Great spot, we found the food to be a lot better than the typical reviews given here, and better than most of the pub food we've had around. It is not cheap but worth it.

Great place to eat, although because you have to pay at the bar and then go back to your seat, it is a long wait. I think an app style ordering service would help both customers and staff alike. It certainly isn't cheap, so a more efficient service would go a long way. The staff would be less flustered.

Stopped in here for lunch as part of our day trip to Lands End in June 2024. Quite a nice modern fitout with a few different seating areas. Our food took ages as we later found out our order had somehow got lost, but once aware the staff were quick to resolve and we enjoyed our meals. The food was tasty and was nice in the pub out of the slightly windy headland.

Some of the best battered fish I’ve ever had! Chips could’ve done with being the classic “chip shop chips” but were just normal fries, but lovely nonetheless! Seasoned nicely & crispy. The only thing I’d say is, the waiters were hardly present! I had to go up to the bar a few times to request sauce etc, the barman served up our dinner and sort of rushed off without asking if there’s anything else we’d like (to which I’d of said yes sauces lol) you sort of feel like you’re fending for yourself a bit in there but overall, the quality of food is beautiful! With an absolutely stunning view of course.

very beautiful and cozy restaurant, but I was disappointed by several things such as dirty windows, a long wait for my order, and I also found plastic inside the soup of the day, this is unacceptable The price tag is above average and does not justify the quality you pay for for two soups of the day and a sandwich we paid £37 I give two stars for the interior and the beautiful view from the window, the rest was described above, be careful when visiting this establishment

Given they could charge what they want and serve what they want I felt the restaurant was reasonably priced and the food & service sensational. 120 AUD for a quality meal for 2 with wines is pretty good. The pork chop and the sole were as good as anywhere you could order these and the breakfast the next morning as good as anywhere I stay ….. so thank you and thanks for being fair and impressive.

I absolutely adore Lands end and the views. The restauraunt is nicely set out, but the food isnt that enjoyable, it may be because im a big picky eater, or that it wasnt nice at all, either way, the views are gorgeous from inside the restauraunt and the staff are quite nice too, improvements, maybe add more options for kids on the menus and more drinks, also more bigger seated tables. Thankyou!

Came here for a quick lunch after walking around for a bit. The food isn't too crazy, but the portion size of the chicken wings were astonishing for what's considered a smaller plate. The cheesy garlic bread was delicious and the hot chocolate with coconut rum was quite warm. The restaurant is fairly accessible and the atmosphere when we were there (around 2pm) was quiet, and not too busy, extremely nice to eat and look out the window at the cliffs edge.

Cannot fault the staff they were very friendly and down to earth which is a must! Only downside was the bar menu - The mains consisted of 4 burgers that's all with extortionate prices £17.50+ for a halloumi burger and a tiny bit of chips.. Same goes for the restaurant menu's, there's absolutely NO CHOICE so boring don't waste your money. The cream tea was the highlight of the afternoon.

I ended up here after the Cornish Pantry were not serving Breakfast and the cafe was closed!. What is wrong with these places?. WELL NOTHING WRONG HERE. I was not a guest but after a 5 hour drive they let me eat here and have their buffet breakfast. Don't even remember what it cost but worth every penny. Good quality ingredients and all well cooked. But anyone knows that you judge a breakfast on its scrambled egg. So many places give you this block of yellowy goo but not here. My compliments to the chef. There was pride in this because it had been done properly. I also have to mention the lovely young lady who let me eat here and to top it off after my long journey she called me "MY LOVELY". You made my day.

£7 for parking to start. £20 fish and chips. A ploughman's lunch that a hard-working ploughman would reject. Seemingly, there were to be some fireworks some 8 hours after we had finished. Therefore, we were given this food in disposable cutlery and plates. Over £100 spent on this rubbish is not value for money. AVOID.

