The best restaurants serving American food in England

As a family restaurant, it probably serves the need very well but as a traditional American style smokehouse, it really isn’t great. Portions are small and not very tasty; it lacks the traditional American style. It’s also very noisy. Lots of children running around. It’s more a family restaurant for entertaining young children than a serious smokehouse Also not well coordinated and rather expensive for what it is Staff need to be smarter and better trained Mot a good experience. Won’t be going back

Positives: extensive menu, something for everyone. Outside and indoor seating. Friendly staff. Negatives: food was cold (literally no warmth to it). Waited 20 minutes for coffees and 55 minutes for food, which seemed a long time just for the food we ordered.

Our evening at The Alchemist Spinningfields was a full-on sensory treat! We went with friends and really leaned into the menu, trying a range of cocktails and small plates that made the whole night feel like a playful experiment (in the best way). For drinks, we mixed it up with the Colour Change 1, which was as fun to watch as it was to drink, the dramatic Dead Red Zombie, and the smooth Hit & Rum that delivered bold flavors. I also went for the Legal One, while another friend chose the Aperitivo Oy both were light, refreshing, and perfect starters to the evening. When it came to food, we didn’t hold back! We ordered the Doughballs for a classic snack, Chicken Gyoza that were perfectly crisped, and the Prawn Lollipops, which were a fun and tasty surprise. The Beef Brioche was juicy and rich, and the Ribeye Steak with salt & pepper fries was a standout tender and satisfying. For a spicy kick, the Spicy Chicken delivered exactly what we were hoping for. Our server was a total star, answering every question we threw their way and offering brilliant recommendations, even suggesting a few spots for our night to continue after our meal. It really elevated the whole experience! Between the theatrical cocktails, the flavorful small plates, and the friendly, helpful service, it was a night well spent. We’ll absolutely be back for another round of both food and fun!

Micheal was a great customer service manager, very friendly and welcoming. He went out of his way to make sure we were good, gave us his time as if we were guests on his house.

Had late lunch here today. The food and service was great. Very plentiful and worth the money. Super yummy. Chicken burger for the children was a bit spicy so she didnt eat it all :( Food greasy but have a roll of kitchen roll on the table to use. Service quick, food hot.

Not a huge fan on the salsa, couldn't taste the cilantro, tomatoes and onion. It is like a thick paste. The tacos were good and well seasoned! ~From Texas

Avoid. Avoid. Avoid. As poor as Weatherspoons - if not worse! Didn’t realise it was a cheap chain place when we went in. All microwave food. Drinks were poor too. Save your money and visit a local independent instead. After speaking to a local, it has recently been taken over by a pub chain, hence why the reviews and stars are misleadingly high.
