Always a great experience coming here. The food is great and the staff very friendly and attentive.

We had much higher expectations. Exceptionally high price for very average food. Expected much better steaks.

I had reserved a table for 4 for celebration of birthday. I had specifically written also its a birthday celebration. We arrive 5 minutes early, they make us wait in the bar area 'for a few minutes until when our table is ready'. Fair enough given we're 5 minutes early.. 20 minutes later still no table, we're told just wait a bit more, but not sure how long as the other guests are still sitting on our table. When I went upstairs to ask what's happening for a second time, someone from staff/reception girl was apparently annoyed and rudely asked 'why are you here, did someone call you that the table is ready?? The nerve! Excuse me but the there's a reason we book a particular time. If you've sat other guests on a table which is reserved for a specific time, this is your fault. We told them were on a rush as we have other places to be after the dinner, give us an exact estimate of how much longer we're supposed to wait, they couldn't answer and we had to leave, after wasting 30 minutes... We ended up celebrating the birthday at Nandos... Terrible despicable service.

Great atmosphere and the food is amazing. Really worth a visit if you want to get some great meat. Been here 2 times now and highly recommend this for good food. It is on the expensive side, that is something to keep in mind. 🙂

Food was amazing,steak was one of the best I had. Ketchup 🤩 I gave 4 stars for atmosphere because of uniform that waiters were wearing, it doesn’t compliment the place in my opinion.

It was a beautiful experience throughout. The service was very attentive from the moment we were welcomed. Food was great and after we enjoyed a couple of digestives sitting at the bar. Not cheap but worth the money for the experience.

Food here is amazing. It's very expensive but the food and the service is top notch so it is worth the price. The steak is lovely and the bone marrow gravy is very good! Andre our waiter last night was very good and accommodating.

The views are wonderful, the staff are attentive without being overbearing and also knowledgeable. And the food is not only excellent but consistent. Every time we go the same things taste as good as the first time we tried them.

Great food and service, as you expect from Hawksmoor; however, half a dozen or more toddlers and young children from one large table were permitted to run and scream around the entire restaurant and ruin things for numerous customers for almost two hours straight this afternoon. Management and staff appeared uncomfortable too, with staff not infrequently having to dodge small kids while carrying drinks and plates. Management should have acted and asked the group to leave if the parents were unwilling to look after their own kids. One table should not be allowed to ruin things for everyone else, and restaurant management have a responsibility to ensure this.

Average .. at best , had the steak pie , tasteless with raw suet £26 !!! 7 chips .. … Waited 90 mins , food was poor , sorry but never again , may have Been a bad day for them but decided not to pay the £40 service charge either ..

Impressive venue, superb food and impressive staff. I know it’s not cheap but we don’t go that often. I find the food really tasty and very moreish. Staff very professional and engaging. I do like the Sunday roast and will definitely return.

The food is outstanding. The restaurant oozes luxury and indulgence. We loved it.

We ordered 2 steak and chips at 25 each. Along with 2 cokes. The cokes didn't arrive but featured on the final bill. There was also a few misleading prices. 5 pound for water and 4 pound for a peppercorn sauce that should have been included with the steak. The steak it's self was touch and in part overcooked with numerous unediable chunks. I wasn't be going again. The staff were very friendly and helpful however. Did not hesitate to remove the service charge and cokes from the bill.

Bar and steak house hence a bit noisy, but the meat was with really good quality and well cooked. Tried also the bone marrow gravy and matched well with the steak.

Horrible steaks were served. Everything was over salted and the food was not good. The sides also had too much salt. My wife was given a weird coloured steak and when asked the food was changed but apologies provided. The service was very poor and rude.

Caesar salad was too salty. Roasted scallops were not good and overpriced at £21 for a measly three pieces. Steak was completely bland and tasteless if not for the sauce that was separately ordered. I had reserved a table for my husband's birthday dinner and noticed that another table was served a complimentary cake with candle, while we were not. Inconsistent service. Also, what's up with the mandatory £1 donation and a bottle of water costing £5.50?!?

First time at Hawksmoor, Sofia was our waitress. What an amazing experience we had. She explained and answered all our questions, was attentive and made sure we were comfortable and happy the whole time. Always smiling. Place is nice and the food is great. Must come and try

The lady on reception made our anniversary meal special with one of their best tables with a fantastic view. Could not fault the service, our waiter who I believe was called Vlad, could not have been more helpful, friendly or attentive. Most importantly the food and wine were outstanding. Thank you!

