Love this place. Always on point.

Not a five because the menu is a bit limited and I find a bit dangerous that beer garden in the corner. Too much traffic, too many ambulances coming and going... Feels a bit dangerous, but still, the place is nice, clean, staff is polite... All good.

Probably, as alcohol related comments state, the best bar manager in the world.

Wow! Our last evening in London after visiting from America. It was a rainy day and we stumbled upon this amazing pub. The food was incredible! Steak & Ale Pie, Sticky Toffee Pudding, and Pear/Apple Crumble... yum! Highly recommend a stop in this pub. The staff was wonderful!

On the way to watch cricket we stopped here for breakfast. Coffee was good bacon and egg roll was delicious. Atmosphere was relaxed and not too rowdy but it was 10.30 in the morning.

The pub landlords are great. The restaurant is closed on Monday evening however they are happy for you to bring in takeaway and offer table service - that is great service offering, great pub highly recommend.

What loses in service is more than made up with the quality and cost of food, great adult beverages, and the fun, jovial atmosphere! Great after tennis, soccer leagues at the parkI recommend, although not in the most desirable neighborhood, but the old house turned pub is awesome!

Fairly expensive for an average zone 2 pub. Got kicked out at 10.30 because they were closing early.

For the last 11 years, a group of friends and I have been going to The Kennington for a long and leisurely annual reunion lunch. Lee, Steve and the team are very welcoming, and the service and food quality are very good.

The Sunday roast is a bit disappoints me… the pudding and potatoes taste like pre-cooked, they are cold already.

It’s a restaurant with a big bar in the middle. The atmosphere is very nice and the waiters served us in a kind, welcoming way. The food are also pretty good, especially the fries and the burgers.

It made our trip and we loved coming here

First visit. Lively atmosphere, loud music,good choice of drinks. Food menu and outdoor seating with fantastic outdoor heating.

Had a lovely Roast beef lunch on Sunday, my only regret is that it was warm rather than hot but besides that it was a beautiful meal and enjoyed by us all, this was our fourth visit for a meal at at The Kennington and definitely won’t be our last. Staff are so very polite friendly and attentive to everyone. Thank you the meal was lovely. Oh and I love that this place is dog friendly. Thank you and see you again soon for another delicious treat.

Visited here on a Friday night just to get some food and drinks whilst we waited for our friends. Bar was busy when we entered so had to wait around for a while before we had to ask if we can sit down at the tables to order food. We then had to go up and order the food ourselves as it seemed no one was coming near us to take our orders. Staff were too busy talking amongst themselves more than anything else. Food was just your average bar food, nothing amazing and fine for what it was. The atmosphere was weird but in a good way. I'd recommend it for a few drinks but wouldn't be rushing back for some food.

Great social place to meet-up, drink and dine. They hold various events from charity fundraisers, quiz nights and great Sunday lunches and all greatly managed without issue. Drop by as I did on new year and try their food and drinks 👍

A superb eatery. Great food and excellent staff make this a must-do experience. I enjoyed a meal there before heading off to the local theatre, a few minutes walk away. I shall be back, often.

We did have a good time here, the nice weather helped to make it a good Sunday brunch. The food is ok, nothing too special but nicely cooked and presented; the service is friendly and was ok because we were having a leisurely time so not in a hurry; some portions are very large others are a bit small. All in all a good choice for a good friends Sunday time.

Nice atmosphere, well kept beer and excellent pub grub, what's not to like! I had a couple of very acceptable pints of Landlord and the day's special, an excellent Shepherds Pie with seasonal vegetables, all very good. Table service was fast and efficient from friendly staff. I shall return. I did indeed return, this time having the sausage and mash as well as fried calamari as a starter. Both were excellent, but the calamari worthy of a special mention, crispy and tender just as they should be. I have lived in Cyprus and now in in the Caribbean, but these Calamari stack up well to any I have eaten.

Good happy hour 5-8pm bottle of decent house white ~£15.

We went to this pub on the first day of the cricket at the Oval and we wanted to have a good lunch in the right atmosphere and this venue did not let us down. Friendly and helpful staff with good food and wine made this a great choice.

The waiter forgot help us order and forgot our drink and the most ridiculous happened is he forgot give our food order to kitchen by the time we fond out the waiter said kitchen is already close , from the beginning we have been waiting for a hour and got no food.

Nice, relaxingly buzzy vibe created by its two lovely owners, whether it's a midweek afternoon or a Saturday night. Great food, fine wines & cool unfussy decor with efficient service and nice outdoor space, albeit on a busy Camberwell-Kennington road, which they can't do anything about. BUT GUYS: what you can do something about is the Aperol Spritz you serve for a tenner! It should have Prosecco in it and not just soda! Otherwise five stars..

We had Sunday roast chicken, duck and the veggie one on that day, and we all like them. The dishes were all tasty (the sauce was a more sweet type). It’s not so crowded at noon on Sunday, only 30-40% full during lunch time.

Friendliest atmosphere in South West London.

Really really good Sunday Roast! Good options to choose from, but I got the beef and it was great. Came with roast potatoes, Yorkshire pudding, gravy and veg. Good, classic dessert options too. The service was good and was able to make a reservation on the day. Overall would come back!

If somewhere is open until 11pm on a Saturday, it's pretty annoying when the bar staff call last orders at 10.20pm. Incredibly, we actually saw them refuse to serve to women who came in at 10.28pm. 5 minutes later they served a guy who wanted another beer. Great way to attract new customers. I get that they probably only get paid until 11pm, but having chairs put on tables and everything being cleared up when they're still open for another half hour made us feel unwelcome. Prior to this tables hadn't been wiped down abd a few empty glasses were left on tables while the 4 staff did pretty much nothing. High prices. Over staffed. Little atmosphere. This place will be closed within 6 months.

Absolute Empfehlung von mir. Bin alleine nach London gereist und hab dieses Pub entdeckt, wurde sofort nett empfangen und ganzen Abend lang unterhalten, hab gute neue Leute kennengelernt mit denen der Kontakt immer noch besteht. Also wenn ihr in der nähe seid müsst ihr dort hin 🥰

Lovely friendly staff, very welcoming atmosphere, food was excellent and a wide variety of drinks available including several decent real ales. Very clean throughout and always nice to have hot water in the toilets. Will definitely return next time we're in the area.

Poor service. Staff are not attentive. Food is dropping quality and the service can be slow and inefficient. You must raise the bar guys.

Pretty excellent pub with a pretty excellent roast dinner and a pretty excellent beer choice. Shades of Gordon Ramsay in the cooking and cocktail making.. worth popping in if you are in the area. Yorkshire puddings on every roast a definite bonus.

My husband and I and our dog 😜 love this place, we live nearby and every now and again, while we are out with our dog we pop in here for one or two drinks and our Penny always gets a treat. People who run this place are very nice and friendly and the place itself is very nice too. On the photo Penny is looking for another treat 😂🙈
