Milano's Cafe in Swansea

Whilst waiting for the other half to get her eyebrows done I thought I’d pop in here for a hot chocolate whilst I waited. I then decided to have a lite bite to eat so had a toasted sausage sandwich.My drink (hot chocolate) arrived literally less than 2 minutes after I walked through the door.My foot arrived literally seconds later, it was extremely fast service. I also noticed that the staff were conversing with what appeared to be either a local or a frequent customer. Staff were friendly and welcoming. Hand sanitizer and paper towel was available on entering and all staff were wearing protective glasses and visors. Social distancing measures were in place but did not effect service.The other half arrived and her drink arrived at our table seconds after she walked through the door.I needed the loo before leaving so had to put my mask back on to move around the establishment.The toilet was very clean and smelt fresh. The gents had both a toilet and a urinal, there was no hand drier in the gents but evidence on the wall of where the hand drier once was. There was blue roll paper available to dry hands.The other half went to the toilet and said there was baby changing facilities behind the toilet door and that the ladies toilet was very spacious to allow enough space for a small buggy.All in all a pleasant first visit, I will return again when visiting Morriston high street.

There were three customers in there for good reason. The food was mediocre. The play was too big for what the breakfast was they didn’t ask me how I liked my eggs. Which is very important for an egg connoisseur. The furniture and decor was a throwback to a bygone era

This was a great find. I was looking for somewhere to kill some time whilst waiting for our car to be serviced at Nissan. Really nice cafe with friendly staff. I had the Milano breakfast which was a really decent size, really hot as it was clearly freshly cooked rather than just food that had been kept warm and really good value. Certainly worth a trip and an easy walk from the garages on Neath Road. Will definitely be back!!

The review who wrote 'don't bother' is i think being very harsh. He/she suggests Memo's in Morriston as an alternative. Memo's has a serious deficiency: the Menu is a lie; I have been in there at least 4 times and asked for a cooked lunch - they have about 6 on the menu, including lasagne, chicken curry and chilli con carne - Really makes me angry that Memo's never have these meals anymore and never delete the menu. basically the only meal they do there is breakfast. Milano's on the other hand has a much wider variety and does offer everything it lists the menu. The food is pretty good. They used to be open in the vening , and my girlfriend and I loved going there then. Only open in day now.My only gripe with Milano's is the staff, the main waitress in particular. She is a regular staff member, and i think related to the owner. For some reason she never smiles, and i find her to be grumpy a lot of the time. At least that's the impression i get, and it does mar my enjoyment of the dining to some xtent.

I visit milanos regular. My first Sunday lunch yesterday was amazing & reasonable 👍. The turkey was very tasty

Milanos will always get a five star... Breakfast is always appetizing Meals are always stunning Staff always friendly Price is always fair Milky coffee to die for...

Always a lovely Sunday dinner, beef & veg cooked to perfection, not a large portion, but just right 10/10

Visited during lunchtime as a group of 11. Staff were very accommodating and the food was very nice. Portions were very large and we found it to be great value for money. Will certainly return

As the picture suggests, paid £4.70 for this breakfast roll. It tasted ok but if you want a good breakfast in Morriston, go to Memos!

Had lunch yesterday in Milanos in Woodfield street in morriston exellant food,spotlessly clean,very good service and very reasonable prices, we will definatly visit this establishment again

You cannot fault the quality of the food or service at Milano’s. The cafe is run by a lovely friendly team of staff and nothing is too much trouble for them. I visit the cafe regularly and have tried many items off the menu and all have been excellent. I also like that it’s very easy to eat healthily here as well as being able to have a massive full English. The chips here are the best I have tasted and are proper ‘chip pan’ style. The Sunday lunches are delicious and always cooked perfectly.

Lovely budget range cafe in the heart of Morriston. Great for a substantial breakfast or lunch. Lovely friendly staff. Quick service. Really good value. Also Sunday lunches available

Meet my family here every Monday for a coffee. Food is good have eaten a few different things on the menu breakfasts are good. Friendly staff always happy would recommend 👍

Great cafe in the centre of wood field street. Open 7 days a week. Great Sunday roast for just £4.95 including tea or coffee. Friendly atmosphere and great staff. First class service.

Service was a little slow however I have not had such polite service anywhere in years. Will definately be returning.

Visited here for breakfast the day we left for holidays...as always clean and tidy seating area, and food average for this type of venue .... there is a substantial menu which we've tried a few and haven't been disappointed

Good food when it eventually came . Far to long to wait we only get half hour lunch break . The food was good not anything to shout about tea was awful even after me requesting strong tea .

The food is all cooked freshly with good quality ingredients. Delisious milky coffee and so well priced. Big menu with lots of choice, definitely deserves a visit.

Called in here for lunch. Very good welcome when we arrived and the food was of good standard. The cafe was quite full and i was told that it is always like this.

Breakfast was average, both ordered coke to drink and it was clearly not real Coca Cola it tasted awful and like there was washing up liquid in it. Friendly staff and ok food

Took the kids for a tea time treat, my 6 year old and 4 year old both knew exactly what they wanted but it wasn't on the kids menu..

I have been to this cafe a couple of times and found it to be very friendly and the food to be very tasty. Ideal spot as bus stop is just across the road if you want to catch the bus into Swansea centre.

I popped in for coffee and the friendly staff were efficient and coffee was served quickly and with a smile. Foods were being served and they looked and smelled good and appetising. The establishment is open of an evening and either alcohol free wine can be served or own bought wine to accompany the meal. This establishment is on the main Morriston Road and on the number 4 bus route. I will certainly make this a regular haunt.

Terrible place they served everybody before us kept glaring at the guide dog speaking in they language straing at the guide dog same time terrible portion size for what it is ask for steak medium rare had it well done tiny portion water not offerd to guide dog we been to lots of cafes restaurant the guide dog is treated well felt very uncomfortable being there with they glaring looks never go again will let other friends know not to go there

Just back from Milanos really good food, not surprising as the cafe is just as good in the daytime staff allways pleasant and helpful.

Disappointed is how I would describe this visit. The service is excellent and my wife enjoyed the chips on here steak pie dinner. My breakfast however left a lot to desire.

We called in here on a Friday lunchtime. There was only one other table in use. I had been here before a couple of years ago and it had been busy and though I can't remember what I ate but the food was good.