What a find this restaurant is, a little gem close to Canary Wharf. We both had a ribeye steak which was amazing, succulent, tasty and cooked to perfection. The sides we chose complimented the steak perfectly. The steaks were a really good size and totally worth the money. The staff were very accommodating and friendly. Our son and his wife arranged drinks for us from Dubai as this night out was a monumentous occasion having not been out together for some time. We had a thoroughly enjoyable experience and would not hesitate to return. My husband said it was by far the best steak he’s ever had, and he’s had a few ! Thank you for making our night even more special than we could have hoped for ☺️

Good food but very dodgy cloakroom. I wasn’t handed back my bag upon leaving, as staff had placed it outside of the actual wardrobes, on the floor, for anyone to take. Really unprofessional and risky, as anyone could’ve taken it. When I went back for it, they told me to wait while they served other customers, when I had my taxi waiting as I had already intended to leave but wasn’t given my belongings. Really poor form that they insist on taking your stuff when it’ll clearly end up poorly guarded. Won’t go again for this reason.

It's very rare to find a restaurant in the UK that does a blue steak properly, with truly delicious creamed spinach. The carpaccio was great, but it wasn't served with bread. We had to ask for it. With the bread; it was wonderful. I was disappointed that there wasn't some sort of sauteed potato, which is what would have made this a perfect meal. We had the mash with cheese, which was fantastic, but a little too heavy. The peppercorn sauce was made properly also. The wine generally was extremely expensive, but the cheapest bottle of red wine was really wonderful. It does make you wonder about those above £100. The waiter was professional and knowledgeable. I was so pleased he didn't turn up with an Ipad. I think he was probably a little bored at the beginning of our meal (we went quite early for dinner), because he took our starter plates away as soon as we put that last mouthful on our forks. I don't like having my empty plate in front of me for 20 minutes, but it felt weird to still be chewing as it was removed. All in all, an excellent meal, which was expensive, but was isn't nowadays? I would say it's worth splashing out sometimes. It would be nice to be served bread with each course without having to request it, but in the UK it's just not normal sadly. I would also have liked to see steak tartare on the menu.

I have to say, I lost my Hawksmoor virginity over 10 years ago on my first ever deal celebration meal as a graduate in the Air Street branch. I still talk about that meal as life changing today as the ultimate treat or reward. Fast forward to 2024 and on a Monday night in Canary Wharf I can say I’ve just had the best steak dinner of my life. What’s better, it was on a Monday where we took our own favourite bottle of Malbec from M and S for the £5 corkage which makes the meal such good value for money. As a result, we went all out and shared a Chateaubriand from the board with creamed spinach, mac n cheese and chips. The bone marrow gravy and peppercorn sauces were faultless. My mate and I agreed this would be our death row meal. Silvio our waiter could see we were enjoying ourselves so much and as we waited a little longer than expected for our steak he gave us each a free glass on the house. For a Monday evening the place was packed, the staff were super attentive great music, great vibe everything 11/10. Can’t wait to come back.

Hawksmoor has been on my list of places to eat for a while! So glad we finally did. The service was next level and the food was fabulous.

Hawksmoor Wood Wharf is a British steak and sustainable seafood restaurant in Canary Wharf. A restaurant upstairs with private dining too. They provide food like ethically reared grass-fed dry-aged beef, sustainable South Coast seafood, and some of the Hawksmoor New York menu’s biggest hits.

First time here was a bit disappointing but came back and had a great experience. Very expensive but the cocktails and the steak is exceptional quality. Staff are all great, the venue is stunning and that bar downstairs!

I’ve been to this Hawksmoor and others, I must admit that this time I wasn’t very pleased The carpaccio was absolutely perfect, nicely sliced peaces of meat marinated and presented well My disappointment was with the chateaubriand, as you can see in the picture - it was sliced to very thick pieces and presented poorly, that’s not what I would come to expect from a restaurant the level (and costs) of the Hawksmoor Just to provide a full review I will add that the sides were great as was the fantastic bone marrow

Beautiful setting, food was good. Staff were very thoughtful and gave us the first available window table as it was my girlfriends birthday. Small touches make a big difference and for me that made me smile and feel appreciated. Would recommend it for the experience alone.

Steak is good enough. Crab on toast starter is ridiculous, some desserts are very good

really bad oysters, super tiny can’t even feel oyster in the mouth when eating. Steak is far below expectations, fully dried with medium rare? Dover 46 pounds for a small portion. Not worth the money at all. Service is not welcoming.

I love this hawksmoor. In fact, it is my swc9nd favourite. The food was great, the service was quick, and the location is great. It's one of only a few really good steak houses on London.

