The best restaurants serving British food in Sandown South Isle of Wight South East

What a gem by the sea! Excellent views of sea and pier. Great menu, and food tasty, fresh and plentiful. Service with Adam was extremely efficient, friendly and professional. Fresh daffodils on the table, and they are dog friendly!

This is set in a nice location overlooking Sandown seafront and peir. The food was good and the service was also good. Parking can be a little tricky but you should find somewhere on the seafront or in the High Street with a little perseverance. We were here for a music night to see our friends son sing however he had to pull out due to illness and a replacement drafted in. We weren't made aware of this change and stumbled across the altered line up by luck on the morning of our visit but, having contacted the restaurant about the change, we decided to still go along anyway for an evening out although others decided to pull out due to the change when we let them know. This is a good music venue and it's always good to see live music im such venues as it seems to be coming a rarity nowadays.

I arrived late for food, but PHIL offers fantastic hospitality. They give personal touches on your visits (eg changed the music without asking for our taste). Lovely evening! I will be returning tomorrow, thank you so much! Prices are cheaper than other places, affordable for everyone!

Really beautiful coffee shop and a nice stop off whilst in Sandown. Nice decor and a good range of food on offer. Would definitely stop here again

Has never encountered this horrible experience before. Staff where a tinny bit rude and food took way too long to arrive, Fish goujons looked over cooked and gressy and tasted like they been cooked in cheap oil that hasn't been changed in like 2 weeks. Never again.

The best and most affordable food place to dine at for breakfast and lunch. My group visit for breakfast which is filling and delicious, I had the 'make your own' breakfast. Lovely service, cool placemats displaying history of Isle of Wight, perfect for tourists and locals.

Have tried quite a few fish & chips but these are absolutely the best EVERY time! They are great value for money & the portion sizes are generous. Large cod is exactly that, same with the chips. This is now our go-to chippy. Can order & pay online & just select pick-up time.

Popped by for a Hot Drink & Snack after walking the dog on the beach. Very friendly staff, very welcoming and nice hot drinks which were reasonably priced for the size of the mugs. We definitely recommend visiting.
