The best restaurants in West Wales

What an amazing cafe! We came to Angle yesterday and were met with a warm welcome. We had a cracking sausage and bacon sandwich and the best cheesecake I have EVER had. Super speedy service. I don't usually leave reviews but this is well deserved of my time. Good work guys. See you soon x

Only had an americano and toast with marmalade it was really lovely, toilet was clean and fresh.

Looks like the Neuadd Arms is closed for the forseeable future as although you can book a reservation on the website, when you call the pub the answerphone tells you that the pub is closed. Just saying. Quite normal for Wales to have total lack of communication as it would have been good to know before setting off and arriving at a locked door.

Peppers is one of our favorite restaurants for several reasons. The food is superb and the service is terrific. Mykala is my favorite waitress. She is high energy and has a wonderful personality. I always leave with a smile on my face after spending time at one of her tables. The restaurant attracts wide array of clients and the atmosphere is very welcoming. Try Peppers for a top notch dining experience. You won’t be disappointed.

Lovely location, good beer and a good welcome. Dog friendly too and open to non members.

Visit Newport/Dinas every year and have been coming for over 40’years.. Golden Lion is great for dinner and lunches.. this time we had a brilliant lunch, great food and beers. Quality kids menu also.. Highly recommend..

I had the absolute pleasure of enjoying Sunday lunch at Billycan, and I have to say it was nothing short of spectacular! From start to finish, it was the perfect dining experience. The moment we walked in, the warm and inviting atmosphere immediately set the stage for a great meal. The service was prompt and friendly, making us feel welcome and well looked after throughout our visit. Now, onto the star of the show—the Sunday lunch itself. Wow! Every element of the meal was cooked to perfection. The roast meats were incredibly tender, full of flavor, and paired beautifully with all the trimmings. The vegetables were fresh and perfectly seasoned, and the Yorkshire puddings were light and crispy, just as they should be. The portions were generous, and you could taste the quality and care in every bite. It’s hard to find a Sunday roast that ticks all the boxes, but Billycan does it flawlessly. If you’re looking for the best Sunday lunch around, this is the place to go. I can’t recommend it highly enough and will be making it a regular spot for Sunday dining! Dinner was absolutely wonderful, what a great menu and the food was amazing as well as the service excellent. Both Dewi (the owner) and Zoe the night manager were of great assistance with a travel related issue we were having. Hats off to this team, this is a great place to stay and eat!!
