My daughter, myself and our small dog had lunch at Massey's recently, we had been there before and there had been no problem, the person who served us then was extremely pleasant. This time was different we ordered pancakes and fruit, the pancakes were small, looked like they had been bought in rather than made on the premises with only a few pieces of fruit scattered on the plate. After we had eaten we both had lattes, our dog started to get restless, rather than annoy other customers my daughter took him outside leaving her barely touched latte. A member of staff, (not the taller fair haired woman we met last time) this one was shorter, darkish hair, I asked if she would put my daughter's coffee into a take out cup, she made a noise (I couldn't call it a reply) then continued to wipe tables, ignored me and went downstairs. I waited but then had to take the coffee downstairs while carrying three bags. Again I had to ask if she'd microwave the now cold coffee and transfer it to a take out cup, she ungraciously took the coffee from me. it wasn't until I left the premises we realised the cup contained only two inches or less of coffee, as I already said, the coffee had hardly been touched. The server was totally disinterested, rude and unhelpful ,also food overpriced for what we had.

We visited Corbridge Sandwich during a recent visit to the village. There was so many choices of fillings for sandwiches and paninis as well as lunch options and tray bakes. We went for breakfast rolls and we were not disappointed. Tasty, filling and reasonably priced too. We made a second visit a couple of days later it was so good. Give it a try if you’re visiting.

We chose the cafe as a place to meet friends and have a coffee and snack. The cafe was fairly quiet and we were allowed to choose where to sit. We were served by several ladies who were all really friendly and happy to chat. We chose quiche and salad whilst our friends enjoyed scones with coffee’s all round. The food was excellent and having finished, we stayed for a short while and chatted. We never felt under pressure to leave and found all the staff really pleasant. We were initially unsure whether to visit having read some recent reviews, however after today’s experience, we will definitely return in the future.

I went here on a Saturday afternoon for some lunch, as a few friends had recommended. Upon arrival, the selection of food was amazing! The cakes were amazing, and the hot food was ok, too; however, this is where it got a bit frustrating. The staff are not the most organised, and they all seem to get a bit confused when it comes to the till as they serve you where the cakes are but then go to the till where it gets crowded, and people do not know who is serving who and because of this we then lost a table that we were waiting for. There are only 4 tables in the shop, so it is recommended to maybe takeaway. However, we had driven 40 minutes to get here, and people just sat when they could see there was a queue for tables. I feel like staff should maybe ask if they would like anything else and ask them to move on or alternatively book a table during busy times such as weekends. I would go here again if I pass for some cakes to take away but would not plan to come here for coffee and catch up with friends just due to the lack of tables and organisation.

We picked this tea shop at random from the several cafes in Corbridge and are so pleased we did. The friendly staff serve delicious home made food - I particularly recommend the lentil soup on a cold winters day. Do come here if you are in the area.

I'm on record as having said on many occasions that if they awarded PhDs for scone-tasting, I should have a dozen. I've eaten scones in venues from the Orkney Islands to Australia and written about them in more publications than I could possibly remember. So, you can take my word for it that the freshly-baked, home-made scones (with butter and strawberry jam) at No.6 are quite possibly the best I've tasted in recent years. Cafe No 6 is a quaint place with a very atmospheric first-floor eating area, a delightful owner and staff who look like they are actually enjoying the job they do. My wife and I were just as impressed with the special 'doggy menu' on offer. We shall be back!

We went for a hot choc early January and were really impressed. We saw the menu and said we need to come back here. So here we are, just went for our tea and it was bloody gorgeous. I have had the best meal in 2025 so far. I feel so full and happy. Staff are really friendly, the venue is comfy and warm. Also the tunes are vibing. Would reccomend. Next time we are coming for sunday lunch.
