Necesitábamos un desayuno para prepararnos para el día, y no nos decepcionó. Gran comida y gran relación calidad-precio. La cafetería tiene un ambiente agradable encantador.

Nipped in here for breakfast before going to the cricket and was really pleased we did. Such good value for money, quick service and the food was great. Perfect!

Enjoyed a delicious full English breakfast here. Bacon in particular is really good! Numerous breakfast options, can swap items out as I did with egg for another sausage. Helpful location, so close to Oval underground station. The two staff I saw were friendly and I would definitely visit again. Recommend highly

Came here for lunch at the cricket test match. Huge queue in the morning but tables available for lunch. Amazed cheap food for a fraction of the price of the Oval. Quick. Full menu. Friendly service. What more do you want? Had a full English. Lovely

Went to grab a snack this morning, despite cricket being on, there was one guy doing everything on his own, queue out of the door. After 15 minutes he announced sausage sandwich, I mistakenly thought it was mine, he said its not for you why did you take it I said because I was next, we had both ordered the same accept for sauce. Needs more staff and a course in manners.

Albeit it was not a sunny day, it was certainly mild enough to eat in Kennington Park and have an ‘outside breakfast’ with 3 work colleagues. Just across the other side of the road - A3 - lies this cafe. One can order food to takeout, which was perfect, for this scenario. I wasn’t massively hungry, but the dude working, very kindly did me a fried egg, some toast, mushrooms and tomatoes. Very pleasant indeed, and just the right amount. Two of our group opted for an impressively huge brekkie - sausage, egg, bacon, baked beans, mushrooms and chips. The last colleague, who had arrived, adorned alarmingly, in a shirt ‘so’ bright, that I could only describe it as being the colour of ‘dog-d*** red’ (and I did, indeed, point this out to him), opted for fried eggs and toast. 🐶 This place was well-maintained, clean and tidy. Service was good and fast. All the food was most enjoyable, and the prices are good 👍

Just wandered around to this little place during lunch break. Absolutely brilliant. It’s only little there’s no loo but I had a cheese salad sandwich and a coke for £4 and it was just like I’d have made it at home. Salad fresh and crisp, cheese had taste and was in slices not that plastic grated nonsense and the salad cream was decent too. If the work in the area keeps up I imagine the owner and I will become fast friends!! I’d take a picture but I’ve finished...

Always enjoy a full English after a night out, but this place was next level. One man band, but the owner was hospitable and the food was scrumptious. Would highly recommend to everyone. Only downside was the only chocolate milkshake available was a yazoo. But this was made up for by freshly made bread for toast, as opposed to just Hovis.

£8.50 for a big brunch with cup of tea and four slices of toast - not bad value. Good food, obviously not gourmet, but quite palatable, filling and generally very satisfying. Large range of meals for all times of the day. Typically quite busy, sharp service and located right next to Oval Tube.

Arrived early for the Cricket at the Oval, and next to the tube station is the Oval Café. Had plenty of choice on the menu, very clean, served quickly and the food was good and filling. £6 for a breakfast as opposed to £8.50 for a burger in the ground show good value. The restaurant was clean and the staff friendly. Would return

This family-run café is next to Oval tube station and thus close to the international cricket ground. It does roaring trade during the cricket season and has a good menu which is behind the counter high up so is easy to read. there is a wide choice of ball day breakfast and sandwiches etc are made in front of you when ordered. The coffee is delightful, the staff although busy provide service with a smile and there are plenty of snacks and drinks to be purchased too. The prices for the capital are quite acceptable. I had a jacket potato and cheese which was quickly served and plied high with cheese so it served me well for my lunch-time fare. My only (small) complaint is that is a bit small, otherwise it would do even more trade!!!

Called in to the café with a friend prior to a meeting at The Oval - situated right next to the Oval underground station, I am sure it does a roaring trade in no-frills all-day breakfasts. The choice is good, straightforward and spelt out on the blackboard, all you could need and more. A very small place with tables squeezed in but this makes the welcome even better. Went for "number 5" breakfast which came with a huge portion of chips, tasty bacon, egg and sausage with mushrooms and tomato. Truly great feast, and worth a detour on the Victoria Line.

Really disappointed. The café has recently come under new management and the quality of the coffee and pastries plus the service has really gone downhill. Hostile atmosphere from the staff. Terrible coffee (milk either burnt or lukewarm, doesn't look like they know the difference between a latte and a flat white). Out of date pastries. This used to be a great little local spot but not anymore. The new owners need to make an effort to train their staff and get on top of fresh produce deliveries (what happened to the amazing almond and chocolate croissants?).

Came in for a late dinner, was warned of the time service shut multiple times to make sure we could get our orders in on time. Decor and atmosphere was lovely. Wine list was extensive and had great choices. We got quite a few small dishes between us and were all very tasty. Would definitely recommend!

If i could rate 0 stars i would. I came with a friend on a Friday evening and at first it was a pleasant experience, until the waitresses started to make us feel uncomfortable and make huge hints for us to leave. We had just finished with our drinks and we kept getting asked if we wanted the bill… we said no as we wanted to stay longer and the shop didn’t close until 10pm (is was 9:15 at this point). The waitress still came back seconds later with a card machine. We said we just said we are okay and she left and then came back AGAIN seconds later. She said this time, we HAD to pay anyways. We were so confused as we hadn’t even received a receipt or anything stating how much we are even paying. We felt so uncomfortable so we payed there and then and then left. But the whole experience was horrible. I still haven’t received my receipt (had to ask them again before we left for it and they said they’d send it via email). It felt racially coded and was very upsetting. We just wanted a lovely evening out. Definitely not recommending this place to anyone.
