The best restaurants serving British food in Bunhill Islington London

Visited the Sutton Arms twice whilst visiting family in Clerkenwell. What a great local pub with quality values. Staff are knowledgeable and the experienced owner, Mick, is a proper pub landlord of the old school: knows his clientelle well and is friendly and welcoming to first time visitors. Big selection of beers, all written on a blackboard, and 3 beautifully kept cask ales on handpull. I had Five Points Bitter, Five Points Pale, and JW Lees Bitter over my two visits. Proper pub: if I lived in the area, I'd be a regular.

Stopped here whilst on business. Good range of small plates. Very quiet as it was a Tuesday afternoon. Good WiFi and range of coffees.

Excellent food, we tried the classic Sunday lunch, very good meat, and very good beer too! Polite, kind and professional staff. Highly recommended

In una zona non turistica sorge questo locale frequentato da londinesi e che londinesi mi hanno consigliato. L'ambiente è quello tipico dei risto-pub di epoca passata. La prima zona del locale è infatti un vero e proprio pub dove bere birra alla spina, mentre nella seconda parte vi è un sobrio ristorante. Essendo domenica la scelta (quasi obbligatoria) è stata quella di prendere il Sunday Roast con l'opportunità di scegliere la tipologia di carne. Tutto squisito, dalla carne, alle verdure intorno al yorkshire pudding di accompagnamento. Prezzo nella media (alta) londinese.

Shocking rude violent staff inc bar staff! Such a shocking experience I would avoid this establishment. We had to call the police against the door staff as they assaulted us and physically through us out violently.

Good price for what you paid, food include drink, but be careful if you turn your back on your drink, they take the glass away from your table does not matter if the glass is almost full, and if you complain they tell you the glass was unattended, they took my glass just like that, and they just told me to order another drink. Sorry excuse for a manager

We had the most amazing time hosting a baby shower at this incredible pub! The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and the staff went above and beyond to make everything perfect. The service was truly the best we’ve ever experienced—attentive, friendly, and so accommodating. Everyone had a blast, and it was the perfect place to celebrate such a special occasion. Highly recommend!
