City Cafe 2 in Tower Hamlets

Ordered a tuna and jacket potato. The jacket potatoe came without Tuna and barely any cheese. Will not be ordering here again.

Okay my sister has let a review couple weeks ago however these fraudulent people has made google remove it. This cafe is HARAM. To all our sisters and brothers their HALAL certificate is not valid and needs to be tested. They buy from a non Halal butcher for all their Lasanya roasts etc nothing is Halal. They cook the same bacon as Turkey Bacon on the same grill same oil. They have discrimination to all of our Muslim societies may Allah give all the Haram back to you people in Jahannama ( Hell ) The cafe is been giving Non Halal as Halal for many years!!! Never going again and we have posted it on our society of Muslim pages everywhere.

Great customer service, and like on my orders nothing was missing as they clearly double check the order before they send it out. The food quality was great and I'm glad they are keeping to there high standards. Looking forward to my next order

My fellow muslims don't eat in here, they may serve halal food but its not cooked in a halal way. They cook the halal products on the smae grill as the pork etc, usung the same utensils etc

Popped in with a few mates when walking past and wow. The food was top tier and the service was amazing they all had smiles on their faces. Big shout out to the chef for making the food. Top tier food at a good price, no one in the area can compete. Will defo be coming more regularly.

Go there once a month and their food is always very good. Never has there been a time I was disappointed with any of their food served every time I have been to the cafe! You can ask for certain items to be changed from menu that you order, for example I would swap the mushrooms for an extra sausage or fried egg and the cafe accommodates. The staff are friendly and professional. The cafe is nice, bright and clean.

Went there yesterday with my friend the seating is very tight we had a mix grill the lamb chop was really tough the liver was very small I have never had such a small mix grill wouldn’t go back

Went in for breakfast. The food was awesome. Great variety for breakfast. They were willing to make any menu adjustments you want. Prices are very reasonable. Highly recommend this place

Great traditional East London cafe offering a wide range of food on the menu, From traditional English cuisine to European Continental cuisine. Food is fresh and cooked in fill view of customers. Bright, warm and inviting colours on the interior design. Very spacious seating arrangements that can hold a large group of people. Customer service is friendly with a smile and fantastic. Staff always check back after food has been served to see if everything is to your liking. Always a great experience when dining here.

Terrible! Bad service asked for ketchup to be put in the burger and the chef only put 3 drops. Ordered a maple pancake but it was soggy and burnt. Beans where missing from the english breakfast i ordered and they ofered an 80p refund... A very big waste of £23 !!!!! Because everything went in the bin!!!!

Very bad experience, I saw the guy working there drop a cloth on the floor, and start cleaning a mark on the floor, then with the same cloth start cleaning the side and then clean some dost of the cutlery that's use for the costumers, I payed left never ever to return.... sort it out Ali

Ok food at best I watched 2 of their staff one who works in kitchen(female) the other who takes you're orders ( male in charge or works along side their chef) and preps you're food go outside smoke a cigarette go straight back im without washing their hands and go about their work like normal. It was a mild gloomy mid-January morning as I rocked up to East London’s City Cafe. I turned up tired, hungry and hungover. To say that Bossman sorted me out, freeing me of the aforementioned demons that had put me in an almighty struggle with the world that day would be an understatement. I was served quickly and with a graceful charm. I ordered the vegetarian grill with a 7up whilst my girlfriend ordered the chicken curry and a Ribena, we shared chips. Although the eatery was busy, our food arrived promptly and the portions were greater than Heung-Min Son’s ‘Asian Player of the Year’ trophy cabinet. Pretty damn big. Our food was delicious. I went from a state of being 95% hangover to 15% within a matter of minutes. Sheer joy. Bossman knows how to please. It has almost been 3 weeks since this life-affirming experience and I am honestly still reeling from it. On my next trip to E2 I will attend for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The thought of trying one of my all-time favourite culinary delights, the cheese omelette, at City Café enthuses me greatly. Bossman you more than delivered.

This cafe has gone down in my estimations. Quite a few of us have stopped going in there. I just want to make it clear it's not really the food or the staff as such. Their prices are a joke, every week they seem to change depending on who serves you. One of our party gets the same thing every week and always gets charged differently price going up not down?? £9.50 for a breakfast and a cuppa is a joke. Plenty of other cafes around that we can go to thankfully. Shame cause we've been going in there for years. Bye bye city cafe 2.

Fuimos con dos buenos amigos que viven cerca. Era un domingo por la tarde, no transitada, y sentí que era parte de la comunidad tan pronto como entramos. Muy amable, tanto con el personal y otros comensales. Los propietarios conocían su clientela y les trataron como amigos, fue una muy cálida bienvenida. Teníamos una mezcla de almuerzo, asado y desayuno tarde. Todo fue muy bien, a mi simple salchicha, tocino, patatas fritas como simplemente perfecto. El tocino tierno y sabroso, fresco, salchicha perfecta y no grasa y papas fritas calientes y bien hecho. Un buen cappuccino. No es lujoso, de estar un poco apretado (mi única queja) con una pantalla mostrando el juego en vivo en el otro extremo. Si viviese cerca estaría aquí mucho. Claramente bien cuidadas e impecables, es una delicia.

¿Cómo es posible ser tan grosero cuando alguien entra en pánico por un baño a las 9 AM y todo está cerca el domingo y le pregunté de forma civilizada y explicar que estaba en pánico con un fuerte dolor en el estómago y si era posible irme? rápido al baño y se niegan e invitan a salir del Café. Afortunadamente después de 10 minutos otro café abierto en una esquina a 1/2 minutos a pie y fueron muy amables y termino de tomar un desayuno increíble. Este lugar acaba de perder un cliente con este comportamiento. A partir de ahora ya no explotaré. Encontré un lugar realmente agradable y lo mejor es que vivo frente a tu cafetería. ¡Así que perdiste un cliente potencial! Servicio de vergüenza
