We were guided round by Kerry and learned so much about windmills, grinding, life in the last century, the upkeep of this wonderful structure plus the true meaning of a damsel in distress. You MUST be mobile to climb the narrow steps to the top but what a view and such mechanical workings! Wonderful

Love rumblings for a traditional filling English breakfast but they have other great things on offer as well as really nice takeaway rolls and sandwiches. Very friendly staff and great value for money overall

Lovely fresh cooked food, hubby had large breakfast with chips instead of bubble & black pudding. I had burger and chips. We really enjoyed it and it was piping hot. Would recommend.

My hubby having recently had major surgery, and for the first time feeling able to get up and out. We were looking for a relaxing place less than 30 minutes from home so decided on the Ship at Pinchbeck. On the river Glen, an old Thatched pub set in its own grounds with lots of parking, what a choice we made. Dave our barman was welcoming and accomodating, and Lucy our waitress was sunny and quick to humour. We whiled away two happy hours on too many brilliant starters!! Crunchy pork belly bites, tender chicken strips (so tender!!) and yummy coconut crunch king prawns! What a treat and virtually buy two get one free! We almost regretted having the main courses....till they came out. Lamb shank for my husband and chicken supreme for me, both wonderfully cooked with a varied range of veg...almost perfect. Then almost but not quite ready to roll to the car, a quick look at the sweet board just to see? Oh lemon cake soaked in lemon syrup and gin....oh no way!! Of course it was yes way! And I am sure that my cheeky question, is it iced? Encouraged a response from from the chef. I can honestly say it was the best sweet I have had in many years of trying pubs and resturants all over Lincs. and further, well done chef!! Now it is your fault I can barely keep my eyes open as I write this, but as I drift off, at least I can dream of the meal we can have next time we come back....night night and thanks all for such a welcome treat! C&Jx