She took orders and came just one time to bother us 🌼✔️ Food: best quality- best taste - bit expensive for the portion of the meat they serve. Our order:- a couple of cocktails (a Lychee Martini and a Sour Cherry Negroni), we shared the bone marrow starter, an 800g bone-in Primerib (cooked medium), a beef dripping chips, the Spinach, Lemon & garlic, a couple of sauce Bearnaise and we shared the Peanut butter shortbread for dessert. The bone marrow starter was lovely (perfectly complemented by the onions and sourdough toast), the chips, salad and bearnaise were flavourful too. The steak was cooked just as we asked, was not chewy at all but still not mind blowing. I’ve had better steaks in London for sure and cheaper meals at Michelin starred restaurants! The Peanut butter shortbread was excellent. Our total bill for 2 was £192.

Very good meal and excellent service from Connor who was an absolute delight. Scallops, meat and dessert were all cooked to perfection. Giving 4 stars as my partner specifically requested a table with a view (as we were celebrating my birthday) but unfortunately the view was blocked and we were unable to change seats, however Connor made sure to take care of us and even offered us complimentary desserts. Would recommend!

Beautifully decorated restaurant with delicious food and attentive service. Very happy with our 3 course meal here, would highly recommend. Had a nice surprise when the staff brought out our deserts with Happy Birthday written on it, we didn't ask for this, but they knew it was a birthday occasion booking. Very nice touch from the team.

I would like to thank the management for their help, when calling in for drinks we realised I had left my bag in a black cab containing amongst other things my wallet. They not only tried to help by trying to find contact details for lost property etc, they wouldn’t take payment for the drinks we had. It was a nice gesture from lovely people. We wished we could have stayed longer as the drinks were great, the food looked amazing and it was a lovely atmosphere. We will certainly be back when next in London.

Horrible restaurant. The spinach and mushrooms were very greasy and the Caesar salad was especially salty.

Went for the Sunday roast in the afternoon, very busy at 2-3pm. Went for well done beef which was tender. A little bit too salty but in general nice.

My wife is not big fan of steaks, but I convinced her to go there for a special occasion, and afterwards she told me it was fantastic. First, the level of service is exceptional. All the staff is very friendly, and it's just great experience. Then the food: we tried the scallops, which are a very nice started, then the fillet tails and the Porterhouse, half of which we took home. Everything was amazing. And you definitely should leave some room for dessert. They ran out of bread pudding, but the sticky toffee is one of the best I've ever had.

Good food. Ordered 1kg of steak with fries and gravy. Very tasty food but abit on the pricey side. Our table was quite close to another table and as the other customer went to get into his table he knocked my drink all over me. Staff did not replace the drink which was a shame given the price you are paying.

Having heard amazing things about Hawksmoor, we were bitterly disappointed by the food quality. While the steaks were cooked to the right rareness, the quality of the meat was abysmal. There was absolutely no intramuscular fat or rib cap on our ribeye steaks. It was almost like the steaks had been defrosted poorly, leaving no visible grain in the meat. It wasn’t just the poor steak, all the sides were disappointing and overpriced (except for the bone marrow gravy). Mushroom was cold, spinach was nothing special and the chips were dry (essentially just oven chips). To be fair to the staff, they apologised and offered a discount on our next visit. However, such was the quality of the entire menu, we most likely not return. If you are looking for what this place promises to be, go to Flat Iron at a quarter of the price.

Tried a variety of food items and was happy to say the group of 5 people did not have anything negative to comment on. The service was exemplary atmosphere was not too loud or overwhelming. Beef-dripping fries & grilled bone marrow were impressive.

Delicious wide range of meat, as well as starters and sides. I have to say our very attentive waiter Aris made our experience ten times better. He was very polite and helped us out with selecting food and wine.

Lunch yesterday 27 Jan. A fantastic, modern restaurant in Canary Wharf. The rib eye steak was out of this world tender and tasty. Special shout to our waiter Daniel Z. Made the afternoon perfect with professional, friendly and efficient service. My wife has mobility issues - but to him, nothing was too much trouble. 1st class afternoon out. I recommend it.

Lovely steakhouse a stone’s throw away from Canary Wharf Station. The restaurant is spacious and airy, which lends to a pleasant atmosphere where you can relax, hear yourself talking and have a good time. The steak and chips was excellent (a diner in the group remarked that it was the best steak he’d ever had), and it was great to take advantage of a January lunchtime offer. Staff were pleasant and the service was prompt. A great experience - would certainly recommend

My partner and I came here for the Sunday roast and were disappointed. The 'sharing roast' comes with 2 slices of meat and 5 non crispy roast potatoes to share. Lots of cabbage and carrots which fill the majority of the sharing plate but fairly plain and lacked seasoning. Yorkshire's are big but burnt and doughy, and don't get too carried away with the gravy because it doesn't go very far. For the £54 paid, you would be much better off going to Blacklock where the food tastes a lot better, is a lot more in quantity and is slightly cheaper We won't be coming here again

Food was ok, but the service was extremely disappointing. Took over 2 hours in a pretty empty restaurant for 2 courses on a Friday lunchtime.

