Brilliant. No idea why I’ve not been coming here before more often. 🎉

Closed when I arrived at 12.50 on 19 Feb 2025. Best call ahead!

Service terrible we waited an hour and 20 minutes for food after ordering even after asking how long it would be after 45mins. The glasses were dirty and had to be changed. The food was nice when we eventually got it but not worth the wait! It’s such a shame as it is a lovely setting in the conservatory but would definitely not eat here again. It maybe ok to go for drinks but the restaurant service is terrible

It has the best Mac and cheese in the world!! Bills is a family favourite and the 'kids eat free' over the school holidays is an added bonus.

Nice looking pub, but suffers from the usual McMullen problem of offhand, borderline rude staff

Fantastic pub great friendly staff good choice of ale with abbot and side pocket on all were in really good order. Very clean pub.

It’s funny what can happen on a Thursday travelling down the London road in St Albans you stop at the Farmers Boys in St. Albans see a sea of people baby boomers and Gen X, bobbing bald heads of gentlemen being reminded of a time of love and camaraderie thought lost. No challenges , no issues here just a great group of people enjoying what can only be described as music at its best no technology fine tuning , raw musicality and talent excellence to the ears! These guys have travelled the world and played for legends Elton John wedding , Lulu’s 60th , Ringo Starr ‘s 70th

Slowest service in St Albans... Only 3 in the queue but still took 20 minutes to order a coffee. Honestly, don't bother.

Had a great lunch here Monday 5/5. Four of us. We had spaghetti with prawns, pasta with chicken and mushrooms, steak and a pizza. Every dish was perfect. The service was professional, friendly and efficient. Despite being very busy, everything was presented fresh and hot WELL DONE. Bill Howard
