Great views, relaxing atmosphere and nice food and drinks. My friend had a hot chocolate whilst me and my other friend had soup, it was really nice. We also tried the home made onion rings which I would recommend!

The views are good and this hotel/restaurant has to rely on this as unfortunately the food is terrible. I've just seen that people have been leaving these bad reviews for years but nothing it appears changes. Their customer base is mainly one time only visitors from around the world, so no incentive to up standards, shame really. Also we were hit by a parking fee of £100, even though we had a blue badge. There were no signs, sneaky but normal for this type of business, customers treated as a money tree. One of our party and myself suffered terrible stomach pains and nausea during the night after our meal. We are actually locals and were warned by other locals, but we thought we would try it.

Lovely restaurant at the end of the country. Fantastic views, even when the weather is crap. Hilarious bar man who didn’t know what the items on the menu was, but to give him his credit he immediately went to ask the chef, who apparently also gave him crap for asking stupid questions :) Made my day. Edit - how anyone can claim the average spend per person is £10-20 is clearly high. There isn’t a dish on the menu under £18 and unless you are drinking tap water it pushes the spend over £20 minimum. God forbid having a starter and a pudding. For 3 people (only 2 drinking) the bill was £93 and that was for 3 mains and 6 drinks (two of which were Diet Coke).

Outrageous prices . Good points . View spectacular , big vegan / vegetarian menu that was impressive. Thai crispy tofu curry delicious but could not finish as there was so much sauce and a tiny ramekin of rice! Reception staff welcoming albeit dressed a bit too casual in shorts but very friendly. Observations . Staff in bar seem to be absent of a leader . Staff looked somewhat disheveled and windswept versus crisp and clean especially as they are serving food. Too many tables were dirty and not wiped clean and when the waitress was asked she banged and shoved the chairs in for the next 5 tables she cleaned ! Customer service training needed . .

Fantastic experience. Headed to the lands end restaurant today after coming in June of this year and having the most amazing chicken burger. Upon arrival noticed the burger wasn’t on the menu (they rotate the menu) so I asked at the bar and one of the chefs said he would be happy to make it. It’s honestly made my holiday. The chicken burger is to die for and my family had other food such as the fish and the beef burger and they were impressed too. Would definitely recommend. Staff were all lovely and chefs went above and beyond making our experience just brilliant!

It is the only place to dine if you stay at the hotel. It's your restaurant. Very friendly service, but the food... Mussels, good, from the area, but sauce with a lot of cream that covered up the flavor of the mussel. And then we ordered two fish and when we separated the meat, it smelled stale. We told the waitress, she took it to the kitchen who accepted the change of plate. Two sandwiches to forget. However, breakfast the next day was very good and varied. Excellent. Don't order fish. Burgers or pork. The place and having dinner watching the sunset is the payment for a very bad dinner, but what a beautiful place!

Wasn't planning to eat here because it's quite pricey, but every other eating place at Land's End was closed, even though there were still dozens of people around. The haddock and chips was very good, the nduja prawns tasted lovely and the IPA was cold and refreshing. The only downside was the prawns weren't deveined, so we deveined and clean them ourselves. The kitchen's patronising response was that they came from Newlyn, not the supermarket. OK, but that doesn't mean you can't devein them before you cook them. Also, correctly, they pointed out that the prawns were still safe to eat. True, but not so pleasant and, at that price, not acceptable.

This is an extremely worst restaurant ever in my lifetime. The food was terrible and the service was horrible. It took 45mins to get my food which was wasting my time of visiting from the other place. The food was cold and feel like all canned food, it was so disgusting and overpriced of food, it’s not worth it at all, it just because this is a tourist attraction, this is even a hotel’s restaurant, the standard of food and service need to be improved and changed a lots, really not recommended for tourists to have your meal over there.

