Stopped here for lunch. The waiting staff were really great and very pleasant. The food on the other hand was totally disgusting! The plate was swimming in grease and was totally inedible. We certainly won’t ever attend again, very disappointing!!

After a long journey from our home, this pub was recommended and did not disappoint. Lunch menu was varied, we had beef & ale pie and b&c burger, followed by delicious rhubarb and ginger pudding. The staff were attentive and genuinely friendly, the team worked well together and the setting was clean, quiet and well-organised. The food was delicious, freshly-cooked fluffy chips and wonderful pudding. Reasonable prices and service with a smile, we would definitely return.

New owners, made to feel very welcome, dog friendly, great atmosphere. Food was gorgeous. We walked over from the campsite, 10 mins across the field. We will definitely visit again next time we are there and recommend it to all our friends.

I had such a wonderful experience today at the Blacksmiths! I ordered the fish and chips, and I am still struggling to find the words to describe how flavoursome it was... other than it was truly fin-tastic! Talina provided exceptional service! She was not only friendly but also very engaging. We had a great conversation about hats, which made the meal even more enjoyable. It’s rare to find such a perfect blend of delicious food and warm hospitality. I highly recommend this place, and I will definitely be returning.

What a brilliant cosy country pub!! We booked for a family gathering Sunday lunch and it was the best few hours together in this little gem. Booked online for a party of 15 and Chris was so helpful with his communication , making sure we had a room to ourselves and pre ordering with some dietary requirements. The pub was very busy that day with a large wedding party outside but it did not affect our time there. The room was so cosy with the fire burning and candles on each table. Staff very attentive taking our drinks orders and looking after us so well. Our pre ordered food was served when we were ready and it was all delicious. Great portions and perfect roast beef and turkey dinners with huge Yorkshires! Can only highly recommend this beautiful pub. Great food, beers and friendly staff. A credit to the Robinson’s Brewery.

Been visiting jodrell on and off as a cyclist for the last 5/6 years, from when the modern caterer was responsible for the cafe, sadly that came to and end a while ago and the university took back charge. The food seems to have been going downhill ever since. Todays (Sunday) breakfast offering consisted of sausage or bacon barms. Precooked and left to slowly cool in a pot, not kept warm or reheated, served on an unbuttered barmcake that was left to dry out in a paper bag. The whole thing soon disintegrated because it was dryer than Gandhi’s flip flop. And they have the cheek to charge £5 for it. On the (only) plus side the coffee is still decent. May be better in the week but today was embarrassing compared to how good it used to be.
