Came for a scone and a orange juice the glass had lipstick marks around the glass so I asked if it could be replaced and the orange juice was tipped from the dirty glass into a clean on 🤔 no thanks

Me and my partner stayed in Room 4 on 10th July. It's very expensive for what you are getting. The room was absolutely boiling, had to open window wide open, and have a fan on all night and still too hot, so I barely slept. The room is also very dated and needs refurbished for the price. Dinner was nice but long wait and again overpriced for pub food. Breakfast was disappointing, coffee disgusting, bacon dry and tough, cold beans and black pudding tough as old boots.

Charming country house with beautiful grounds and a walkway down to the lakeside. Fabulous fine dining restaurant with some dishes not to be missed. All the staff are extremely helpful and cheery. We did have a small issue which was dealt with by the manager Stacey immediately and without fuss. A lovely couple of days away and we will return.

We booked a table at Paisley's Restaurant by telephone a couple of weeks in advance of our visit and were told the booking was fine. Imagine our surprise then when we arrived at the Crag Manor Hotel to find their restaurant was closed. We were told it had not opened since the Covid lock-down and would not be opening for the foreseeable future. So why was our telephone booking accepted? Paisley’s Restaurant is part of the Crag Manor Hotel. If that’s how they treat their guests, I’m surprised anyone actually stays there!

It’s a sad day when you have to ask the staff to turn round to serve you. The four people in front of me gave up but I wasn’t as subtle as them. I asked are you still open? Good job the ice cream was good as the service was rubbish.

We came here, without a booking, on Easter Saturday night. At first we were quite nervous, as the dining room is quite elegant and refined, with beautiful chairs etc, so we were anxious that although we were clean, we felt that we might be underdressed, after a day touring the Lakes. But it was a lovely, friendly experience, with very nice food, and pleasant attentive staff. A very enjoyable night.

Delicious food and great service - we had a number of dietary requirements (dairy allergy and coeliac) and the team couldn’t do enough for us, checking details with the kitchen and giving us a lovely lunch. They clearly take a lot of care with their food prep - a great local cafe