The taste of food is just okay. They are very rigid about how much they cook the hamburger. For example, I could not get it rare or medium. It was fairly overcooked. Otherwise, good. Staff members are excellent.

Food is always spot on, my absolute favourite restaurant - steak is the best in London! Cocktails aren’t that great and staff can be a little stuck up but apart from that, always a great place to eat. Always try the roasted bone marrow oysters.. very unique.

The food was very tasty however value for money was not good. Only thing i would go back for is the dessert which was lovely. However the service was not so good, the server was polite however, added on drinks we did not have to our bill, luckily we spotted this however we were both disappointed for such a nice establishment, furthermore there was a hefty service charge which I would not have paid due to this however was on the bill already. Not sure I would return and if I do I'd be more cautious.

I went there for my bday! I took advantage of the Jan specials and rump steak plus side was only £20! Food was amazing, the spinach were tender and lemony!! Loved them. The ladies at reception were super friendly and welcoming. The waitress who attended us was beyond top notch. I had visited this chain before, but not in Canary Wharf. I highly recommend it, worth it even when it's full price! Don't be shy and get them fries, they are to die for! Thank you for the free pudding to celebrate my day!!

Popped in without a reservation at 2pm on a Sunday . Although the restaurant was full , the staff managed to accommodate us . Food was great , especially the fillet steak 😋. Drinks a little overpriced but I suppose to be expected for London. Overall a great experience enjoyed by all our party

Excellent food, a lovely atmosphere and a great team. This was the second time that we had visited the Wood Wharf restaurant where we were served by Daniel Z who gave us some excellent food and wine recommendations and was very attentive to our table throughout the time that we were there. Really impressed by the level of service and would highly recommend.

We had dinner here on NYE and I had to post how lovely it was. Firstly, we had a couple of cocktails downstairs, which were very nicely made before being shown to our table upstairs. The service was friendly and polite and the ambience was great, but the best bit was the food ! For mains I had the roast chicken with buttered greens. It was a super generous amount of chicken and really juicy and tasty. I usually leave the skin but it was irresistible! My partner's steak Diane also tasted great with a wonderful sauce with gravy mash. I was stuffed at this point, so couldn't manage a desert, but we did share a passion fruit pavlova, which was perfect. I'd definitely recommend the food here and I'm now keen to try their Sunday roasts as soon as I can.

Sunday Sharing roast with the Chateaubriand for 2 - Man vs Food but incredible! The beef cuts were succulent and cooked to perfection, all the trimmings smashed it out the park and our server Jess was extremely helpful and kind the whole time. Really appreciate it and will definitely be back!

To all dear lobster friends, it's not worth going. Even though the offer of £8.70/100g for a whole native lobster is very appealing, somehow, all you get is half a lobster. I ordered a 400g whole lobster for £40ish and all i got was half. Even after asking the waitress she told me that this was a whole lobster, which it clearly wasn't. Additionally, the steak we orderer was overcooked even though we asked for medium. The taste was decent though but i felt a bit scammed, especially regarding lobster. Personally, I would recommend going to Zuma instead, same price, same food, but more of an experience.

Couldn’t ask more of a restaurant. They know what they’re about and they’re more than thrilled to get you on board too. Always somewhere I return to. And if you know somebody who does not think highly of steak, either from other dining experiences gone bad or because steak seems unapproachable, let this be the venue that dispels that. This is from personal experience with an ex-non-steak-enjoyer.

We had a great experience at Hawksmoor - went for my boyfriend’s birthday and couldn’t have been treated better. Both the food and service were amazing, we had 3 delicious courses in just over an hour! The serving sizes were very generous, plus the fabulous sticky toffee pudding was lovely. We enjoyed ourselves so much that we went back with my parents on the weekend! Thank you to all the staff for an amazing time, we’ll definitely be back and recommend it to anyone

Been to the one in the Central, Guildhall, which was far better. Service was slow, and rude. We just had the food thrown down to the nearest person without asking or even knowing who had what. The food was good but could have been better, drinks were again just ok, but for the price you would expect better. The head waiter was not too surprised about taking the service off the bill, which had wrong items on it. All in all was disappointed.
