosy and i left full which is always a good sign i would highly recommend it. There something for everyone.

What a great place to visit. Good food at a low price, cheerful, friendly staff and believe it or not, a great place to meet old friends and make new. I am single and eat there most days of the week and look forward to the social aspect as well as a good lunch. The cafe is always spotlessly clean and always looks inviting.I would be happy to recommend it to anyone.

my husband and I (no we are not royalty) are regular customers. we have always had a brilliant meal, and served quickly and certainly with smiles. It is a cafe and not a restaurant which is reflected in the price, but then where else can you go for a 2 course meal inc hot drink for just over a fiver.

We visit from Penzance (25 miles away) at least twice a week, its the best cafe in Town, Val, Dennis and their daughter Sarah and her best mate Kerry make you feel so at home, the food is fantastic and the regulars and atmosphere is great. We run a guest house and tell any guests travelling to this area to stop off and have one of Val's roasts of the day or perhaps a fab Omlette, wish they were in Penzance, freshly cooked and always tasty, well done

Just had The Drake and the Mrs Perryman. Both came with plenty of chips, the actual duck dishes were outstanding, really nice. We will be returning to try another dish when we return next year. We were lucky to have crispy skin as well. We spotted the sign for the duck Truck while we were driving to our cottage in Tintagel and decided to give it a go during our stay. We were not disappointed. Top local produce, by the farmer. Keep up the good work, we'll be back
