15 Falmouth Road Runners ran from the Queens Arms this morning, then bundled back in for breakfast afterwards. Gary and the team looked after us splendidly! Cooked breakfasts, veggie breakfast, avo, things on toast and loads of tea & coffee. All served up by friendly and efficient staff, and no time at all. Awesome!

We checked on the opening hours of the pub before setting out on a two mile walk to Constantine on a Saturday. According to the information on the internet, the opening hours were 12 - 11pm and we therefore planned to have lunch at the pub before walking home. When we arrived at the Queens Arms there was a notice in the window stating that it would be open from 4pm onwards on Friday, Saturday and Sunday only. As there is nowhere else to eat in Constantine this was a great disappointment and we ended up eating a sandwich on a bench. It would be greatly appreciated if the information published on the web coud be kept up-to-date.

We visited this pub whilst on holiday in Constantine in a party of four and our four Cocker spaniels. The pub had only just opened however the landlord was extremely welcoming and you could see the Passion in him to get this place up and running. We wish him well for the future and if we are ever in the area again we would definitely drop in for a drink, and the locals were extremely friendly and also made us feel very welcome at their village pub.

I have no complaints about the food, but the staff is terrible. The food is nothing special, but it is what you can expect from pub food. I guess the raving positive reviews are all just friends and family to the pub owners. I would pay more attention to the negative reviews as I can testify that they are closer to the truth. We are not from the UK but we live in the village and it became very clear this pub does not welcome foreigners. Its OK to have personal views on brexit, but best not to be extremely rude to foreigners re your brexit views when running a pub business! We were almost literally told that we were not welcome. Luckily Constantine is a lovely village with lovely people around and there's another pub just outside the village called the Trengilly Wartha Inn. We felt very welcome in there and possibly because of that the food tastes significantly better. Furthermore, there are few other briljant places for lunch. The potagier garden and the Waymarker, both excellent places for high quality food and service. If you want a nice pub experience avoid queens arms and go to trengilly.

We were looking for a cafe / pub for a quick bite and ended up here via tripadvisor. When I entered this dirty cave, the alarm bells went off. It smelled and everything stuck. As far as I'm concerned, the lady behind the bar can also follow a course in dealing with customers because she was anything but friendly. I'm seriously glad we didn't eat anything there.

I always enjoy going to Queens Arms and have been so, while on holiday, for around 20 years. It's a friendly pub with plenty of seating inside and out. On this particular visit I had lunch. The food is very good and there is a good choice of beers. It's one of my favourite pubs in any county.

If you fancy a no nonsense Sunday lunch, try The Queens Arms. It is a basic village pub, nothing fancy but we were given a nice welcome, we had a laugh with the other customers and the food was great. The roast lamb was tender and plentiful and the vegetables cooked to perfection. What’s not to like.

Reading the recent negative comments below we still decided to venture out for a meal at the Queens Arms in Constantine. No sign of an iPad and the service and reception from both the locals and the bar lady was more than welcoming. Our children were happy and entertained by a wonderful assortment of toys available in an adjoining room leading to an outside area. We were a party of six and we all ordered different dishes, all of the food was delivered to the table beautifully presented and piping hot. The prices were very reasonable and the portions generous. The food was honestly some of the best I have ever eaten in a pub. It was fresh and perfectly homemade which these days is hard to find. The hand cut chips were second to none and we all thoroughly enjoyed our delicious meals. My husband and I are both CAMRA members and thoroughly enjoyed a well kept pint of Poldark brewed by Tintagel, my cousin also with us is more of a vodka drinker and was pleased to see premium Smirnoff rather than a cheaper option. I would not hesitate to return and recommend The Queens Arms at Constantine we will be going back when we are next passing through the area. Well worth a visit a lovely traditional unspoilt pub that deserves all the support it can get as to be honest there are not enough of these places left.

Decided to call in while driving through the area, nice looking pub from the outside! However inside very dated and to be honest is calling out for a coat of paint and a good clean. Having visited family in Constantine for more than 20 years, we had never visited the Queens Arms. However, on a recent visit, we noticed that they were providing Take Away Fish and Chips. At £5.45 for fish and chips we felt this was good value.Ordering at the bar, I had to wait a while, thus it was obviously freshly cooked.Requests for F&C were plentiful, with both takeaways and eat-ins.Well worth the money, and a goodly portion.

With my husband and daughter we were passing through Constantine just after 1:30pm Spotting The Queens Arms, we decided to stop for a coffee. The pub seemed nice enough so we ordered some hot drinks and a juice for my daughter. We took a seat and noticed a dart board so decided to have a a couple of games. After about 20 minutes we moved back towards the bar. As my daughter wanted to check out the playroom. Taking a seat we spotted a few table games. We picked up connect four and thought we could have a quick game, whilst we drank our drinks. With this a lady behind the bar says quite abruptly "we aren't open all afternoon, you know?" My husband apologised and asked way time they closed. I felt the way we were spoken to was very rude. We had only been in the pub for a short time and were drinking our drinks. We put the game back and left without finishing our drinks. Maybe some open hours signs or if we were made aware of the impending closure when ordering our drinks wouldve been useful!Maybe even a friendlier "not sure, if your aware but we close at 2pm today" and we would have left happy! This is the first bad review I have ever left, but felt truly unwelcome and appalled in the way we were spoken to.

I have always heard mix reviews about this pub, but from my own experience I do not believe it is worth the travel. It is situated in Constantine, a little village between Helston and Penryn. The pub does have a homely atmosphere and the food you can't really knock to much, but what ruins it all is the staff. I only sore one member of staff and the chef during my short time. The barmaid did not appear hygienic and was always on her phone, which was very rude and ignorant. The chef also appeared scruffy and not very professional. The barmaid had her kids with her and they was very uncontrolled. Made you feel a little uneasy and unsure what to say, incase of over heard. I would not recommend this place, or be in rush to come back.

This does not distract from the quality. We ate here two nights in a row. Having not been here in over a year we thought we would have an evening out as we had always enjoyed the food and atmosphere, sadly we were disappointed and did not end up staying for food. Firstly on entering we could not smell and food smells only a damp musty smell. We ordered drinks and were shocked at the price, over £10 for a shandy and half a glass of lime and soda. On being seated upstairs it felt chilly, the table was grubby and the light feature on the table did not work. Awful pop music playing in the background was being drowned out by the bellowing voice of the chef downstairs in the kitchen, we could hear most of what he was saying including the 'F' words. After sitting for 10 mins we realised that the dish I would be ordering (slow cooked pork belly)was obviously not cooking so would most probably have been microwaved along with the dauphinoise potatoes, and the noise of the chef and music we decided to leave and eat elsewhere. Such a shame that this once lovely restaurant lacked atmosphere, fresh cooked food and respect for customers from the chef!
