Excellent wine and food pairing with great service. This small restaurant has a coffee shop attached. Their food is always based on fresh local ingredients and is prepared and served in a fresh contemporary style. The black pudding fried meatballs were fantastic and the scallops were large and well sauced

Overpriced food. Very small portions. Waited ages!! We said soup was inedible because of the amount of pepper used, we were given yogurt to cool it which obviously wouldn’t work and no apology. Apologies given for delay in taking nearly an hour to bring the food!! We had 3 meals , 2 teas and fruit juice.

The food is absolutely amazing! You get such large portions too! Will definitely have food from here again!

The food was up to standard and came out in a timely manner however a staff member named Deelia gave very poor service. Her attitude was enough to make a customer feel as though she didn’t want them there. Very abrupt and little to no patience.

Pedimos kits de ramen para tres que llegaron tres días tarde y tuvieron que ser binned . . no estoy seguro de por qué dhl hizo un trabajo tan terrible de entrega, pero a matsumai crédito se disculparon y organizaron un reenvío la semana siguiente. Lamentablemente, eso fue cuatro días tarde, y también directamente en el contenedor. Esta vez a pesar del correo electrónico y el correo de voz matsumai no han respondido... y solo puedo concluir que o se han rendido, o están abrumados por el volumen de negocios... de cualquier manera no creo que sus arreglos actuales para entregar a Cumbria sean sostenibles, y parece que estoy cancelando 50 libras.

We have consistently used Lake Spice as eat-in and takeaway since it opened. The food is excellent in quality and value for money. Even more so with the 20% discount for self collection of takeaway meals. We’re intending to use Lake Spice again this evening as a birthday choice.

1st visit & was very impressed with the excellent food and service, will definitely be coming back. The fish and chips with curry sauce was excellent 👍

We hired the function room for a funeral wake. The venue was excellent - clean, light and airy - a very functional space. The buffet was very nice and good value for money. What really made the venue special was the staff. Emma the manager really went out of her way to make things as easy as possible for us and meet all our requirements. We would also like to thank Matthew and Rhianne for all their hard word. We highly recommend the Victoria Park Hotel. Chris and Jan Perry

We went here for our kid's bday, and there biggest asset is the variety in the menu, and everything we ordered tasted yum. We went for their chicken thali, chicken lollypop, vada pav, dosa and gajar halwa. Everything was yum, but the lollypop and gajar halwa was exceptional! Highly recommend it! FYI- we are indians and reasonable cooks ourselves, so know our Indian food :)

Lovely local pub. Staff all friendly. Tried several dishes and good quality everytime. The new landlords are friendly and accommodating No complaints from me

Nice but no baby changing although frustratingly you could see where a changing table had been in the loo - not for families with small kids. Decent coffee, nice food. Definitely more a student place.

Girlie Christmas catch up with a dear old friend. She booked the table. I had never heard of the restaurant. What a find. Absolutely fantastic food and wonderful team of chefs as well as front of house staff.

Food was actually tooo good what a slay. However no free prawn crackers😔
