The best restaurants serving Asian food in Rother South East

Arrived for my birthday meal, which was booked by my brother, we arrived 10 mins early only to be told we are early and he was busy doing his takeaways, my daughter turned up with my grandson and again the manger/owner said "oh we don't allow children, I told your brother this." he did not? my grandson is 2 and 1/2 and has Cerebral palsy. the way we were treated was unbelievable, WE LEFT, not only did they ruin my birthday but also left a bad taste in my mouth. AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE

I visited Mahdi Lounge with my dad two weeks ago, and we were blown away by how good our experience was. We were visiting Rye for the day and since we’re both vegan we decided to try Mahdi Lounge for lunch as their menu is impressively clearly marked for vegan options. We were not disappointed! Not only was the food delicious, but the service was impeccable. The staff members are incredibly accommodating and go above and beyond to look after their customers. When we left, my dad accidentally left his hat on the table, and we realised this as we were walking down the street. We turned around to go back and get it, and a staff member was already running down the street towards us with the hat in his hand to give it back to us. Amazing service, amazing vegan food options! Highly recommended.

We have been eating the incredible food from this restaurant for years and I felt it was time to write a review. The food is to die for. So fresh, so tasty and so delicious. I have only ever ordered take away, which is collected in person. I have tried most items on the menu and all have been delicious.

This place has a fantastic reputation for food and is consistently busy. A recent visit left me very underwhelmed. Food was average and prices toppish. All perfectly edible, but nothing special. The tofu was horrible and I left it. No one asked why. Won't be going back. The branch in Eastbourne is meant to be better.

Ordered a takeaway, was very nice, good quantities and very tasty. The keema nan was excellent. Had enough left over for another meal the following day.

Being recommended by friends when visiting. Small oriental restaurant but nice atmosphere. Delicious food and lovely waitress, especially the Singapore noodle, my favourite!!!

Good Malaysian takeaway and restaurant, situated inside a pub. We ordered a takeaway for collection - Crispy, chilli beef is particularly tasty! Overall, the food was fresh, fairly priced and the service was excellent. First time using this place and got lost on collection as we weren't expecting it to be located in a pub - we couldn't see a notice or sign anywhere and only found it by asking locally! Apart from that we were very happy. We'll be back!

Best pub roast you can get! Just as good as home cooked but without all the prep or clearing up…..even the roast spuds are crispy and not reheated like most pubs. Has become our monthly treat with friends.

What a lovely place, beautiful food great atmosphere, quiet and not crowded. First Class.
