Visited as a family of 7 for my husband’s birthday. Meal was very nice all be it a bit expensive and although the pub is very nice we were a little disappointed to be put in the bar area with a table just about big enough for 6 people and a small round table dumped on the end. However, all of this i could except but my real grip was that at the end of the meal i was given an itemized bill so i paid by card and handed the man £10 tip as a sign said they prefer cash tips. Later when i looked at the itemised bill we had asked for i noticed that a 10% service charge had been added without my knowledge. I won’t complain as they obviously need the money more than i do but i will not be visiting again or suggesting to my friends

Lovely lunch with decent portions. Had a jacket with chili which was very tasty. Staff friendly and helpful. Relaxed atmosphere. Initially a little chilly but they had just opened on a rotten first day of February. Open grate fire but wasn't in use at the time. Good value for money.

Quiet country pub in the middle of nowhere. Met with friends for-dinner. Food and drink options were good. It’s decent pub grub. We enjoyed our time here and would go back again.

Food was cold when it came out. Table was pre-booked and I received a text the day before asking to confirm the booking. When we arrived at the place we were not informed that quite a few items on the menu were not available, i.e no roast potatoes, turkey and other items of which I can't remember. I ended up just having roast beef and Yorkshire pudding, which was cold and the beef was like boot leather. We waited over an hour and a half and in that time only 2 starters had come out. We explained this to a member of staff and the response was "and". We had a 4 year old who was getting very hungry and asked if they could at least bring out the children's dinners. The response was " I will have to speak to the kitchen". When the meals did start coming out, it wasn't the children's. The place was not busy at the time. No one enjoyed their meal. We were a party of 10 and was celebrating a birthday. When I paid there was no apology for the delay and no money off offered. We were not even told to have a good evening when we left. We will not be going back
