The best restaurants serving British food in Lambeth London

Really disappointed. The café has recently come under new management and the quality of the coffee and pastries plus the service has really gone downhill. Hostile atmosphere from the staff. Terrible coffee (milk either burnt or lukewarm, doesn't look like they know the difference between a latte and a flat white). Out of date pastries. This used to be a great little local spot but not anymore. The new owners need to make an effort to train their staff and get on top of fresh produce deliveries (what happened to the amazing almond and chocolate croissants?).

We came here for a spontaneous Sunday roast not sure what to expect. It is a beautiful pub and the roast was excellent. No better feeling than not being able to finish it but desperately trying to do so. We had the chicken roast and the veggie (halloumi) roasts which were both superb! Will be back!

My breakfast was freshly cooked and went down well. The staff were friendly and my food was soon set before me. Tables were clean and the cafe had a pleasant welcoming atmosphere.

i came here before my flight to new yorkand had the fish and chips. It was verynice just what i would expect from a british pub grub.

We had afternoon tea service and it was wonderful. Presentation was beautiful and the service from Tetiana was above expectations. Would highly recommend this to everyone.

Muy buena opción para alojarse en Londres - fácil acceso a la ciudad. Personal muy amable y servicial y un gran ambiente. La habitación era muy peculiar e impecablemente limpio - grandes noches de sueño. El bar cierra a las 12 así que no hay problema con el ruido. No comimos aquí, pero la comida que nos pasó se veía muy bien. Bonito ambiente local y realmente disfrutamos de la estancia. El personal amable y servicial hace este lugar!

I bought a bag of coffee beans and ordered a custard doughnut (from st John Bakery) and they offered me an ice mokka for free! Very cozy place and friendly staff <3
