The best restaurants serving Brasserie food in London

It was a date night with my wife and I wanted to fine dine yet be local to us. South Croydon is as local as can be. Crystal Restaurant under Hussain fulfilled and tick boxed. Starter of Baba Ganoush, my Sea Bass main, the grilled Chicken, and then the Saffron infused sugar Mint tea. Perfect. Thank you so very much for a lovely service.

Excellent fish and chips! Always freshly cooked to order. Had a visiting family from abroad and ordered for them all ,and every one thoroughly enjoyed it! Lovely succulent cod and chips , freshly fried and not greasy , and generous portions. Always friendly and welcoming, and even giving a free complimentary large bottle of lemonade for the visiting kids. Highly recommended !

Absolutely love this gem! Even their chips are wonderful! Excellent. Adding after yet another visit, the Kleftiko today was beyond absolutely magnificent! I feel I am in Cyprus when there, so good.

The best doner and the best garlic and chilli sauce in Dagenham

Food is great, meat is super delicious. However, the atmosphere is cheap and loud. You get seated at a massive communal table. This would be great for an informal get together. However, this place is priced expensive like a top tier restaurant. In this case, the standard required in terms of service, seating and ambience must be signficantly higher… you cant seat someone at a communal table and charge them £300+ per person for a meal.

Always spot on with steaks and brilliant Earlsfield moist burger - well priced and good red wines from those that I’ve tried. Bernaise could be better. Just watch out for the affogato, delicious but so strong on caffeine.

I’ve been to Bentleys several times in the last year. It’s very good well presented food. I like the menu - particularly the range of starters. The seafood is as good as it should be. Service is very good, attentive but not intrusive. I like the traditional ambience. I’ve only ever eaten upstairs but the bar area has banquette seating and you can sit outside too.

Thank you to Eric and the rest of the staff for making us feel so welcome! The design was excellent, very rustic/industrial, which my husband and I both love. The food was wonderful. My only wish is it weren't so far from where we live so we can easily come and visit! 😅

Food was OK. Gets busy at peak times

Acogí una cena de negocios aquí por recomendación de un conocido, y fui con expectativas razonables y de buen humor. Era bastante temprano en una tranquila noche de lunes y normalmente uno podría hacer concesiones para eso, especialmente si es un restaurante informal. Si todos se esfuerzan, instintivamente me resisto a publicar una crítica negativa. Pero no esta vez, la experiencia olía a "no nos importa", y sugiero que en el negocio de la hospitalidad, eso es simplemente inaceptable.

We had the platter for 2. Great food, tasty, the meat was hot and cooked to perfection. Lovely art work around the restaurant, lovely staff, good service and vibrant, light atmosphere.

The baby chicken with saffron rice as a side is delicioussss! Great service as well.
