Brilliant food and great service. I had the burger, I was undecided what to eat so went with the burger. It was one if not the best burger I’ve had in a long time. I had a side of onion rings which were massive and a side of garlic cheese bread. Both were fantastic. Can’t recommend the pub enough. Me and the wife will be back

Fantastic friendly service from Will and Nicky. Recently moved to the area and wanted to go somewhere special- drove past a few times and it caught our eyes so we thought we would go for dinner. lovely atmosphere, great menu and friendly staff who were happy to do what they could to make our night most enjoyable. The Beef wellington was probably the best I have had, compliments to Chef Qazim for the passion that went into the food. would definately recommend to anyone looking for a cosy night of food drinks and relaxing atmosphere. will be coming again very soon. Decided to pop in to the Davenport on the off chance that they could fit us in - they did! We both had the Sunday Lunch and couldn't fault it. Can't rate the vegetables highly enough - fresh, crisp and very tasty. Could eat a plate on their own!! Nicki and Will are absolutely stars in the hospitality trade - think the young lad needs more training and from listening / watching caused Nicki more hassle than it was worth! We went for our Anniversary last year and would definitely recommend the place. See you soon John and Linda xx

Abby, you gem, Ajay & Qazim, my compliments to the chefs, as a foody couple, we shared 4 starters and had a main each, each dish better than the last, the unsung heros, the food was, SPOT ON... great service from all who interacted with us, Abby making sure we were fully catered for, Ellie making us feel right at home when we arrived and Will checking in on passing, couldn't fault a single thing this evening and we will be back...

Mid week family meal out and want to give a huge thank you to the staff - AJ, Will, Harvey providing excellent service throughout the evening and chef, Merit, the food was superb especially the crispy beef salad! Cannot recommend enough. Thank you Davenport Arms for lovely evening! We will be back soon.

We feel super lucky to have The Davenport on our doorstep in Marton. Visiting at least twice a week, both the food & service are always outstanding. A cut above compared to local competition.

Felt urged to write a review from our experience today, as still in utter shock at the service, disrespect for customers and terrible food. Popped in at 12:30om for a lunch with my family and although many items didn’t seem available, we ordered a few dishes. My daughter’s mac and cheese was barely warm, my mother’s scampi sandwich was coated in a sweet chilli sauce (which wasn’t on the menu), but the most ridiculous and horrible dish was the beef burger my husband had ordered. The chef decided it would be a good idea to cut up pieces of thinly sliced beef (into circles), leftover from the previous days Sunday roast, then a eared and stacked in between the bap and no bacon as advertised. The burger was £18 and was an absolute insult to think he could pass it off as a burger. When my husband asked what the hell it was, she was so dismissive and said ‘there went any burgers, so this was what was offered!’ I wouldn’t have given a dog those bits of meat. So cheeky and consequently won’t be going back.

We visited the Davenport arms with family for Sunday lunch today. Served by Will, we can highly recommend the menu, delicious food and outstanding service. A return visit for sure.

Unfortunately our review echos the review below, fantastic staff and lovely pub but the food was absolutely awful, the Sunday roast was cold and the most bizarre presentation I have ever seen, all piled up in the middle of the plate with the smallest mash portion ever, just really odd for £25, we won’t be visiting again unfortunately the Toby carvery is far better in my opinion. Such a shame as everything else is perfect.

Amazing staff, beautiful pub but food very average and not worth money. Food was only warm and portions were small, Sunday roast was very poor and some of it inedible. Probably wouldn’t go again other than for a drink

The service by Ellie was great and the food made by Katie was very nice. I’ll definitely be back again because the value for money is also good and I’ve always enjoyed my experience each time.

I adore the food and friendly welcoming vibe at the davenport arms it’s mine and my husbands favourite restaurant and go to for excellent food and a lovely experience. I love the scotch egg, chicken Diane and the gammon! My husband loves the brisket and the new sea bass! I often come in on my own for abit of me time and the staff are so friendly especially amazing service from Abby and Ellie. I always leave so happy and enjoy my visit every time!

What a wonderful and relaxing afternoon I just had at the Davenport. I was part of a party of 13 attending a birthday celebration and from start to finish, I could not find a fault. From the young man ( sorry never got his name but was from Newcastle!!) who tended the bar, he was so friendly and efficient with serving and remembering our drink orders. The food was absolutely delicious, piping hot and plentiful with the only fault being too many choices! Last but not least is a special mention to Nikki, our waitress. The poor girl ran rugged around us, serving our food, collecting and serving our drinks and ALWAYS with the biggest smile. Thank you Nikki and the rest of the team, you made a special day, extra special ☺️☺️ can’t wait to return

This place is most amazing and special place to me and my partner. I have been here now four times and it's never been disappointing. I am a burger man, and I can honestly say everywhere I have been, this place is THE ONLY best Grill Burger. I have never had a bad evening here. Tonight we celebrated my 30th birthday and it's been a busy night for them. Service was a little slow but it didn't matter, the customer service which was done by our waiter, Ellie, was brilliant and pleasant. A great laugh, never goes far, but Ellie looked after us, kept us up to date and looked after us completely. Every person on front of house was pleasant and willing to check in on us. The behind the scenes, was great aswell. To also top the service, they even complimented me with a scoop of Happy Birthday ice cream and a sing song to a cake! Our food was fresh, delicious and for me and the burger, still at number one position of my top ten (one being the best). Ellie said our chef was Katie, so Katie thank you making a 30 year old man feel like a boy having a burger for the first time. Not greasy, not too much, but beautifully cooked through and everything making the burger juicy and enjoyment. Thank you Davenport Arms, you never disappoint- even after our fourth visit in the last three years. Don't worry, we will be back again!

My wife & I often come here when we’re in the area. The food is consistently lovely, and they make best Pornstar Martini which just adds to the lovely atmosphere. Our server this evening was Ellie, and just like her colleagues, she was friendly, welcoming, and went above and beyond to make sure our experience was excellent- as usual!

Has a lovely ambiance and most of the interiors are tasteful except for three walls which have a very busy wallpaper. The food was very tasty and hot. The one negative I would say and hopefully it will be actioned were the men’s and women’s toilets. There were corners which had not been cleaned for some time and some of the paintwork looked in need of repainting. On the whole though it was a pleasant experience.

Went for Mothers day and was a great atmosphere and although busy our food was brought out in good time by Ellie, who was our fantastic waitress. Service was very attentive and entertaining while also providing some great recommendations for what to order! Our other Waitress Will was also great and you can tell puts lots of passion towards the Job.
