Definitely recommend the pulled pork or hot beef sandwiches and of course the home cut and cooked chips. Staff friendly and service excellent, 10/10

Be very careful using the car park…play it safe and pay the parking. Have a system to put in your reg. Didn’t work for me and got a £180 parking fine. No one at the pub interested or wanted to help get it cancelled 🙄

The food here is utterly woeful, at least the Sunday lunch. Clearly just supermarket food warmed up (or in some cases, not even warmed up). We waited absolutely ages for our food, and the server was completely unapologetic. We were a large party, that they knew about. We ordered in advance, and then confirmed a couple of hours prior. By the time the beef and pork started coming out (sitting on the counter, not being served), a few of our party had finished. Not on at all. Not once did they explain what was going on. We just waited and waited, and the dishes were coming out more or less one at a time. If you can't cope with large orders, don't accept them, but if you do and you can't cope, just let us know. Don't make excuses after the event. Tell us beforehand or at least apologise for the wait. Price-wise, £16 for a bought in roast is a joke. £14 for a pie clearly bought in from Heron and cooked by Chef Mike is offensive. The veg was washed out and over cooked. The gravy was tasteless. With so many other places in the vicinity to eat, this is bottom rung. Like I said, it's not even cheap. Not worth it on any level. (This is my opinion only, and not necessarily the opinion of anyone else in our group)

I used to enjoy the bacon sandwiches here, but I called in with my wife a couple of days ago, and we ordered two bacon sandwiches. I really enjoyed my bacon sandwich the last time I visited, but this time the quality of bacon was very very poor. It’s had quite an unpleasant taste to it, my wife hardly touched her and even the dog wouldn’t eat it which is saying something. I know that Urban Green are in financial trouble, but dropping the quality of food is no way to maximise profits, as you will eventually lose customers such as myself. On the other hand, the Young blonde girl who served us was extremely pleasant and accommodating. Sadly, we won’t be back, Not for food anyway.
