I have visited 3 times in as many weeks. The salads are good and the not so healthy cheat cakes are amazing! I've also ordered tray bakes online which came in one piece and were so fresh! I'd highly recommend for brownies, coffee and drip cakes.

Wonderful pottery painting studio with kind staff and a variety of ceramics to select. Always a pleasure to visit. Great selection of teas/coffee and cakes too.

Service and Food both poor. Arriving 10 mins before our table reservation we were seated and then ignored. 20 minutes later we were told that a large party had ordered and that we would have a 30 minute wait. In fact we waited 40 mins. Food was poor. Hard deep fried roast potatoes, under cooked vegetables and tough meat. Should have stayed at home.

Been coming here for years. Great home made curries at reasonable prices. A bit off the beaten track but well worth a visit.

This is an absolute must if you’re in the Ipswich area! Huge shout out to the team on Allen Gardiner who were extremely friendly and the service was impeccable. The live commentary from the Captain was humorous and engaging. Not avid sea goers we were extremely comfortable on board. The facilities were spotless including toilets and drinks were served throughout the 3 hour cruise. This is one that we will certainly recommend to friends and family. A beautiful little treat for our 43rd Wedding Anniversary. 👌🏼☀️☀️😎

I’ve been coming to this very small coffee shop for a couple of years. The service is excellent they only have six tables but it is far more personal than many of the nearby cafes The menu is a fairly good selection of sandwiches and light meals including breakfast Ideal for me when attending football matches as it’s quite near the ground I will continue to enjoy this wonderful shop for another season

We visited today for lunch and had the worst experience ever in a restaurant. We ordered a sharing loaded chips which was on the menu as loaded chunky chips with sausage bacon and cheese. At £14.50 we expected a decent sized plate with probably a x2 sausages and x2 bacon chopped up with loads of melted cheese. What we received was a plate of chips with about 1/2 sausage finely chopped , a few tiny bits of bacon and a thin layer of cheese. It was about enough for 1 person and worth about £6. Without touching it I took back to bar and the manager came out who was the rudest and most confrontational person with absolutely no people skills. Would not recognise my complaint, said I’ve got what I ordered didn’t want to do anything to resolve the issue. Didn’t offer to add any extra food, didn’t apologise, didn’t offer a refund or an alternative. I was so angry I told him to keep his money and keep his food. Never been so angry. If you’re thinking of going here, don’t!!!

The Beagle is easy to find on the outskirts of Ipswich and has a pleasant environment and a welcoming front of house team, We were seated and our food and drinks orders were taken fairly quickly. However, it went downhill after that. Our food took about 45 minutes to arrive, even though it wasn't very busy when we ordered. The other person in our party had Mac & cheese, which was ok but burnt round the edges. He likes it like that but I prefer my food not to be burnt. I did something I've never done before in a restaurant - I sent my food back. The battered fish was so tough that I struggled to cut some of it with my knife, let alone eat it. Battered fish should have a crisp, bubbly batter - this one had a greasy, very flat coating. Triple cooked chips should be crisp on the outside and soft inside - mine were not at all crisp so, if they had ever been triple cooked, they had been left so long that they had gone soft. On the positive side, our waitress was brilliant. She was very apologetic and immediately offered to replace it with the same or a different dish. I decided to go for the pie, which was tasty - although it took another 30 minutes to arrive. She also arranged for me not to be charged for the fish or the pie as some compensation for our experience. The pub has a brilliant, if overworked, front of house team but clearly needs to sort its kitchen out if it is to attract repeat business.

Nice location and okay food, which is a shame as that is where the good part ends. The Decor is well overdue for a re- vamp, the carpet is filthy, the tables are sticky and stained, the woodwork is in need of sanding and painting, the light fittings are 50 years old, the blinds are falling down, dirty toilets and there is dust, dirt and cobwebs everywhere and weeds outside on the patio area. This could be a nice place, but what is mentioned above, explains why we saw only 12 people in there on a bank holiday weekend !! Give it a wide berth until there is a sign of refurbishment.
