It is a beautiful venue with beautiful staff, it must be one of the best locations for a restaurant at Canary Wharf, I wanted to go here when it was launched, unfortunately the first time I tried it was a private function, but I have been in there twice since, the staff are a real asset and very welcoming. There was a DJ on the decks and she was very good. A big shout out to Daniel who was very approachable and talkative, a great asset to any lively team.

Fantastic location to start. The Wagu scotch egg is a great starter, the rump steak while the cheapest cut on the menu is bursting with flavour, if you get a sauce dip your chips in it not over the steak! Have to say a steak knife was totally unnecessary the butter knife would have been sufficient. Definitely 10/10

M is a chain of (mainly) steak restaurants in or near Victoria and the City. This is their newest branch on the first floor of Newfoundland Tower a skyscraper dominating the western end of Canary Wharf. M is well signposted from Canary Wharf Jubilee Line station. It is accessed past a ground floor cafe up a short flight of steps into a space wrapping itself around the building g in a succession of bars and dining areas with seats directly overlooking the water and other less lofty concrete constructions below Alternatively there is plush banquette seating behind. Unfortunately my initial impressions were disturbed by the insistent best of the most trivial yet unpleasant background music. Politely reminding my waitress that a restaurant is not a disco she kindly arranged for it to be turned down although not eliminated altogether which it must be if common sense and serenity are to prevail at this place. As first the food I enjoyed a set menu (£25 for two courses, £30 for three) commencing with a plate stuffed with dried strawberries and melon blobs over which was poured a strawberry liquid converting it into a gazpacho. Steak frites comprised generous slices of rump with pitch perfect frites with tangy mustard. Best of all as I have a sweet tooth was a cheesecake with berries.

Saturday night strolling around Canary Wharf, temperatures dropped outside, and we really really craved for a nice comforting ramen at Ippudo to warm ourselves up. 21:07 we enter, and we had to face the most shocking fact. The restaurant is closed no more orders at this time! For the god of holy ramen! Saturday in London few minutes after 9 o’clock we can not dine in your restaurant? Is this even legal?
