Sunshine in South Holland

Lovely fresh cooked food, hubby had large breakfast with chips instead of bubble & black pudding. I had burger and chips. We really enjoyed it and it was piping hot. Would recommend.

ok we are hear today a very nice clean place very large menu very good staff and the meals are quite big and hot with both inside and out seating and we will be back very soon no car park though

Whilst shopping in Spalding decided I fancied some lunch. The burger was simple but tasty and the decaf tea served in a large cup and saucer, was very good. I didn't wait long for the food and the cafe seemed clean and tidy. There is outdoor seating but that depends on the weather. Staff not really that friendly but efficient I'd say. Good value for money and would visit again for both food and drinks

We’ve been here a couple of times and we think it’s good value for money. Staff are friendly and welcoming. Food is what to expect for a breakfast If you need extra then all you need to do is ask! Will definitely pop in again

We visited this restaurant as a party of four. We sat down and ordered our food. One of our order came then about three minutes later another order came. Waiting again one more order came. Finally about 10 minutes after the first order came we got our fourth order. I would not recommend this restaurant if you don't want your food to come in dribs and drabs. And also the staff are not very friendly.

It had just started to rain so we popped in for a latte, but ended up having a spot of lunch. We should've just stopped at the latte, because if we had I would have given them 4 stars. The latte we ordered was served quickly, was quite large and had a nice flavour about it. Unfortunately I can't say the same for the food. The chap serving us almost dropped our plates on the table, and shot off. No words, not even a cheery smile. I had a breakfast and the food was evidently on the cheaper side, the fried egg was quite small, and it appeared that the meat content of the sausage looked a tad iffy. My breakfast was 1 sausage, 2 rashers of bacon, 1 egg and some beans for £5. I guess I expected better quality for 5 items. The cafe tables are well spread out, and it seemed clean. Will we be going back? No!

Been in here after work for lunch the last few Fridays. Good food great value for money friendly helpful staff.

The food is good and fast you don't have to wait for a while. The staff is friendly and helpfull. It is in the city center a fantastic place.

its been awhile eating hear but its just as it was before very clean nice staff and great quality and quantity of food a very nice bright place well set out and plenty leg room under the tables to get in and out the food is fresh cook and we think well worth the wait i can only review cafes/restaurants how we find them on the days we are there

Having walked around Spalding for a while we decided to stop for a drink. The two lattes and a cappuccino we had were very nice with pleasant prompt service.

We went to this cafe quite by chance and were pleasantly suprised by the quality and quantity of the food. It was served by a very helpful lady with a good sense of humour and we enjoyed our visit. We will be visiting again very soon

We ordered 2 cappuccino coffee a Prawn sandwich and ham sandwich! The prawns turned up disguised as frozen shrimps obviously defrosted in the microwave within two slices of sliced bread soggy with the water from the shrimps one bite was enough to stop consumption. The waitress had been petting a customer's dog and to our knowledge did not wash her hands on returning to her duties.

On a visit to Spalding we called in at Sunshine Cafe for a coffee. It was a lovely coffee and the staff were friendly and polite. After a walk around the area we then headed back to Sunshine Cafe for a bite to eat. After being asked if we wanted drinks the same as earlier, my wife ordered a jacket potato with baked beans, ham and side salad, my mother-in-law order pancakes and I ordered a cheese and ham omelette with chips and side salad. When the food arrived we we're all taken aback. Two big pancakes for the mother-in-law, a nice big jacket potato with a generous portion of baked beans, 3/4 nice big slices of ham and a beautiful side salad. As for my omelette, a tasty big 3-egg omelette with a generous portion of chips and peas together with a side salad like the wifes, lettuce, carrot, onion and pickled red cabbage. This was definitely a feast (see photo). Well cooked meal with tasty ingredients and very well presented, and tasting just as good. We will definitely remember Sunshine Cafe the next time we visit Spalding.

Looking to have breakfast somewhere, my friend and I thought we'd try this cafe for a change. The interior was ok, there's plenty of seating and there is a good variety on the menu. However the breakfast left a lot to be desired, clearly cheap quality food (the sausage in particular was vile). Another thing that would put me off visiting again we're the staff, who spent the entire time on their phones, chewing gum or cuddling in the kitchen.

The breakfast menu has something for everyone’s palate, great choice and price. Staff are very friendly food taste great and presented well. Definitely worth a visit.

I had been craving an all day breakfast on a Sunday, luckily the Sunshine Cafe doesn't shut until 5pm! Had an excellent full breakfast and it was so tasty! They're so accommodating at swapping the food you don't like with other items, and the food is fast, but not too fast, you can have a nice chat and drink your coffee whilst you wait.

