The best restaurants in Cardiff South Wales

We hired the function room for a funeral wake. The venue was excellent - clean, light and airy - a very functional space. The buffet was very nice and good value for money. What really made the venue special was the staff. Emma the manager really went out of her way to make things as easy as possible for us and meet all our requirements. We would also like to thank Matthew and Rhianne for all their hard word. We highly recommend the Victoria Park Hotel. Chris and Jan Perry

Visited this restaurant over the weekend for a family event and to say the food was star quality is an understatement. Staff were attentive so a huge thank you to Anna and Sophie along with all of the kitchen crew for the incredible work and how efficient they all were with service to our family and friends. The Sunday menu had something for all parties will be back in the future that’s for sure!!

We went here for our kid's bday, and there biggest asset is the variety in the menu, and everything we ordered tasted yum. We went for their chicken thali, chicken lollypop, vada pav, dosa and gajar halwa. Everything was yum, but the lollypop and gajar halwa was exceptional! Highly recommend it! FYI- we are indians and reasonable cooks ourselves, so know our Indian food :)

Waited at ford for a service and MOT . So decided to walk here and wait. I asked the staff if I was OK to wait as it would be a few hours. They were fine and said take a seat and not to worry. I had a lovely few hot chocolates and a toasted sandwich. Really cosy little shop and really friendly staff ☺️

Fantastic! So lucky to have this in our doorstep! The staff are always so friendly, welcoming, and knowledgeable! We love the concept! - it’s great fun for a group! They change their cheese board options regularly (weekly?) and it’s great fun to try different things and the quality/presentation is always great! I also think it’s excellent value for money. They often offer cheeses you wouldn’t find at Sainsburys cheese counter …. The wines change regularly and are always excellent with very accurate descriptions! Very well priced too! They are extremely accommodating of allergies (nut in our case) and we really felt cared for and that the staff took this very seriously whilst also being accommodating! A great place- thank you!

unfortunately wasn't like I had before chicken Biryani no flavour , a bit better chicken tikka masala but honest I can cook better .

Former Wetherspoon pub, but now closed down as the current occupiers have t paid the rent for over a year.

Ordered three times - always piping hot, fast delivery and taste is excellent.

not bad place, quite busy during thee lunchhour, so bit difficult finding a seat, so watch out for that, fast music, eat to the beat. Eat quick.

Very cool little cafe shop! everything is tasty and fast! good service and nice prices! will be back again for lunch!

Gran lugar que tuvimos que cazar como turistas a la ciudad, perdiéndonos dos veces. ¡La espera valió la pena! Gran café helado, queso a la parrilla era mejor que el Starbucks cinco queso tostado y la opción de añadir mermelada de chile en el lado era un toque encantador. La papilla Nutella se servía en una taza enorme y era como un abrazo caliente (o cwtch! ) e incluso convenció a mi compañero de que la papilla es deliciosa, especialmente con coberturas! A great pub in Cardiff bay away from the business of Mermaid Quay. Great selection of beers, wines and spirits. Wednesday nights are quiz nights which is always fun. Friday nights are great as they have DJ Bobby Smooth who plays chill out RnB. Saturday nights it's DJ Silver who gets the whole pub dancing with his 90s garage and RnB. Sunday they do the best Sunday lunch in Cardiff - highly recommend trying it! Big portions! The owner Shaun is super friendly as are the bar staff including Bev, Owain and Marcel who always go above and beyond with their service. What started as just "popping in for the odd one" we are now firm regulars and wouldn't look to go anywhere else. Everyone is there to have a drink and a good time, don't hesitate in joining in!

So nice to be able to have exceptional quality coffee at an affordable price! Staff are extremely friendly and the place looks clean and kept well! Nice to see an independent coffee shop in central station
