First time dining there and thoroughly loved it. Professional service,superb food,great atmosphere,kind welcoming staff. WILL be going again.

Accidentally stumbled upon this little gem whilst out shopping with my eldest on a rare baby-free day. Thought it was just a café, but we noticed the menu by the door... And then we saw a gent eating a huge bowl of spaghetti - so that drew our attention! There were only a few tables, and the last free one was reserved, but the lovely young lady (who had quickly come to greet us) took us through to the back where there was only one other table occupied. It felt like we were in an Italian Nonna's kitchen. The decor was dated, but it felt purposeful - so homely! The table was spotlessly clean, and (as a mother of a baby, too) I noticed that the high chairs stacked to the side were immaculate - always a bugbear! Menus were immediately brought, and drinks orders swiftly taken. We had caramel and amaretto iced coffees - both were excellent! It took us a while to choose our food as everything sounded delicious. We stayed 'safe' with our choices: a margherita pizza, puttanesca (with added mushrooms), and fries to share. W.O.W. Quite simply, the best pizza myself or my teen have ever eaten, incredible service from every staff member, and we cannot wait to come back and bring the rest of the family.

It is a very cosy place to be in and the food was perfect, the best Italian food which I had.

Brilliant place, loved it! I have Coealic disease and my partner and I were very impressed with the staff’s knowledge and range of food I could eat. My partner is a very fussy eater and he loved 🥰 his pizzas said they were the best he’d ever had. My pasta dish was delicious 😋 and also the best I’ve had. The owner and all the staff were lovely and very attentive. Lovely place looks very tiny from outside but bigger inside. Too full for dessert but that looked delicious too. Top marks will definitely be coming back. Half an hour drive from where we live so very good

A gem amongst the town centre. Fabulous Italian food made with authentic Italian ingredients sourced direct from Italy. Went for a birthday lunch today, mains were amazing, desserts outstanding. Service was good, the owner who served us explained how they made each dish. This bistro has won so many awards. It’s certainly worth a visit. Highly recommended.

Had to nip into town and grabbed some lunch again at this very great place Had an Italian panini fries and salad …just the job 🥳 flavours are immense and there fries are really tasty Always great value for money service with a smile and another visit planned when in the area again 5⭐️

Wonderful food, freshly made with quality ingredients. Much of the food is available gluten free which is fabulous for me. My mum who is REALLY picky gives this place 5 stars. Amazing little cafe, not much to look at but soooooo worth a visit. Cake and puddings to die for and have won awards for. Really good menu wonderful people and good value with some decent offers if you pay cash. Highly recommended!!!! Xxx

This is the only place to have lunch in Burnley. We don’t visit very often but always choose to eat here when we do. The food is spectacular, cooked by someone who actually knows how to cook and obviously has a love of great food. You won’t get any better in an Italian restaurant and also very reasonable. We had 3 coffees and 3 absolutely delicious main dishes for just over £40. Would definitely recommend and will certainly be back.

A chance find and lovely food!. I'm very picky (as a veggie) but the ravioli was delicious. I could have order the same again!. Very good service from Lynn. As I said upon arrival "this is our first and probably our last meal in Burnley" but it was FAB.

The Ravioli was fantastic.Real fresh ingredients, as much finesse on the dish as any 5* restaurant. Home made desserts/cakes and lovely coffee. Well this bistro was recommended by a friend and what a fantastic experience we had. From the very friendly staff to the absolutely fantastic food we will certainly be returning very soon. Everything was brilliant the garlic bread, the pizza and lobster and king prawn ravioli just utterly fantastic. And to finish we had Canolli for the first time in a Italian restaurant absolutely stunning. Only open for brunch and lunch and booking recommended.

I can’t understand why anyone would want to give this fantastic little restaurant a negative review. As regular visitors to Bellissimo, we have never had a bad meal. John takes great pride in sourcing authentic Italian ingredients to prepare both traditional and exciting new dishes. Lynn and her team at the front of house are always welcoming and take time to make sure that the food is to your satisfaction. I have never seen the place quiet which, in my opinion, speaks for itself. I can only deduce that those who criticise this little gem, are not used to good, home-cooked food served in a pleasant surroundings.

Went in had a pepperoni pizza, not a lot of pepperoni at all, weird atmosphere was really quiet I was there on my own everyone was in the back it seemed very tense like they was having a row they was also slagging someone off, it was horrible. Wouldn’t go back ever!!!

Intending to have a Saturday afternoon in Burnley we popped into this small Italian cafe. The menu (mainly pizza/pasta) gave lots of options. And, as you could hear when they turned customers away, they seem to make stuff fresh. My GF's Lasagne got a thumbs up. The Rose wine less so. Whilst a lot of the small choice of beers were not available it was interesting to see all are imported from Italy. Very rare. My chicken peppercorn tagliatelle just didn't quite deliver. Nice enough but not in line with the description. They do seem to protect the kitchen rather than chasing the volume which is fair play. Sure we will be back to try more.

