DOG FRIENDLY!!! Firstly. We visited this lovely Cafe this afternoon. Atmosphere was very relaxed and comfortable. Lovely seating. Greeted by two friendly and very helpful young Ladies. We had the Vegan Coffee Cake, a Pot of Tea and a Black Coffee. Dog Biscuits were given for the two Dogs. The Vegan Cake was divine, as was the Coffee and Tea respectively. Id highly recommend this place.

This is the best chip shop we have ever been to, and we have been to a few! Chips are thick, golden brown and not greasy or soggy, exactly how chippy chips should be! Great menu choices, really fair prices and chips portions are huge! The staff are also very warm and friendly and can’t do enough for you. Highly recommend visiting this chip shop.

Beautiful place, absolutely lovely staff…… Like good hotels used to be 👍 🏆 The food: I’m in the middle of a Steak & Ale pie with chips and veg…. I’m 63 years old and this is the best I’ve ever had 👅. It’s like a perfect cooked steak wrapped in pastry, teaming with taste, the veg is perfect, and the chips are the type that you just know you’re going to finish them all👅 If you’re in this part of the world anytime, I’d seriously recommend a visit 👍🏆🏆🏆

I ordered a king prawn butterfly , which is my favourite starter of all time, when I received my food,I thought they had put something in free , then realised it was my king prawn butterfly, it was four little prawns that you'd by from a supermarket at Christmas, I'm mortified tasted of garlic nothing whatsoever like a king prawn butterfly, dont order it if its your favourite, as it was just awful devastated was so looking forward to my starter 🥲

Well where to begin? My wife and I decided to celebrate our marriage with a low-key intimate evening meal with our families in this amazingly quaint, characterful and welcoming nook, set in a beautiful place. The owners were kind enough to go out of their way to open the restaurant specifically for us on a Thursday evening, and they constantly made us feel welcome, doing everything they could. Being a party of 22, they created a stunning dining space and decorated it impeccably to our taste! With the log fire on and views of the river, we felt so grateful. Despite being a big party, and only the two owners working, we never felt rushed and nothing was served too slowly. They even provided complimentary olives and focaccia which was amazing. The main meals themselves were generous, tasty and full of flavour. The majority of things, including the delicious Kimchi salad, was picked from their garden and the fresh fish to die for! The lobster rarebit was something else! Deserts were also amazing, although it was a challenge to eat such generous portions at the end! The Barti Tiramisu, excellent! We will be forever grateful to The Old Point House for facilitating our special day in such an amazing place and will recommend it to anyone! PS; a special mention for Sydney the Seal who decided to gate crash our photos by sunbathing in the background!