Hubby & I popped in here for brunch before we did our shopping. Well worth a visit if only for a cuppa. We had food as well this time, very reasonably priced & very hospitable

Love this restaurant. Always get a great welcome, quick riendly service. Lots of choices of food. Great quality food. Ihave brunch here every Saturday with my 4 grandchildren.

Nice friendly place, good basic meals. Often have lunch here before going to cinema. Clean and tidy.

Day out in Spalding and stopped in here for lunch. Not too sure what to expect as cafe is nothing special from the outside however once inside it was both clean and inviting. Staff were friendly and quick to provide service. My partner was served with a decent mug of tea whilst we ordered. One breakfast and a jacket potato ordered which both arrived quickly. Lovely jacket potato with heaps of tuna, sweet corn and a lovely fresh varied salad. Excellent. Breakfast also excellent and came with two slices of toast and a mug of tea. Lovely food, quick service and friendly staff. My only criticism? Please offer brown toast for breakfasts.

What a great little place. Spotlessly clean and tidy. Friendly welcoming staff. Affordable food and plenty of it. And a proper mug of tea. What you see is what you get. No pretensions just honest cafe food.

Absolutely love this place. Nothing is too much if you have dietary requirements and need some adjustments to the menu they do it. Always made to feel welcome and staff are friendly. Highly recommended!

We had breakfast in the Sunshine Café on a Saturday morning. Toasted teacake, poached eggs on toast and coffees. Everything was good and service was efficient.

La comida era buena, servicio rápido, limpio y bien iluminado, y las instalaciones a un buen precio. 13 libras por 2 comidas y bebidas no demasiado viejo. Tuve la lasaña y patatas, que venía con un arco iris de ensaladas demasiado y fue una buena grasientos y muy sabroso. Prefiere real patatas fritas pero en general muy buena.

Teníamos tanto a café y pan tostado esta mañana y fue muy agradable. El servicio es amable y muy rápido. Hay mucho espacio para sentarse y mesas más arriba. El precio era muy bueno también. Volveremos.

Normalmente pop para un desayuno y café con frecuencia. El personal es amable, y hacen lo imposible para hacerte sentir bienvenido y cómodo. Cada comida y bebida que he tenido hasta ahora ha sido excelente y agradable. El restaurante está siempre limpio y ordenado; con un ambiente cálido y acogedor y un personal agradable.

Hazel & I popped out for coffee we went shopping first, then went in Sunshine as it was the closest place where Hazel could get access with her walker as she is disabled, & she had worn herself so we needed a place for her to rest. we ordered a drink & as I had never been in thought I would sample the food, I had the double Egg & chips & Haze had the baked spud it was delicious, well worth a try.

Eaten here a few times. Food is fantastic. If we pop in for lunch whilst working they bring the food quickly, knowing we have to get back. Excellent service, friendly staff. Worth a visit. Breakfast is fab!

Stopped for a quick coffee and sat outside, despite the rain as the canopy stopped us from getting wet.Had a lovely cappuccino and a diet coke, served by a lovely, very friendly waitress and only £3!Inside looked to be nearly full, can see why as its a lovely place to stop for a while

Very extensive menu for everyday meals including Sunday Roast. Very clean and very reasonably priced. Prompt service and staff very polite. Has outside eating area and it's nice to grab a coffee and people watch for 15 mins.

Stopped by for a pit stop coffee. Service was fast and friendly. The place is no frills, but it did what we needed.

Firstly I have to say that I`ve recently joined Trip Advisor AND... left Spalding in December 2014. However, this restaurant is worthy of a review because we always had excellent service, well cooked food (usually a cheese omelette and fries with salad), coupled with a very friendly atmosphere. No visit out of probably 5 or 7 ( Cant remember exactly!) was bad, and to be honest I really wish I lived closer so a regular visit was possible. We are going over to Spalding in May 16 so if time permits, a visit is possible.PLEASE NOTE MY LAST VISIT WAS DECEMBER 2014 JUST PRIOR TO MOVING, AND THE EARLIEST DATE ON T.A WAS MAY 15.

First time in here, very clean and very friendly staff. The food cooked very well and plenty of it, tasty to. will use again when back in Spalding.

They do great/huge servings per plate however it appears that food just came straight from the freezer to the deep fryer.

Friendly service, well priced menu and great portion sizes. Food is well cooked and doesnt pretend to be gourmet. Just honest good cafe grub. Great for this weary traveller. Would definitely recommend the mixed grill if you are looking for a quick refuel on the road.

Lovely quiet cafe with helpful staff, gorgeous food and large portions at a very reasonable price. When the owner suggested we change tabless because the plates were big we thought he was joking. Hash browns were the best I've ever had

Handy little café to eat on a Sunday in the heart of Spalding. We had a roast dinner which was tasty and served quickly.

Great service and great food, Good menu choice for a quick lunch time snack, Service with a smile would use again soon.
