We stayed for one night meeting friends on the day we arrived. We have stayed before and the food didn't disappoint and the bar was, as usual, friendly and warm.. The owners Lisa and Will and the staff are all so happy and helpful. We went to our room after lunch and it was immaculate and large with a lovely bathroom. Breakfast the next morning was stupendous I couldn't eat it all! As we had had lunch we didn't want a big dinner but our hosts provided us with a gorgeous cheeseboard to take to our room- perfect! Trengilly Wartha is a hidden gem

I have been here several times as the place is beautiful and the food used to very tasty but today the staff were apathetic at best and the service was very slow. We waited over 30 minutes for a cold plate of mezze which consisted of little more than salad leaves and entire spring onions which couldn’t be cut with the knife provided, brown lentils straight out of the tin (no dressing, no taste) some watery dips that were inedible (especially the yoghurt with garlic) and 3 small slices of white bread. At £15 per plate it was an insult to say the least. Will not be going back.

Disappointed/underwhelmed I used to look forwards to a lunch time stop at the beautifully located meudon hotel after a walk around the local coast .Today was the first time we had visited since a change in ownership and I’m sadly disappointed. Had to hunt for service twice ( and yes I do understand that businesses have problems with staffing levels ) the bar area was like the Marie Celeste . The food is my main issue . The hummus and salad sandwich was fresh but it was made using the cheapest , thinnest sliced brown bread that I’ve seen in many a year.I’m really not fussy but if this is what’s served then I’m not impressed. I’m a local customer and I’m now not confident that I would risk bringing my family here for a full meal . Come on , don’t let yourselves down by cutting such noticeable corners.

15 Falmouth Road Runners ran from the Queens Arms this morning, then bundled back in for breakfast afterwards. Gary and the team looked after us splendidly! Cooked breakfasts, veggie breakfast, avo, things on toast and loads of tea & coffee. All served up by friendly and efficient staff, and no time at all. Awesome!

We have previously enjoyed sitting outside of this pub eating their normal menu which was tasty. We decided to go for Sunday lunch there today. We had reserved a window table (as I have dexterity problems, and prefer not to have tables close by, as it can be embarrassing if my Parkinsons is bad.) We were directed to an enclosed table, as (the waitress said) other people had also requested a window seat. This was fair enough, especially as she then said the people sitting in the window would be going soon, and her plan was to move us over when they had gone. When a gentleman came to take our drinks order we told him that we would be moving to another table. He was quite abusive and told us that we would not be moved. I said that the previous lady should not have told us this then. He agreed with this but said "if that's what was said" in a very curt tone. I asked if he was calling me a liar, but he did not respond. To cut a long story short the lady came over to us, and said to ignore the gentleman and moved us to the window seat. The meal arrived, with cold carrots, and no Yorkshire pudding. The whole meal was bland and the slice of pork I had, (which was hidden under the cold carrots), could have been hidden under a pea, it was so small! It was certainly not the way we had planned on spending our Anniversary !
