Great. Room was comfy but basic. Good location so easy for my travel which was important for today.

This is my favourite countryside pub, which stands in idyllic surroundings right next door to a lovely country church and community centre. I have lost count of the number of years I have visited this pub, and the number of owners I have known there. It is delightful on sunny days to sit outside with a drink and a great lunch and experience a true taste of a relaxed country pub. Highly recommended, if you have not visited, give it a try.

I am never ever disappointed by the food and service at tge Y Maerun! This is a place that you simply must not miss going to. Leighton is a charmer. The bar tenders and other staff are professional and always on the ball. The food is out of this world, and we especially love the Specials board - gives you something to look forward to your next visit. If you can call and reserve the sofas in front of the fire, I'd recommend it. Pub quiz on a Wednesday from 8pm!! Get there soon, it's a barrel of laughs 😃

This is a regular stop off for me en route from work and I’ve never had a bad thing to say about the place. Great coffee, lovely food, reasonable prices and fantastic staff who really do go out of their way to ensure you’ve had a good experience. Parking can be a bit of an issue sometimes, but the site is shared with other tenants, so it’s outside of their hands.

Absolutely fantastic Sunday dinner, could not fault it. Beef was lovely and roasties were to die for. Best Sunday lunch I have ever had, better than the Ivy. Thankyou very much.

The bibimbap and yum yum chicken are a must have! Only place I’ve been where I pick up the crumbs from the plate and eat every last grain of rice. Food is served fresh, sizzling, and hot. Evidently not pre-made and all made with love and care. The sole woman who works there and cooks everything is so sweet and really puts love into her cooking you can tell. Hands down the best authentic Korean restaurant I’ve been to it is a real hidden gem in Cardiff. Wished gordon ramsay would pay a visit she deserves Michelin stars! We first visited as a couple on valentines night where it was quite busy so it took longer than usual to get served, yet she was so accommodating and worked extremely hard well past closing time to ensure every guest had eaten. We were the last guests and there was no hint of a rush for us to leave she made every dish with care. She and her son I think were so lovely to us. We visited again tonight in march and she remembered us :) yes it may take slightly longer than a typical restaurant for you to get served (~20 mins) BUT it is well worth the wait and because everything is truly freshly cooked and not defrosted / microwaves / cooked from pre-made ingredients. One of the only places I’ve visited where this is the case so you may not be used to it, but if you want authentic food the wait is necessary. Please please give this place a visit and some love I hope the best for them they really deserve so much success. Their food is very affordable (we spent £47 as a couple ordering 6 dishes in total and left very full). Thank you for your excellent food

Visited on a quiet wednesday a few weeks back, lots of parking, lots of space for seating. Big selection of food and it came quickly as did the dessert. Staff were lovely would pop over again if I wasn't living 250 miles away.

Brilliant service with a smile nothing to much trouble … always friendly .. best in class bench mark .. oh Michelin star rolls with a smile

Eaten here a few times and food is always good. The main restaurant is nice. The bar downstairs is a little cold, but a hideaway for a quiet drink.

Visited from Kentucky, USA and the food was very good. I had some halloumi fries and some loaded chips. I want to try more from the menu
