A great place for a delicious roast with lashings of gravy , top tea and friendly service. 9/10. How to get 10. Add gluten free Yorkshire puddings and stuffing to the dinner. The pot of gold at the end of our walk by Brian ten hills.

After paying an exorbitant price for a cup of tea I was expecting something good, what I actually got was a Luke warm unstewed thimble of something resembling tea.i told the lad behind the bar it wasn't good enough and that the water wasn't even boiling to brew the tea properly.the water had come out of machine so he was happy with his response.if you can't get tea right in the hospitaly business what can you be trusted to get right.

Great experience, I was visiting the Peak District for a month, with my grandson, we had lunch at the Red Lion on our first day ,we were so impressed with the quality of the food and friendly service, we returned seven times, before we returned to Australia. Two of the staff were amazing and made our visits special, Chelsea and Kristina, we consider them as friends . Hopefully we can enjoy the amazing food and service next year.

Have been going to the Miners arms for 20+ years and have never been disappointed with the food always good quality and the staff are very friendly. We both had the steak and mushroom pie today it was very tasty and the vegetables were delicious. Always have a good real ale on hand pump. The pudding's are very nice as well I had the plum crumble and my partner had the Guinness cake that was really good. Always busy need to in advance.

Stayed for 2 nights. Rooms very dated, mouldy tile grout, cobwebs on windows etc. Food was nice but a bit pricey, disappointed that the chips were frozen not hand cut as advertised. Kitchens were closing early as not many customers. . Good selection of beers. Lots of dogs in the pub which I don’t mind but I don’t think they shouldnt be allowed on the seats. A lot of customers swearing at the bar. Good location and nice and helpful staff
