We were there for Christmas lunch. We couldn't fault it. It was hot, tasty and plenty of it. The staff couldn't have done more for us.

The customer service was absolutely non existent. Overpriced food of poor quality. £7.95 for a caravary with two roasties is abysmal and I cannot believe I’m not dreaming. Cold boiled potatoes just sat in the pot fermenting leaving an awful smell. I will never, ever return.

We couldnt think of anywhere new to try for lunch, overall pub grub in Swansea seems to be going down hill a bit. So we heard that the food here was good. We had Beef Madras - delicious, chicken Madras - also delicious and hunters chicken - would have been good but it wasnt hot. Would have sent it back had I been told it wasnt hot !! Overall very good.

Tried this pub , because we were told the food was good , unfortunately for us the first experience didn’t go has planned as we wait for an hour for food , so we asked for a refund , but we tried again because the food being served looked good , Second time we were not disappointed , we ordered two mixed grill , which were exceptional value for money and everything was perfectly cooked, would recommend this pub for a meal just expect to wait .

We booked Sunday lunch, table booked for 15.30. Chef served; 2 slices of our choice of meat, 1 stuffing ball, 1 Yorkshire pudding & 2 roast potatoes, we were told to help ourselves to the other vegetables; stewed cabbage, mushy peas that looked old, garden peas, carrots but no boiled or mashed potatoes, the chef ordered mashed potatoes for 2 with a female staff member, she immediately started that there wasn't a y mash, approximately 15 minutes later after asking 3 separate staff members a very small serving dish was brought with a minute serving of mashed potatoes, I suspect they were powdered mash as 2 out of the 3 staff had already stated that there wasn't any mash left. The 3rd staff member came to our table to apologise saying "sorry there is lots of mash in the kitchen" we still waited at least another 5 minutes after that. My husband was so frustrated by the whole situation he said he couldn't stay to eat. The whole experience was disappointing, staff unprofessional and food looked to be of a very low standard. We left without eating anything, the staff member took the plates into the kitchen & I overheard her saying " they left because it was cold". I rate this as 0 star & will never go there again.

There's a great, reasonable priced carvery at The Smith's on a Sunday. Plenty of meat, add as much veg, gravy and sauces as you choose. It's not expensive and definitely worth the money.

Visited today, had few beverages before we ordered at 2.45 pm. We were aware the kitchen closed at 3pm. My curry was delicious. My friends hunters chicken came out cold with a slice of thick cheese unrelated. She sent it back and they said they would replace with fresh. It came back 8 mins later to which I already ate my meal. Same chicken, no cheese though. She ordered cheesy garlic bread, had garlic only, no cheese. Language was being used as I passed from bar to toilet from the kitchen.Beer good. Service average.

Ate here for the first time in a birthday party for Sunday lunch. The carvery itself was excellent and the desserts tasty, both for under £10. Even though there were 30 of us on top of their usual diners, the staff were pleasant and helpful and accommodated a few meal requests (booked in advance). I would highly recommend the carvery here and we will be going back to try weekday food at a later date.

Not sure who wrote the good reviews for this place, but it is not a good place for a nice breakfast. Poorly prepared and the stewed tomatoes were not good, more like tomato paste. The toast was smushed with an oily yellow margarine or some sort of orange coloured oil making it seem like it was wet. No nice bread options at all. The coffee was dreadful, like washing up water plus no cream for coffee. There is a much better cafe across the way from Annies, I recommend it.