Disclaimer this review is more aimed at the money grabbing elements of lands end. We ate at the restaurant on the 4th august, the food itself was fantastic and worthy in itself if a 5* review. We always have our last meal at the restaurant at the end of our holiday which has been a 10 Year tradition, however this will be our last ! Not because of the food or the service as both were fantastic. The issue is parking £7 to park just to come for a meal is extortion !! I have no issues with paying in the day but when coming to the restaurant for a meal this is simply extortion and greed. Unfortunately this will be our last meal here a real shame and in my view really short sighted.

Given opening times of places to eat in Cornwall are so variable, you can be forgiven if after visiting the beautiful iconic location that is Lands End, to just grab food here. My advice would be not to - we made this mistake and had poor quality soggy food reminiscent to a 90s school canteen. But this does not matter to them as limited people will ever be back. My advice, go anywhere else, there are plenty of nice cafes in the coves just a short distance away. Even the overpriced portions of ice cream are stingey in their kiosk! Laughable if it wasn’t so tragic and an embarrassment to Cornwall.

COVID-19 CONCERNSIf you have any desire to stop the spread of COVID-19 you might wish to give this place a miss. Once you have collected your food from the self service counter you are left to find your own table. No table service and no guarantee that your table has actually been cleaned. We saw several families change tables after sitting at and contaminating their original table. We saw people sitting down at uncleared tables so they obviously didn’t care. It was self service at the coffee machine which was push button. There was no sanitisation of the machine between users. There was no hand sanitiser other than a single bottle at the till. Overall very bad COVID management.

Enter at your peril: 27 September a gorgeous day bar the lunch experience. It was not busy but no welcome by staff to give instructions in these pandemic times - we had to seek out someone. Then waited about 3-4 minutes for someone to serve lunch cafeteria style. Then another 3-4 minutes to wait for same person to come to till so we could pay. Salad was dry. And shrivelled and most of it was thrown on plate and fallen onto tray. Inedible. The worst however was watching a staff member put her whole hand into a “clean” mug to wipe it round inside and then place it on the trays to be used. Needless to say we had a cold drink! Great potential, amazing views ruined by poor, atrocious service - flippant attitude of staff. Hotel restaurant diners may have a better experience.

I can’t begin to describe the experience of having dinner and breakfast here. The ambiance is fairly cold, looking exactly like a school cafeteria with bleak plastic tables (absolutely nothing on it) and wooden school chairs. Quite a pity as the view is so stunning. The menu is small. The drinks and aperitifs arrived AFTER the appetizers, which for me kills the experience right there. When we asked about the drinks, the waitress was slightly annoyed and said somewhat sharply, “yes, I know, they’re coming!”, as if it’s perfectly normal to serve the opening cocktails after the food. The food was hands down the worst food I’ve ever had anywhere. The tagliatelle were completely bland, just boiled pasta without seasoning, swimming in a surprisingly deep bath of olive oil. I asked for pepper, salt and parmesan to make it edible, but left more than half. The lamp chops were mutton that was sloppy and far from being grilled, it felt as if they had been boiled. We left most of it. Our friends’ dishes were all incredibly bland and tasteless as well. The wine arrived after we were finished with dinner. We skipped dessert. Breakfast the next morning was a surreal experience that catapulted me right back to my upbringing in a communist country, which, after the initial irritation, actually made me giggle throughout. A bossy and fairly scary waitress - the kind that makes you be extra friendly so not to annoy her more – took orders in certain increments. First the coffee and tea order (then wait until it arrived), after that, the juice and milk order. Once that was on the table, she asked would you like croissants or pastries? My children opted for those and I asked for toast instead. I was told “You can’t order toast now. There is an order to how we do things here. You have to order toast later with your main breakfast.” Uhm, ok. So we patiently waited until the pastries and croissants were served and eaten before moving on to the next incremental stage of the breakfast order. I was eventually allowed to order toast along with eggs and English breakfast for the other parties. The wait of 45 minutes after the pastries were finished was absolutely extraordinary for a less than half filled restaurant. You would think that pretty much all ingredients for an English breakfast would be prepared in the kitchen, so they would only have to throw the eggs and bacon in for a few minutes. The tea cups were served without spoons, the coffee/tea was served without sugar. The “soft boiled” eggs were bone hard, all 4 of them on both days, and the English breakfast was cold and below average. One day it came with a sausage and the other day without. My order was forgotten. And what’s up with this bizarre Cornwall practice of cutting out the fried eggs to small circles around the egg yolk? They appear more vertical than horizontal. Why can’t we have the whole egg including all the egg white? All eggs I’ve had here were spectacularly small, basically no more than one bite. There was some sort of mini buffett with pre-cut fruit, yoghurt and cornflakes, but by the time we rolled in after 9 am, it was all gone. I was too scared to ask for refills as all waiters' faces shouted "don't talk to me!" ;-) Overall, the restaurant staff, even the younger members, moved incredibly slowly, in no hurry at all, exacerbating the extraordinary waiting times, and throughout made the impression that they don't want to be there. I bet the experience of an American breakfast restaurant would probably make them faint. Rooms were good and Lands End itself is of course an incredible experience, but I’d suggest to eat at any of the food stalls outside. The ice cream and the donuts at those stalls are amazing.

