Best in Newport and surrounding area , very good prices for very good food highly recommended go on give it a try if in the area.

Went for Sunday lunch was the worst meal l have ever had all pre packed food not traditional at all chicken came with pepper all over it was told that's how it comes

Too much cheese on everything and not enough pizza sauce. Could only manage one slice as it was too heavy and just tasted of bland cheese.

Awful place, no idea how they have so many good reviews - 8/10 times the chips are undercooked, pale, oily, tasteless, and mushy. A lot of their food is always incredibly soggy and oily instead of crispy and flavoursome. Literally, everything- from sausages to fish. Don't even try the burgers either unless you want real disappointment. Gone even worse since the recent change of management. The new staff clearly don't care about the business/regular customers and are not cut out to run a chippy, they can't prepare or serve food properly. Update: 21/08/24 went again to give it another shot, got their trademark uncooked white oily tasteless chips again, and the fish was soggy, not crispy batter. Waste of money. If you think I'm over exaggerating look at the other reviews or go try it yourself. If you actually want some cooked chips you're better off going to one of the takeaways on the same road. Not even joking. Update: 14/12/24 Been a few more times since and as expected, vast majority of the orders are their awful signature uncooked chips and soggy batter. Today's chips were exceptionally old and stiff, old chips mixed with fresh oily undercooked ones, absolute disaster 😭 everything else in the shop is blasted in a microwave, from their burgers to their sauces. If you enjoy the food from here in its current state you need to pinch yourself.

went there for a nice roast dinner after finishing food and getting the plates cleared and picked up, it took over 20 minutes for someone to come to us, we then got deserts which were fine. I even had to walk up to the bar to ask for my bill which i shouldn’t have to do. Even before ordering my food i asked if the 3 courses for 32 pound were still in place they said yes, I asked them each time they saw us about it they said yes it will be 32, even when we asked for deserts i asked again, they still said. Coming to pay the bill, it was 101 pound, i was shocked i asked them they double checked they said it’s that much, although i asked over 3 times about the deal. Also 16 pound for vat is ridiculous!!Bare in mind it’s only for 3 people. Food is okay for a pub

Went to a wake here. Food was great and staff lovely.

I usually stick to 2 chip shops but recently decided to give Harbour Fish Bar a try. The food is reasonably priced with plenty of options & meal deals. Staff are friendly & welcoming. They have a 5/5 food hygiene rating which is great. There is the option to eat in or takeaway. Accessible with some street parking.

Can't through ordered food from website no food no refund shop is shut. Tried ringing constantly engaged have emailed and messaged via Facebook no response

First time using the slow boat in years, got home to discover the egg fried rice was burnt, the chips were dismal and the sweet and sour chicken balls weren't balls at all, more overcooked battered chicken strip cut in to small inch size chunks. Was so disappointed with the whole meal I threw it away. Even the prawn crackers tasted burnt. Also portion sizes are ridiculously small considering the price and comparison with other Chinese restaurants. Not only did this meal ruin eating today but has literally put me off chinese ever again.

Quality has significantly reduced over the last 2 months, always used to be great. Been using this place for over 3 years. Food has been turning up cold, wrong (notes not read) and portion size has reduced
