Proper, honest food with big servings! Pet friendly on the bar side. Eclectic decor which adds to its charm. Would definitely return!

The atmosphere was so good and the team who looked after us were delightfully friendly. We had fish which was superb! The wine was top just right and reasonable.

Absolutely exceptional food and service. It was a carefully created experience and the team were wonderfully attentive and thoughtful throughout our time there. Whilst each course was fantastic, the venison, in particular, was remarkable. I couldn't recommend it enough.

Small and cosy, this is a great cafe with a real feel of a local place, catering to the community. They offer simple, fresh food with good-sized portions. My full breakfast was plentiful. They are dog friendly,too. Dexter received a plate of biscuits and a bowl of fresh water just for him . A truly local cafe, where everybody is welcome.

We had another wonderful evening at Sylvan Oak. Despite being fully booked all the staff were attentive and the service was exemplary. Ben was his usual friendly professional self with everyone. Compliments to the chefs for such delicious and beautifully presented food. We will, of course, look forward to returning. Thank you Sylvan Oak!

We visited on the opening day of the new season, and they were having a few technical problems but the lady who was obviously the proprietor was overcoming them smoothly. We had a crab pastie and a mackerel ciabatta. Both were utterly delicious, but small portion sizes for £7.50 and £9.50.

Came here for the first time today and will definitely be back! The toasties were delicious and the service was incredible! Thank you so much to the gentleman who served us today (sorry we didn't catch your name) My son has just turned one and the gentleman catered to his every need and didn't mind the mess we made! He then made sure we got his hat back when we'd left it! You were a star! I hope your head is clear 🙏

Always a treat grabbing lunch here. The staff are charming and the portions generous and tasty. The "Three Little Pigs" bap is a MUST.

Absolutely amazing food , friendly staff especially South African owner . I’ve eaten all over the world and would say this is now in my top 5 places to eat purely for the quality of food . Not even a great fan of Thai food until I ate here , blew my mind ! Quality ingredients and flavours , plentiful portions . We were family of 5 and all of us felt the same . Congrats to the team and we will def be back soon .