Stayed at the hotel for three nights and ate in the restaurant each night. During COVID the menu isn't as large as previously but obviously its limited. One evening had the caesar salad off the bar menu and it was really tasty & filling. Portions are large enough for most appetites and cost wise, whilst higher than I would pay in most pubs, they are average for a hotel but you really are paying for the view. Come sunset, you are treated to some of the best in the country.

Attempted to book before arrival. Took two days to respond with a generic ‘walk up to the bar and order’ response. Arrived at the supposed opening time only to find they weren’t open and didn’t open for a further 20 minutes. Tried to enter the indoor seating and was told it was outdoor only. So no possible chance of simply walking up to the bar as suggested. The indoor seating was more than sufficiently spaced to allow proper socially distanced seating. Simply no excuse to be forced to eat outdoors in the howling cold wind. We chose to eat elsewhere at lands end and indoors! I’m a long term loyal customer of this restaurant but no more! No response to any of my emails following the failed eating experience. Will not visit again.

We booked in during the August eating out incentive.Views are excellent. But windows needed a clean!Prices are extortionate. £18 for fish and chips left me speechless. For that price you'd expect something truly exceptional, fresh, homemade and providing a unique twist but the reality was a smattering of chips cooked from frozen (even though triple cooked chips were mentioned in another dish there is NO WAY these were homemade!) Peas similarly so and a tartare sauce straight from a tub of mass produced mediocrity. The fish looked substantial but the reality was a whole lot of batter, a fair bit of grease and not a lot of actual fish. If it hadn't been for the discount of the August eat out scheme I would have been utterly appalled as opposed to disappointed. Eighteen pounds for a meal that would (and does) cost less than eight in many perfectly average pubs across the country yet purporting to be far more than it was.The decor was not in keeping with the view - think bench seating and wipe clean plastic covered tables, literally no character or warmth. The staff were polite and helpful but all bore that look of knowing they have to deliver a fundamentally poor product then bear the brunt of the customer's disappointment.I've given two stars due to the fact I didn't have to pay £36 for two plates of shockingly bad fish and chips. Had I been obliged to pay full price this would be a one star review. Do not bother.

A view to die for, the new manager of the restaurant, Jo was to keen to get any input on the service and standard of the restaurant aiming to provide an outstanding experience.

Amazing views service was slow very busy a little over priced for us as a family of 5. toilets could do with a once over.

Got a seat in here as the rain came down on a visit to Land's End. Staff were very nice and helpful, food was fine and we were served quickly and food came quick.Only downside is that despite openly advertising being part of the "Eat Out to Help Out" scheme, we were initially charged full price for our food. Upon requesting the discount, it was applied though.

