The best restaurants serving British food in Daneshouse with Stoneyholme Burnley North West

For the past 2 years we have been going here once a month for a girly catch up and to enjoy the excellent foods and be served by lovely staff 5 stars 👍👍👍

Great food, relaxed atmosphere. Lovely during the day or evening. Reasonable prices and our favourite frozen strawberry daiquiri.

We visit the Mechanics for many reasons, it is amazing. The town has this superb venue. The restaurant is perfect for meeting friends for lunch, and in the evening for pre theatre dining. Our town has this facility for us, and it's well used, we are lucky to have it. Thank you

Friendly local cafe with freshly cooked food. I had a large cooked breakfast with a pot of tea. Nicely done fried eggs, 2 sausages, black pudding, baked beans, three rashers of bacon with a good portion of mushroom. The icing on the cake was a portion of fried bread plus toast. I wish more places offered fried bread! Staff were very friendly and you can tell this is a liked local British “caff” as other patrons were welcomed whilst I was eating. Plastic tablecloths were clean and tidy, and my tea pot was topped up with hot water. Don’t expect the ritz, but do expect to be full when you leave. Worth a visit.

During the thirty years I visited, I never had a bad meal. The staff, Kieron and Linda were fantastic. I am so sad I shall not be able to visit there again.

Very nice place & owner until there's a problem & then you're not acknowledged with his normal friendly welcome as Hello Friend!! Gone in since for Takeaway a couple of times & won't even look or acknowledge me However took my takeaway order today & again no communication Gone from brilliant to not great, & today my takeaway is normally full & didn't today fill the bottom of the polystyrene tray There was a mix up a few months ago & who ever right or wrong he doesn't give me the time of day now

It was last minute plan and i came to have dinner with my family but we weren't able to have dinner as there were no Halal food options so we just ordered dessert which was alright!

My daughter brought me here for my Birthday lunch, it was fabulous. We chose to sit on the sofas as we had 3 kids with us, so comfy and relaxed. Lovely food, I had the nasi goreng, and we had sharing plates and tapas. The ambience here is superb, my daughter was only here last night so that's a good recommendation to come twice in one weekend. Thank you, I'll be back.

1st time in this pub and I was blown away. Not only was it super friendly. The range of beers on offer was a great suprise. I even sampled some of the bar snack to help soak up the beer. I can highly recommend the Salt and pepper chicken goujons. I will definitely be returning. Fabulous little find.

What is up with the bar staff at the Boot Burnley. They don't smile , they serve short measure , and they still serve beer what's cloudy ,and when you take it back, you get sarcasm like ie Whats up with it ? . What's with your bar staff Mr Martin ??????? You've got the weatherspoon at todmorden up for sale . Personally l think you should sell the boot . At least the staff at Todmorden smiled ,and served a correct measure. And nothing was a problem . Sell the boot Mr Martin or staff it with polite barstaff what can do the job without spitting there dummies
