Really lovely take away large tasty fish and crispy fluffy chips was served by a lovely friendly gentleman excellent choice of menu

My daughter and I shared a panini and we had a different filling in each end. Best bacon, Brie and cranberry I have had this year. Extremely friendly team . A great find we will be back. All the best for 2024

It was a warm day and after the Rock Choir gig in Culver Square both my partner and I deserved a quenching drink...Juicy Bar Vitality hit the spot big time...Lemons, Apples and Soda...fantastic...the very best Juicy drink ever....

I thought we'd lost him! Imagine my delight when I recently discovered he was still there, every morning from about 8am until 3pm or so, just around the corner from where he used to be, tucked in between Paragon Stainless & Howdens Joinery, itself next to Go Bananas and opposite Jump Street.Order the Girly Stick and get what amounts to a full English - er - Scotish(!) - breakfast in a half baguette, with a cup of tea (free refills!) - all for £2.50! And it's great food! He has a wider choice of sauces than anywhere I know. I always go for mustard and hot chilli.Go as much for the camaraderie and conversation as for the actual food itself. Joe's is a local institution. All the local tradespeople go there. Catch this iconic local venue while you are here - you will be glad you found it!

We called in today and were lucky enough to get a table. Nicest breakfast we've had out in ages. The coffee was gorgeous, staff and service were excellent and the place had a lovely buzz. Will definitely be back

as I use a mobility scooter. and outside tables are available i get served by lovely staff .without having to leave my mobility seat .

Popped in after a visit to the dentists, hoping to grab some breakfast, but I was too late as it was 12pm. However, the lovely staff member did me a strong black coffee (very tasty, strong without being too bitter), offered me some toast and tried to cater to my gluten free diet, and later on returned with a packet of GF crisps as they had finished breakfast time. Very thoughtful service, and the sofas at the front of the shop are extremely comfortable, I did not want to leave.

I've lived in Colchester most my life, so I'm annoyed that I just recently found this absolute gem! So in the last month we have visited 4 times as I don't think I'd get better elsewhere! Lovely menu with plenty of different options and I'm making my way through the lovely teas. The food we have received has been just perfect and delicious. Pretty outside seating and also lovely inside. And the absolute kicker is the value, so much good quality food for a very reasonable price. We won't go anywhere else now 🤣 and also the lovely staff who are so welcoming and friendly. Lovely young girl always asks what we are up to for the rest of the day and she genuinely seems interested, absolutely wonderful 😊 thanks for making our weekends just perfect!

Managed to snag an outside table with a view of the castle. The chai latte had real depth of flavour and the cappuccino was good. My felafel salad was very good and the felafel were moist instead of dry like in most places. My partners chicken and bacon sandwich was generously filled and all at a very reasonable price. We’d deff go back here when next in Colchester.

Came here specifically to but a lot of cheese and boy do they have the best array of high end cheeses from their marvellous counter. Of course you can buy an array of other groceries that are not always available in supermarkets. Lovely service as well. A great find

Thanks to TripAdvisor this was a great find and just what we were looking for. Hobson's has a varied menu of freshly prepared food. The staff are friendly and welcoming and it has a relaxed atmosphere that made the whole experience enjoyable for us all. There are tables both in and outside. We will definitely return.
