My daughter, myself and our small dog had lunch at Massey's recently, we had been there before and there had been no problem, the person who served us then was extremely pleasant. This time was different we ordered pancakes and fruit, the pancakes were small, looked like they had been bought in rather than made on the premises with only a few pieces of fruit scattered on the plate. After we had eaten we both had lattes, our dog started to get restless, rather than annoy other customers my daughter took him outside leaving her barely touched latte. A member of staff, (not the taller fair haired woman we met last time) this one was shorter, darkish hair, I asked if she would put my daughter's coffee into a take out cup, she made a noise (I couldn't call it a reply) then continued to wipe tables, ignored me and went downstairs. I waited but then had to take the coffee downstairs while carrying three bags. Again I had to ask if she'd microwave the now cold coffee and transfer it to a take out cup, she ungraciously took the coffee from me. it wasn't until I left the premises we realised the cup contained only two inches or less of coffee, as I already said, the coffee had hardly been touched. The server was totally disinterested, rude and unhelpful ,also food overpriced for what we had.

We visited Corbridge Sandwich during a recent visit to the village. There was so many choices of fillings for sandwiches and paninis as well as lunch options and tray bakes. We went for breakfast rolls and we were not disappointed. Tasty, filling and reasonably priced too. We made a second visit a couple of days later it was so good. Give it a try if you’re visiting.

We had an absolutely wonderful Sunday lunch here. Sadly they'd run out of the beef but the lamb was delicious as was the pork so no complaints here. Just means we'll need to come back.

I am writing 2 seperate reviews as we had 2 very different experiences. The first time we stumbled upon this place,we felt like we had found a gem. Myself my husband our 2 boys and our dog stopped for drinks & cake. The staff were so friendly, food delicious and we felt welcome and relaxed. On the Tuesday on our way home from our trip we were determined to visit the coffee house again, but for lunch this time. This time the staff were not as welcoming. We were told we could not move 2 small tables together and we had to sit on a 6 seater at the door. This was not ideal as it had no space for our dog to sit and felt drafty. So we Said we'd sit on the 2 small tables without moving them. The rude blonde lady behind the counter said she'd rather we didn't incase other customers would like to sit there. We felt uncomfortable and very unwelcome so we left and are unlikely to return.

Eat here quite regularly if we can get a table. Always delicious fresh sandwiches and tasty blue cheese scones. Coffee is decent too. No complaints. Staff are very pleasant.

I'm on record as having said on many occasions that if they awarded PhDs for scone-tasting, I should have a dozen. I've eaten scones in venues from the Orkney Islands to Australia and written about them in more publications than I could possibly remember. So, you can take my word for it that the freshly-baked, home-made scones (with butter and strawberry jam) at No.6 are quite possibly the best I've tasted in recent years. Cafe No 6 is a quaint place with a very atmospheric first-floor eating area, a delightful owner and staff who look like they are actually enjoying the job they do. My wife and I were just as impressed with the special 'doggy menu' on offer. We shall be back!

Everything looks so appealing and appetising in this bakery, however my family and I have been disappointed every time we have been. We've tried numerous different items in the hope we'd maybe just been choosing the wrong things, however always feel like we've wasted our money - as the food is very overpriced. There are so many lovely cafes in the village offering nicer cakes/food. It is a shame that this is the only bakery.

Superb quality Sunday lunch!! We booked for 12 for an early lunch as we prefer to be in & out before places get rammed. It was very quiet for well over an hour as I suspect most folk were put off by the snow… not us! We travelled all the way from the coast to feed our faces!! 2 set menu prices for a 2 course (£28) or 3 course (£34) meal. Good range to suit all.. 7/8 choices per course apart from dessert which had 5 choices including cheese board. Husband plumped for the 3 course and had carrot & butternut squash soup with a poppyseed roll, roast beef and all the trimmings finished with apple crumble & custard. I had the 2 course - mushroom, butternut squash & chestnut wellington and all the trimmings finished with sticky toffee pudding. Every course was exceptional! Staff were attentive & speedy to bring out the food. The kitchen here serve restaurant quality food… it’s elevated beyond your typical ’pub grub’. Very reasonably priced as well. It was almost full as we left.. chatting to some of the other customers around us on the way out, they go most Sundays.. and we now know why!! Sshhhhhhhh! Don’t tell a soul. Keep this gem of a place a tightly guarded secret!!

No rating on rooms as we called in for afternoon drinks only.