Whilst the spot is beautiful, the food was really poor. A BLT sandwich with low quality white bread and one slice of bacon and a Ceaser Salad wedge with very tired lettuce and virtually no other ingredients, only saving grace was the grilled halloumi that I paid extra for. Some of the best battered fish I’ve ever had! Chips could’ve done with being the classic “chip shop chips” but were just normal fries, but lovely nonetheless! Seasoned nicely & crispy. The only thing I’d say is, the waiters were hardly present! I had to go up to the bar a few times to request sauce etc, the barman served up our dinner and sort of rushed off without asking if there’s anything else we’d like (to which I’d of said yes sauces lol) you sort of feel like you’re fending for yourself a bit in there but overall, the quality of food is beautiful! I ended up here after the Cornish Pantry were not serving Breakfast and the cafe was closed!. What is wrong with these places?. WELL NOTHING WRONG HERE. I was not a guest but after a 5 hour drive they let me eat here and have their buffet breakfast. Don't even remember what it cost but worth every penny. Good quality ingredients and all well cooked. But anyone knows that you judge a breakfast on its scrambled egg. So many places give you this block of yellowy goo but not here. My compliments to the chef. There was pride in this because it had been done properly. I also have to mention the lovely young lady who let me eat here and to top it off after my long journey she called me "MY LOVELY". Disclaimer this review is more aimed at the money grabbing elements of lands end. We ate at the restaurant on the 4th august, the food itself was fantastic and worthy in itself if a 5* review. We always have our last meal at the restaurant at the end of our holiday which has been a 10 Year tradition, however this will be our last ! Not because of the food or the service as both were fantastic. The issue is parking £7 to park just to come for a meal is extortion !! I have no issues with paying in the day but when coming to the restaurant for a meal this is simply extortion and greed. Unfortunately this will be our last meal here a real shame and in my view really short sighted.

Given opening times of places to eat in Cornwall are so variable, you can be forgiven if after visiting the beautiful iconic location that is Lands End, to just grab food here. My advice would be not to - we made this mistake and had poor quality soggy food reminiscent to a 90s school canteen. But this does not matter to them as limited people will ever be back. My advice, go anywhere else, there are plenty of nice cafes in the coves just a short distance away. Even the overpriced portions of ice cream are stingey in their kiosk! Laughable if it wasn’t so tragic and an embarrassment to Cornwall.

COVID-19 CONCERNSIf you have any desire to stop the spread of COVID-19 you might wish to give this place a miss. Once you have collected your food from the self service counter you are left to find your own table. No table service and no guarantee that your table has actually been cleaned. We saw several families change tables after sitting at and contaminating their original table. We saw people sitting down at uncleared tables so they obviously didn’t care. It was self service at the coffee machine which was push button. There was no sanitisation of the machine between users. There was no hand sanitiser other than a single bottle at the till. Overall very bad COVID management.

And shrivelled and most of it was thrown on plate and fallen onto tray. Inedible. The worst however was watching a staff member put her whole hand into a “clean” mug to wipe it round inside and then place it on the trays to be used. Needless to say we had a cold drink! Great potential, amazing views ruined by poor, atrocious service - flippant attitude of staff. Hotel restaurant diners may have a better experience.

We stopped here for a coffee before starting a walk and were very disappointed. It felt like a run-down motorway services. The coffee was £2.50 and we were expected to serve ourselves from a. machine. The place was crowded and social distancing was non existent. There were marks on the floor but no-one was observing them and there was no attempt to enforce it.The table was piled with plates of left over food from the previous customer. The table was dirty. At no pointy did anyone come to clear or sanitise the table. The coffee was not good.We were glad to get out.

Came to stay at the hotel for a few days. Arrived yesterday and had pre drinks and dinner. Looked after superpbly by Issabella. She could not have been more attentive and is a real assett to the restaurant and the hospitality industry as a whole when others maybe lack the basics. Great food, great service and standards, perfect all round.

Had a lovely meal after making a last minute booking. Staff very attentive and the steaks were amazing. The lady who was clearly in charge was lovely. She recommended the wine which was fabulous and could not do enough for us. Would highly recommend especially with the fabulous sunsets and views.

We stopped for lunch whilst out walking. We sat outside and had a marvellous view. The staff were welcoming and the tables were appropriately spaced with all Covid precautions in place. There was a good choice of food on the menu and our meal was perfectly cooked. We would return and we would recommend the Lands End Hotel.

You are obviously paying a premium for the view. But we found the food was very good although we did stick to the staples of fish and chips and burger and chips. We got chatting to the table next to us who had sandwiches which they thought were excellent. The service we received was also great.