Dropped in for lunch on a Saturday afternoon, but with 6 of us, and town being busy, thought we’d struggle for a table. The staff were immediately very accommodating, and going out of their way to make room for us. We had a range of dishes, with 3 kids having pasta and pizzas, and adults having the piadine wraps. Every meal was delicious and freshly made. This was our first visit to Bellissimo, and we’ll definitely be back more regularly

Not a regular into Burnley as work out of town but had to run errands GLAD I DID Was feeling peckish and stumbled across this little bit of Italy !! Had a mafiosa pizza and the taste was wow filled the void in my belly and had a peroni red beer to wash it down …service was great polite and welcoming definitely will be back Grazie guys keep up the good work

Called in today with my son whilst in Burnley. It's the 1st time we've had chance to pop in since moving away to Preston 6yrs ago. Only had a cappuccino & a latte, but it was so good to see Bellissimo still going strong. Same warm, friendly welcome, same excellent level of customer service. We used to come here regularly for lunch & although we didn't have time to do that today. We will definitely be making time to do so when we're next in the area. Thank you so much

Never mind 5stars, id give this cafe 10stars. Travelled over from Blackburn on the recommendation from our neighbour. The food was absolutely gorgeous. Much better than any Italian restaurant iv been to in Manchester or Italy. The Chef is a genius with food. The menu has lots of gluten free food, a bonus for coeliacs. If you haven't tried this wee Gem, you don't know what you are missing. Lovely staff, clean and the best Chef. Bellisimo😙

What lovely people and scrumptious real Italian food.

We called in for lunch having been tempted in by the varied menu. We had a main meal, dessert and glass of wine each. All the food and drinks were excellent, and the service was particularly outstanding. We would highly recommend and will certainly revisit, if ever we find ourselves visiting Burnley again.

First time visiting and it was absolutley brilliant so much choice for gluten-free their own made bread is so delicious I could not believe it. I also bought a cake to take home also gluten-free i am so looking forward to it 😊 and will definitely be visiting again very soon 10/10

Authentic Italian food, all made in house. Desserts are made from similar ingredients so you just know they made it here. It's not overly sweat. I homely feel inside and the proprietor is very friendly lady. As a Londoner I'm impressed. Ravioli was of a very high standard so was everything else.

Loveley little Italian restaurant and coffee shop bang in the centre of Burnley. Love the tagliatelle española. The tomato sauce they use on this, and probably on many other of their dishes, is absolutely delicious. The staff are friendly and efficient. They serve Lavazza coffee and I absolutely love the latte they make. We always look forward to our next visit there with tingling tastebuds. 2021 Update. Well, what can I say. They can still make your taste buds tingle at Bellissimo ! After the last 18 months or so of the pandemic, I'm glad to say that the service, food quality and coffee are still the best. Delicious !! Well worth a visit if you are in the Burnley area.

Loved our last minute lunch. I called ahead to book a table. Myself and my son ordered off the lunchtime menu, my son had the pepperoni pizza I had the pasta with tomato onion and bacon, it was gorgeous . We also had 2 cannoli to take away one for me one for my husband, they were delicious. Will definitely be back soon.

Delicious authentic Sicilian food. We have visited many times and the food and service is always outstanding. The owners really care about what they do and it shows. I would highly recommend to everyone, you will not be disappointed.

Fantastic Italian Coffee shop.The Scibetta family deserve all the plaudits they have received. The team of John, Lynn, Gez and Roberto and all of the team have been a cornerstone of Burnley.Burnley has a lot of coffee shops in Burnley, but none quite like this shop. The food is to die for and John the head chef also makes gluten free cakes. I’m not even gluten intolerant and I still buy the gluten free cakes.5 woofs from me and the Rescue dog.

Fantastic food and service as per usual, faultless!

First time at this hidden gem for lunch I had one of the specials spaghetti in a quite wonderful tomato, sardine, raisin, pine nut sauce brilliant. Charlotte had pasta puttanesca full of olive, anchovies and capers. Most of the pasta is available gluten free. The owners are on hand to guide you through the menu and also offer alternatives. The sweet menu is amazing we had chocolate orange and hazelnut cheesecake with gluten free ice cream plus home made calloni. Can't recommend more highly., hopefully this place can withstand any further Covid closures.

Great Authentic Italian food, coupled with great service... We are and have been regular customers for a few years. The only downside is they dont take card payments, so we don't visit as often as we might.

I haven't been for ages my friend is unwell at the moment and i moved to colne so it's a wile since we met but before I found it a friendly place and i cannot understand the bad reviews but I think you are lovely the lady who served myself and my friend , is so nice. A friend of mine recommended Bellisimo to me over a year ago....I've lived in New York for over 12 yrs and have a great Passion for Good Italian Food..In Fact my eldest Son is Married to a Girl from Sicilly and I'm spoilt for Choice any time I go visit them because of there love and Passion and the Care they take to Cook and present such beautifull Italian Food...I live in acrington in East Lancashire now and I go out of my way to travel to Burnley to eat at Bellisimo on a regular Basis..The owner and Staff are very Warm and friendly..There's a lovely Homely Ambience in the Cafe..The foods Amazing ..Cooked and served with love and Passion and very reasonably priced to....I would Highly recommend Bellisimo in Burnley to Anyone..Check it out folks You will Not be disappointed 100%.TOP NOSH...Sincerely..Patrick..x
