I visited TGI Fridays for the first time today and my first impressions were good but wow the prices are high! You can pay up to £26 for the ultimate burger for instance and the big mixed grill was £40 on its own! Saying this and feeling flush we decided to give it a run for its money and I'm glad to say it was actually really good. It should be as well for how much it cost. The lady who served us was lovely too so she got a £5 tip (cash, never off the card). We spent £71 all in all. That's 2 burgers and chips, 2 red wines, 1 refillable diet coke and 1 pecan pie dessert. You can make your own mind up if that's good or not. If I ever go again I'll make sure it's on my birthday so someone else can pay! Try it yourself if you dare.

I had such fond memories of this place but I am sad to say that I won’t be going back. It has completely lost its vibe and atmosphere. The decor, music and lighting used to be spot on and gave the vibe of Italian New York. Now the clinical white lights, stripped decor and ultramodern music has left this place feeling more like a canteen. It just doesn’t seem to know what it is anymore. The place is grubby, with broken seats in the booths and dirty floors. The food was overpriced, basic with cheap ingredients. The chicken tasted like the cheapest frozen chicken. The chicken stack had squeezy cheese with what appeared to be over processed bacon of some form. I question what percentage of pork it actually contained as it had the texture of a soft plastic. The fries were fine. The food took 45 mins to arrive. The staff were pleasant but I could feel they didn’t have the love for the place. I understand that though as the place looks like there is no investment from the top. I got the vibe that there is no effort in this place as there is an expectation of a constant stream of cash coming in from the shoppers. I don’t think there is any care if people return. My advice is don’t bother with this place. A real shame for what once was a good place.

We went for breakfast and was met by a pleasant waitress and shown to our table she was very friendly and polite and the food came hot and promptly. Staffordshire asked us a couple of times if everything was ok and the food was very nice .. Nice experience
