Fantastic student deals- the happy hour is a steal and the new menu is delicious. The Notorious P.I.G has finally returned!!! :) Kane, Jackson and Tom gave fantastic service, would recommend to a friend.

A lovely find when I was staying in Jesmond recently. I'm not a vegan but I very much feel that vegan beer ought to be more widely available (finings only make the stuff look nice) and the ales on offer prove the point very nicely. A nice collection of board-games, tasteful music at a reasonable volume, friendly locals and staff all add up to a calm and cosy atmosphere. This is the kind of pub where I could happily sit and read a book all day. A very pleasant experience.

I am absolutely appalled by the handling of allergies at this venue. A friend had listed all her allergies and was told multiple times the food was safe to eat. It was not. The food that was served resulted in anaphylactic shock requiring paramedic intervention. The manager had an attitude and refused to tell us exactly what was in the food as the reaction was onsetting. This kind of behavior was disgusting to say the least and I sincerely hope anyone ever considering this venue takes their business elsewhere. It’s hard to believe there are people who can be this grossly ignorant about someone’s life and wellbeing.

The food here is utterly woeful, at least the Sunday lunch. Clearly just supermarket food warmed up (or in some cases, not even warmed up). We waited absolutely ages for our food, and the server was completely unapologetic. We were a large party, that they knew about. We ordered in advance, and then confirmed a couple of hours prior. By the time the beef and pork started coming out (sitting on the counter, not being served), a few of our party had finished. Not on at all. Not once did they explain what was going on. We just waited and waited, and the dishes were coming out more or less one at a time. If you can't cope with large orders, don't accept them, but if you do and you can't cope, just let us know. Don't make excuses after the event. Tell us beforehand or at least apologise for the wait. Price-wise, £16 for a bought in roast is a joke. £14 for a pie clearly bought in from Heron and cooked by Chef Mike is offensive. The veg was washed out and over cooked. The gravy was tasteless. With so many other places in the vicinity to eat, this is bottom rung. Like I said, it's not even cheap. Not worth it on any level. (This is my opinion only, and not necessarily the opinion of anyone else in our group)

LA MEJOR comida mexicana que esta ciudad tiene para ofrecer - la salsa mexicana... Me gustaría en forma de goteo IV pls . . genuinamente no puedo elogiar esta comida lo suficiente es fenomenal - estaba en dos mentes acerca de pedir debido a las viejas críticas para el lugar en Stack Sunderland y estoy tan contento de que decidimos probarlo porque no tengo idea de lo que pasó al sur del río porque esta comida vale cada centavo - los sabores eran la perfección y se podía decir ingredientes son cuidadosamente seleccionados - mejor que cualquier otra comida para llevar por una milla de país 💕 no hay fotos porque nos lo comimos muy rápido 😄

Not very good at all. Nothing gluten free staff member told me. And them card payments only. Yet the tip jar is happily accepted in cash.

We came for dinner, which was lovely. Our waiter, Ben, was very attentive and polite. The food was good so would recommend. Slightly more expensive place in the area but enjoyable mean, nonetheless.
