The best restaurants serving British food in Eden North West

Beautiful building. Amazing location & the food was so good. We had the Steak pie & fish and chips, which was really nice quality. 100% recommend x

We have been to Center park whinfell four times now but had not dined at the Lakeside inn before so thought we would book and try. The meal was delicious!. Homely food and the ambience was warm and welcoming and family orientated . Our Grandson ordered the burger came with a salad and fries and thoroughly enjoyed he didn't fancy a roast but the adults got the carvery and what a great meal this was plenty of vegetables and pork, beef or chicken with all the trimmings very good value. Just a shout out to the staff they are patient and attentive.well done. We shall be returning soon.

On our arrival at the hotel the staff (Dave) was very friendly and welcoming. The room was ready for us on our arrival. Clean room and well stocked with tea and coffee. Hot shower at the end of a cold day in Yorkshire was well received. We had an evening meal in the bar area beside an open log fire. Food was very nice and good value. Fran was very helpful in dealing with specific dietary requirements. Breakfast was included and was very tasty, just right to set you up for another day on the Yorkshire Moors. The quality of the food on our visit in Feb was outstanding. Between us we ordered soup , scone, lamb hot pot and wild mushroom stroganoff. All dishes were freshly cooked and offered really good value for money compared to a lot of other establishments in the Lakes. It was little wonder the place was packed and we had to wait for a table.

Evenning meal was satisfactory, but breakfast had a reasonable range of hot dishesse no rolls or croissants, t no cold meats or cheebu

Aunque el dueño es muy amable y acogedor, los capuchinos que tuvimos fueron algunos de los más pobres jamás experimentados. Estamos seguros de que el café fue solo de un paquete y se vertió en el agua, no se agitó bien. Faltaba el sabor y había varios bultos "antiestéticos". La sopa era bastante buena, al igual que los pasteles, pero sin duda demasiado cara por la calidad. Un almuerzo bastante caro para 3 de nosotros y, aunque no nos importa pagar por la calidad, lamentablemente esto fue bajo.

Staff were friendly but the food was disappointing. We both had toasties - thin white bread which appeared to have lots of fat on it and the fillings were poor. Coffee poor. Will not return.
