We had a wonderful lunch at Make Believe yesterday. I enjoyed a tasty salad, while my friend had a jacket potato, which she really liked. The portion sizes were generous and the prices were very reasonable. The children were happily occupied with the play facilities, including a giant sandpit and a playhouse, which gave my friend and I a chance to relax and catch up. It’s rare to find a spot that combines great food with child-friendly entertainment—this place is a real hidden gem. I forgot to mention pudding- I had the most delicious crème egg cookie. I will definitely visit again soon. Thank you Make Believe

We had a lovely Sunday dinner here with a view of the canal. Our reservation was for two hours so we did not feel rushed. The food, service and weather were perfect. Highly recommend:)

Unacceptably rude, by which I consider from the other reviews - over a period of years - is the owner. Got upset because we used a table for too long just for coffee. If an establishment has a maximum stay or minimum spend maybe advertise, not sure a high street cafe can operate at that level. Asked to leave to free up the table, which we happily did. No reason to return but a lifetime memorable unpleasant memory from an angry, rude business owner. Do you remember when.... Chains only and Waitrose free to avoid this potential unpleasantness from small businesses in future.

I’ve been here a couple times for breakfast and it’s always delightful. The coffee is fantastic and so is the food. Would highly recommend:)

I haven't been for a couple of years because I hated it last time. However, it has had a few management changes and some friends were meeting there, so reluctantly we went. It was nice, we enjoyed our food, which was pub grub and it was so much better than before. We won't be hesitant to go managing

The crispy duck salad was a stand out winner. Absolutely amazing very light refreshing taste but also filling. Would come again for this. Nice selection of flavoured ciders
