The best restaurants serving British food in Rothley and Thurcaston Charnwood East Midlands

Booked for afternoon tea for a friends 50th cannot fault the service it was excellent and the quality of the food was unbelievable there was so much we had to take it home as well

The food was well cooked and very tasty, and the service, although a bit slow was fine. However, our visit was spoiled by having to perch on stools at our table, although arriving at 1215. It seems that locals get first choice of seating so beware if you have back problems..

Fantastic food Fantastic service

The Bluebell Inn is a delightful place to have a meal. The staff are super friendly and attentive. The food was delicious and the atmosphere perfect for our needs. We had a guest in a wheelchair and a large labrador puppy with bountiful energy, both were accommodated with ease - with the staff welcoming any challenge we may have presented. Would highly recommend the pub, but don't all rush down cos otherwise we won't get a seat! LOL.

Interesting place. Reasonable menu. Risotto spoilt by being overcooked, more like rice pudding. Also surprised that three of the glasses of wine I chose were out ot stock but still on the drinks menu

We went for the Saturday breakfast, one if the best eggs royal and pancakes we've ever had!

Lovely roast dinner, staff were friendly. We were served by the lovely Thea who was really good with our little girl! Thankyou so much 😊

Great meal, lovely staff. This is such a gem of a place, great atmosphere. Tuesdays are very popular due to the quiz, which is great fun.