I can’t begin to describe the experience of having dinner and breakfast here. The ambiance is fairly cold, looking exactly like a school cafeteria with bleak plastic tables (absolutely nothing on it) and wooden school chairs. Quite a pity as the view is so stunning. The menu is small. The drinks and aperitifs arrived AFTER the appetizers, which for me kills the experience right there. When we asked about the drinks, the waitress was slightly annoyed and said somewhat sharply, “yes, I know, they’re coming!”, as if it’s perfectly normal to serve the opening cocktails after the food. The food was hands down the worst food I’ve ever had anywhere. The tagliatelle were completely bland, just boiled pasta without seasoning, swimming in a surprisingly deep bath of olive oil. I asked for pepper, salt and parmesan to make it edible, but left more than half. The lamp chops were mutton that was sloppy and far from being grilled, it felt as if they had been boiled. We left most of it. Our friends’ dishes were all incredibly bland and tasteless as well. The wine arrived after we were finished with dinner. We skipped dessert. Breakfast the next morning was a surreal experience that catapulted me right back to my upbringing in a communist country, which, after the initial irritation, actually made me giggle throughout. A bossy and fairly scary waitress - the kind that makes you be extra friendly so not to annoy her more – took orders in certain increments. First the coffee and tea order (then wait until it arrived), after that, the juice and milk order. Once that was on the table, she asked would you like croissants or pastries? My children opted for those and I asked for toast instead. I was told “You can’t order toast now. There is an order to how we do things here. You have to order toast later with your main breakfast.” Uhm, ok. So we patiently waited until the pastries and croissants were served and eaten before moving on to the next incremental stage of the breakfast order. I was eventually allowed to order toast along with eggs and English breakfast for the other parties. The wait of 45 minutes after the pastries were finished was absolutely extraordinary for a less than half filled restaurant. You would think that pretty much all ingredients for an English breakfast would be prepared in the kitchen, so they would only have to throw the eggs and bacon in for a few minutes. The tea cups were served without spoons, the coffee/tea was served without sugar. The “soft boiled” eggs were bone hard, all 4 of them on both days, and the English breakfast was cold and below average. One day it came with a sausage and the other day without. My order was forgotten. And what’s up with this bizarre Cornwall practice of cutting out the fried eggs to small circles around the egg yolk? They appear more vertical than horizontal. Why can’t we have the whole egg including all the egg white? All eggs I’ve had here were spectacularly small, basically no more than one bite. There was some sort of mini buffett with pre-cut fruit, yoghurt and cornflakes, but by the time we rolled in after 9 am, it was all gone. I was too scared to ask for refills as all waiters' faces shouted "don't talk to me!" ;-) Overall, the restaurant staff, even the younger members, moved incredibly slowly, in no hurry at all, exacerbating the extraordinary waiting times, and throughout made the impression that they don't want to be there. I bet the experience of an American breakfast restaurant would probably make them faint. Rooms were good and Lands End itself is of course an incredible experience, but I’d suggest to eat at any of the food stalls outside. The ice cream and the donuts at those stalls are amazing.

A limited menu. Asked for a pint of lime and soda and a pint of blackcurrant and soda. The waiter said they didn't have soda, but suggested lemonade instead, which we accepted. When we had finished our bland food and got the bill, we found that the charge for each drink was £3.25 for the lemonade and £1.85 for the shot of cordial!!! We stayed at a different P Inn as part of the same holiday and paid £1.20 for a pint of lime and soda. How can there be such a huge discrepancy for the same drinks with the same company.???When we queried the price the barman laughed!! What a rip off! Avoid at all costs

we arrived 6:30 and there was 12 of us pre-booked for their festive menu booked for 7pm and we didn't get any food until 1 hour later and food quality was awful and they kept getting the menu wrong and missed someone completely so they had to wait. me and another were waiting for a side of pigs in blankets each which came after everyone had finished our meals and when they finally arrived they weren't worth the wait. £2.49 for just 3 undercooked sausages with hardly any bacon on them after my meal. other meals were undercooked as well. there was a hair in my meal and they were not even busy and the customer service from the women with glasses wasn't great and the staff were rude and at the end they kept overcharging everyone. there is poor hygiene in the kitchen from what I saw as well. wearing hoodies and no hairnets. its obvious why this place wasn't fully booked for the Christmas menus. if your reading this do yourself a favour go Wetherspoons instead.
