The best restaurants in Morriston Swansea South Wales

Last Saturday night I held a retirement celebration at Gallinis for 46 family and friends - it was faultless from start to finish. I originally looked at 3 venues in Swansea Marina and Baz at Gallinis was by far the most helpful, the most accommodating, and in the end produced an amazing night for us. They stayed in touch with me in the weeks/month ahead of the event in order to agree the menu, agree the table settings and talk about entertainment etc - nothing was too much trouble for them. On the day of my event May 11th, they let us go to the restaurant in the afternoon around 3.00 pm in order to decorate as we had the entire ground floor booked out. My family and friends arrived at 7.00 pm and Kurt and his team were ready and waiting with the Prosecco we had ordered for arrival drinks. The waitresses worked really hard making sure all of my family and friends were topped up regularly and were kept happy. We then sat down for food. How on earth the kitchen managed to produce 46 two course meals, on time, piping hot, and to such an excellent standard is really beyond me. Everyone was impressed with the standard of food and service which was consistently high throughout the evening. The staff were always on hand for anything we needed, and the service at the bar was quick and efficient. The whole experience was faultless and exceeded my, very high, expectations. Add to this a stunning setting on Swansea Marina.......perfect. Thank You to to Baz, Kurt and all of the staff at Gallinis who worked so so hard for us - and especially the hardworking waitress who joined in our singing :-) If you are thinking of having an event here just do it, if you just want somewhere special for lunch or dinner - go here. Attend this site early evening. Ordered a hot chocolate with cream and was given the vegan light whip. Then while in the middle of drinking my hot chocolate a Barista maestro came over and started touching my cup asking me if I’d finished. When I preceded to tell her I wasn’t she told me she needed to take the tray away to clean it. I stated I wasn’t finished and she move my cup and took the tray anyway. Honestly I think this is very rude.

So after having a family meal at Las Iguanas we came here for a quick drink before heading on somewhere else.The place was packed, yet we found a good table in a relatively quiet corner. We got drinks and I found the staff quick to serve us, it was service with a smile and the staff were friendly and welcoming.We only stopped for the one but this is a place that is return to during the day time.

Whilst waiting for the other half to get her eyebrows done I thought I’d pop in here for a hot chocolate whilst I waited. I then decided to have a lite bite to eat so had a toasted sausage sandwich.My drink (hot chocolate) arrived literally less than 2 minutes after I walked through the door.My foot arrived literally seconds later, it was extremely fast service. I also noticed that the staff were conversing with what appeared to be either a local or a frequent customer. Staff were friendly and welcoming. Hand sanitizer and paper towel was available on entering and all staff were wearing protective glasses and visors. Social distancing measures were in place but did not effect service.The other half arrived and her drink arrived at our table seconds after she walked through the door.I needed the loo before leaving so had to put my mask back on to move around the establishment.The toilet was very clean and smelt fresh. The gents had both a toilet and a urinal, there was no hand drier in the gents but evidence on the wall of where the hand drier once was. There was blue roll paper available to dry hands.The other half went to the toilet and said there was baby changing facilities behind the toilet door and that the ladies toilet was very spacious to allow enough space for a small buggy.All in all a pleasant first visit, I will return again when visiting Morriston high street.

We were there for Christmas lunch. We couldn't fault it. It was hot, tasty and plenty of it. The staff couldn't have done more for us.

Worst breakfast I've ever had ,the black pudding was like rubber,beans were burnt ,never go there again

Best kebab and food in Swansea we would never go anywhere, every time we go there the food is always10\10, and the portions are amazing it’s always filling, we can’t recommend this place enough, and the staff are friendly all the time

The chicken kebab is absolutely one of the best! Chicken is so delicious. The staff are also very friendly and nice.

Home made food, loved it. Not overly priced, lovely atmosphere, great staff and a great meal. We will be back.

😃😃Stunning food !! 😃😃 Just ordered for the first time, Ordered a pepperoni pizza and medium kebab and it was incredible! Best pizza and kebab we have ever had ! I will definitely be ordering again the portions are huge cooked perfectly, delivered fast and hot this is now my go to place for a take away amazing!🤩

Called in just after 11pm, and I was totally ignored by the girl behind the counter, so preoccupied with counting the cash in the till. Only after myself and another customer eventually managed to get her attention, I was served. Gave her my order, and when arriving home, I found that the three items I'd asked for (chips, large sausage, and a potato fritter), only the chips and sausage were packed. The chips were cold and soggy. All I can say for this establishment is very substandard food and absolutely terrible service. Would NOT RECOMMEND and I will definitely not be returning.

Fish was ok but no bigger than the other ones in the heater unit, soggy chips were ok. This is the most expensive fish/chips/curry sauce /battered sausage I’ve ever had. Friendly staff but £26.40 was not worth the cost.

Very busy place, stopped for bite to eat as smelt nice, had sausages , chips and gravy. Was very nice home made gravy. The wife had cooked dinner, beautiful. Crackling was perfect. Would definitely recommend and return.

What has happened to the cornbeef bakes ,,, these are the foundation of greggs why haven't they got any..I guess they've lost a lot of custom since the shortage...