We were incredibly excited for our trip to Lands End Restaurant. Upon arrival, however we learnt our booking had been lost even though we had called that morning to confirm. After a wait, we were admitted into the restaurant and were grateful to be given a seat with a view. The food arrived incredibly quickly, almost worryingly so. My girlfriend ordered the tagliatelle and I had the rib eye steak. Whilst the tagliatelle was satisfactory (at best), the rib eye was appalling!! Instead of a rib eye, it appeared I’d been served a sirloin with literally about 5 chips! Items of the dish as listed on the menu were missing and the steak was massively under seasoned and cold in patches, almost as if it had been microwaved. Due to its blandness, I had to ask the waitress for additional salt and pepper. After seasoning generously, the steak finally had some taste. By this time, it was pretty much cold. After this incredibly disappointing experience, we then had to wait 25 minutes for our plates to be cleared while people around us were served and their plates taken. As we both looked disappointed, staff avoided all eye contact and actively walked around our table to avoid taking our plates. After our plates were eventually taken, i for the first time in my life, complained to our new waitress about our food, after our first waitress ignored us for the entire evening. Upon paying the bill and checking other reviews, it became clear that the restaurant had increased their prices during the help to eat out scheme, just to receive the extra cash!!If all I have said so far is not a damning enough indictment of this terrible restaurant, then that surely must take the cake. To be clear, do not waste your money here- go to Lands End during the day and take a walk but don’t pay to eat just for the view. You will be disappointed!

Booked to come and eat here as my partner and I had been last year and had eaten in the restaurant which was lovely and the food was superb. This time I took our adult children after having sang it’s praises. What a mistake. The place looked like a cheap cafe, plain white tables (I understand the need to keep the tables clean due to Covid but honestly) not a tablecloth or a napkin in sight.... the bar and the restaurant are no longer separated. We were sat in an area with small children which I wouldn’t normally mind however we then had an hour and 20 minutes of screaming shrieking running around the tables.... with the parents not caring one jot and the staff doing nothing about it.... horrendous. The staff were all trainees, we were hurried to order then waited. The food started to arrive.... overcooked overpriced scallops.... Tasteless over marinated salmon for starters then we waited and waited and waited .... the menu being basic and small not much choice two basic burgers at £15:00 a bouillabaisse of sorts and what should have been a chicken supreme finally arrived... at this point I was close to tears, awful absolutely awful. The restaurant manager finally came over to ask how our meal was and I told her.... she came back shortly very apologetic stating that they were short staffed in the kitchen and that they had been aware of the family that had caused so much disruption but the adults wouldn’t respond to them (we didn’t see them ask!) she did discount our bill which was not my intention and we didn’t stay for dessert and we are unlikely to ever return... this is such a shame as this place has the potential to be something special with its location.... would not recommend visiting for food save your money and go elsewhere. You. An see my previous review last year was completely different.. what a difference a year makes and you can’t blame Covid for this.

Managed to get a table... that’s where the good experience ends. After sitting and deciding what to eat, we were left wondering what happened next. No one came to take an order 15/20 mins after being seated, so I approached the bar to ask, I was abruptly told to sit down, before I was even able to ask the question. A further 10 minutes passed and we managed to ask the young man who showed us to our seats if someone was coming to take our order. Another 5/10 minutes passed and hurray, someone came.. we didn’t have time to eat, goodness knows how long that would’ve taken to arrive. We ended up just having overpriced drinks. No idea why it was all taking so long as it wasn’t too busy... all i can say is, bad management and the old lady behind the bar, needs to learn some manners and customer care!! Let people speak before you snap at them!! We wouldn’t go back or recommend!

No indoor seating available on a rainy day, we were cold and wet and made to eat our overpriced lunch and drinks outside on a very foggy day. How you think £60 is feesable for nachos, scampi, and 2 fish finger sandwiches and 4 cokes is beyond me.Rip off, take a packed lunch!

Same menu every day, food arrived cold and was sent back from several customers while we were there. My husband and I ended up eating our meals separately due to his order coming wrong and mine being cold.Staff need further training in customer service but I doubt that will happen as the Management are just full of excuses with no apologies. No one seems bothered which is such a shame as it could be a very nice restaurant.

This is your typical seaside style cafe and bar but with great views of the lands end outside of the window. We had a cream tea which was £7.95 which was ok but the scones were not the best and small. Otherwise clean and friendly. Easy access for buggies and buggies and plenty of public parking. Plse like if this helped.
