Another lovely meal christmas menu this time, food always good and served hot, service amazing and a friendly atmosphere thankyou

We absolutely LOVE The King’s Arms. Been coming here each week for a drink for the past few months and always made to feel welcome by the staff. We decided to book a family meal for my mum’s 81st birthday after seeing how good the food looked when we were visiting each week. The meal was fantastic. Beautifully presented, very tasty and a menu that is way beyond “pub grub”. The staff were very attentive and friendly throughout our meal and we felt really looked after. Would definitely recommend and my wife and I are planning on coming back for just the two of us.

Another excellent night at the Yew Tree. Great food, great atmosphere and great staff. Definitely worth a visit.

The food was really good but wish it had come out faster! The salad bar was well kept up, and even though it was busy, the food quality was what you’d expect from a Harvester.

Today we were served by Ben & Jordan. Can’t say anything else but thank you. He was attentive, professional and managed many tables without keeping up waiting for food or drinks. All food came hot, we highly recommend the katsu curry, and the drinks were fabulous. We also recommend the strawberry woo woo and gin berry spritz. Atmosphere was lovely, it’s was the chilled relaxed evening we were looking for and as first nights at The Bell go, it won’t be our last. Thank you :)

When I arrived I was greeted very cordially, taken to a table, informed that my waiter would be over shortly and left. So far so good. My waiter appeared with a menu and inquiry as to my drinks order. He returned with my drink and then promptly disappeared. I heard him introduced to other prospective diners as their waiter so it looked like he was the only one. I keep seeing him making drinks at the bar, watched by what it seemed were at least another two barmen who didn't do anything to help. There seemed to be a distinct of urgency when it came to the waiter taking food orders so I drank up, went to the bar to pay for my drink and walked down the road to the Beefeater where I got something to eat.

Staff very friendly and efficient. Food nice and as expected for a hotel grill/bar/restaurant. But seriously the prices? £18.49 for an average burger and chips? These are prices you would expect to pay for a burger at a very nice restaurant not at at a restaurant at The Village. It was no wonder it was almost empty except for a load of people in fancy dress who I guess were off to a Christmas "Do" in your function room.
